  1. Asulon's problem was that the map was far too big.

A future map needs to be able to connect all of the nations- Asulon lacked this and roleplay dwindled to race-specifics roleplaying.

Aegis had King's Road which was a central roleplaying hub. The larger the map, the more spread out the playerbase is and we end up with something like five people to a capital at the most roleplaying at once.

Also I think what we need is AN ADVENTUROUS map of adventureness.

( I started every sentence with an A. Just like our maps. )

  2. "Calling one and all!"

    Gortons_Fisherman.gif

You see a man in a mustard-coloured coat ringing a bell at the Vailor Port.

Over his shoulder, he carries tons upon tons of fish hanging off of various fishing lines.

"Come to the Hiraeth Fish Market!"

he proclaims, enthusiastically engaging everyone who steps across his path.

"Our deals are fair and we take care of our customers,"

the man explains to the travelers.

"And we can guarantee you the freshest catch."

    <>

He tells you to head to the Dwarven docks, and then (facing the water) head to the farthest ship to your right. The fisherman mutters something about the boat being the "white something" but he informs you that he cannot remember the name. He tells you to head straight up through Adunia until you reach Hiraeth. "Once inside," he says, "head up Elendil Heights and make a left at the first landing and continue straight." He tells you he is excited to see you, before continuing on his way, rubber boots squeaking away in the distance.

    "Hope to see yah there!"

OOC Edit: The jacket is not plastic. The bell is a handheld bell.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? I absolutely do. Applications are the beginning of all roleplaying experiences that will exist on our server.

Why do you want to be an AT member and do you have the ability to work with others? I want to be on the Application Team because I enjoy being able to guide new players and give them a memorable experience on Lord of the Craft. I have previously been a member of the Application Team, as well as the GM Team and the Media Team. I do work very well with others.

Do you recognize that you will be given extra responsibilities such as working on the LoTC wiki, assisting the AT in creating guides and helping new players with their questions upon logging into LoTC? Yes, I do understand and accept these responsibilities as they come forth. I have done so previously and I will continue to provide help where it is needed.

Is there anything else you would like to add? Nothing else! :)

  4. MC name: Haelphon (Formerly AcerBuddy)

Character's name and age: Haelphon Addechio Tarus / The Treelord / The Huntsman; Age around 900 years old.

Character’s Race: Half Elf, Half Human

What magic/s did you learn?: I was permitted to have both Druidism (Nature's Communion + Control of Nature) and abilities as a War Cleric.

Who/how did you learn magic/s?: For the Druidism, I was grandfathered in due to my roleplaying from Aegis. Haelphon was not able to achieve any of the Druidic healing due to his never actually being part of the Order. I actively partook in this magic use, as it was important to my character as "The Treelord" who was one of the only Druidic Magic user outside of the order. As for the War Cleric, I learned from Braxis (jroy96?) in Asulon and was an active member of the order. If there is OOC conflict I will gladly sacrifice the War Cleric abilities for my Druidism abilities.

Offer an explanation of said magic/s you learned:

Druidism: I first began roleplaying with this magic when I won Laurelin's tree-building contest in Aegis. I became a leading developer of Malinor and Laurelin's Sister City. The ability to build such immense trees was attributed to my character's magic to make sense in-character. I eventually became the High Prince and the magic became a strong part of my background. What made him so unique was his attunement to Malin without being a member of this order. This was all approved in Aegis. My character continued to become more and more in-tune with nature's surroundings, and using the alias of "The Tree Lord", my character began to become more isolated from the outside world, growing forests and revitalising nature, keeping to himself. At that point I had been grandfathered into the magic list and I continued to roleplay strongly with this magic.

War Cleric:  My War Cleric experience began in Asulon as part of a new roleplaying experience for myself. I went through many tasks to attain the ability of the Holy Light. While on the more aggressive side of the Clerical path, the teachings were based more on a peaceful way of attaining order, much like the Druidism. I remained part of the order for awhile before disbanding. I would continue to use this magic mainly for fighting mobs and not so much as a way to PVP.

Thank you for your time, MAT! Please PM me about anything regarding this application.

  5. This was awful. We were all thinking it, somebody has to say it. Sorry if I get everybody a little mad because their video didn't work out. The audio was not very good, the overall quality of the questions asked was bad, and the fact that I was cringing half way through the video is not a good thing.

If this is going to work, ask the important questions, the stuff that matters not "What do you think about edgies.. hehehe. My character is edgy." Ask important stuff like "When are we going to see the release of the North that has been promised for the longest time?" "Can you give us an estimate for when Teamspeak will be back up?" "What's the current state of Nexus?" "When will mines be reimplemented?"

This was just pathetic and I KNOW that our Media Team is better than this, at least it was. Also, bring people that we want to hear from on, not random GMs based on who knows what. I'd much rather hear from Urasept or Tythus, who seem to be doing nothing all the time, to hear what they are actually doing and maybe tell us (the playerbase) what they have actually been up to.

Goodluck in the next few videos, I hope they're nothing like this one.

    And I quote, good Pok,

As this is the first episode, please be aware that it will get better and more fluid as time has its way with it.

  7. While searching the bodies along the coast, Khel finds the body of the tree-lord. He scoops the corpse up and takes it away, to prepare it for the corpse for an elven burial.

Letters have been sent to the Tarus family, informing them of this tragedy

((Ganna make a funeral event sunday. Will post it soon. You sir are getting a statue))

    (( <3 Looking forward to partaking <3 ))

  8. ((Ambient Music

And so they stood, on a foggy island- the sons and daughters of Malinor, there to make peace with their nightmares.

Oh so the black mist swirled- among them stood the children's children, timeless as they fought

    together, as one.

On this island a red crystal glowed, flying high above the air, hearts and minds it would ensnare.

In the light of the danger there stood a man- one who's name was known to some, but long forgotten

    by the most.

Among them he always stood, but in this light, would be his last.

    druid_concept_by_peterprime-d64aybd.png

A survivor of many horrors, he knew his time was at an end.

Many had tried, but were let down by the ones they asked for protection.

With the help of a Lion, he sought courage to die, a thrust into the stone would be the last

    of his kind.

A warped sense encrusted the earth around them, as witchcraft and blood clashed.

With a final force of breath, a thrust that represented hundreds of years in the making dealt the

    last blow to the gem.

A cataclysmic reaction, it erupted in shards, while those who survived leaped into the water below.

The calm had come, and those who were now deceased lied on the beach.

Amongst them, the one formerly known as the Lord of Trees.
