Thank you, it was so much fun! There were so many issues in the background it was hilarious from chad disconnecting, to me getting tp'd away right as it started by omtraspectral over a bit of confusion. But in the end it was awesome! Id like to see those paintings too!

Name 5 things edmund Built besides your guys luxury keep?

How is the Keep a luxury? What good is a Kingdom without a castle, and he's usually dealing with other things while it's being built by someone else. As for other things, lets see.. The new training grounds for the rebuilding of the guard that you managed to cripple into idiocy before your leadership was removed. The theatre, a bunch of houses, more shops, expansion of the city, oh wait it doesn't matter because you're an arrogant fool who only looks for little excuses to try to tarnish his image in anyway you can. You just cant accept that you messed up the guards, were replaced, and still haven't managed to help anywhere succeed. If Dan returns and decides he wants Alstion restored, we'll no doubt end up helping rebuild that too. It's hilarious to see that out've all my counter arguments to everything that people have said against Edmund the only rebuttal you can come up with is "Name 5 things Edmund Built besides your guys luxury keep?" Perhaps you should stop embarrassing yourself further.

OOC: Taxes, enough said. With taxes you would be earning much more than double what you are getting now maybe even 10x.

OOC: I actually lol'd when Vardak read out your quote in TS right after I got like 3 complaints about the current and very light tax system, you know how much money taxing all the shops in Alk'hazar would make per week? about 3k, taxing the towns under Oren's protection and the shops? About 10k if were lucky and even the 10k is a big stretch, you seem to think taxes are the solution to everything and not about how they adversely affect people in their game style, many people would move into the wilds simply to avoid a tax and sell off their shop, people mainly gather things they need and buy cheap things like food. Plenty of shops are automated and wont be able to pay taxes very well without some kind of plugin and we cant just grab one out of thin air just because we would need one, things don't happen magically over night because we want them too, if you think a tax is a perfect solution, then create a flawless way to tax every shop, and city within Oren and show it to me.

We are not starting from scratch. We have less money but we have more ways of making it. Edmund should be using his funds to build forts to protect Oren and more importantly to him Alkhazar but instead he uses it to build houses. He shouldn't care if people don't want to be taxed because then the army will be stronger and I'm sure if the people thought about it they would prefer to live much longer and be poorer than being richer and live short lives. And without taxes people only have to earn enough money to buy a house and then they don't need much of an income after that but with taxes people will always need a job so Oren will have more shops, farms and overall be a better community.

OOC: Thank god you're not in a political role because you seem to have just ignored everything I've said and made up your own random ideas of the way a kingdom should be run, we have no money lets build forts that will use up the last bit of our money and generate zero funds and require more defense, great idea!

If you're truly convinced enough to believe that because the army isn't present for a single fight that we've somehow decided to throw away land and it's people and have no desire to aid anywhere but Alk'hazar, they you are as arrogant as you are foolish. The army is small, and poorly funded due to our decision to keep the people of Oren happy and reconsider taxing them, the King rides with his army whenever he can and even I come to the aid of Oren when it is needed.

The King may not be a publicly open to people as Pampo, this is because he is always busy, busy building, busy creating laws, busy helping people setup new towns, busy guiding his advisors when I'm not around, busy aiding the military, he's always very busy. Pampo did not have the problems we have today. The undead were not on our doorstep. There was much less need for a constant and sizable army, the population was small, and people did not seek the luxuries of Alk'hazar or Oren as rapidly as they do today. Pampo had his own personal funds for the army and left none to aid King Edmund. We are starting essentially from scratch and a nation HAS to begin from it's capital, Alstion is not lost and we will see it restored, while I grieve for snowy fields, losses are not entirely preventable, we are mortals as you are. Nothing more, you are so ready to point a finger instead of asking how you can aid our nation that you throw away the knowledge I seek to give, and only look at a shallow vision of your surroundings.

For now I grow tired of trying to become a teacher and have further duties to aid in the expansion of our army that you expect to come to your aid, and will not be replying to letters further, you may seek me out in person if your curiosity to learn of a way to help finally grasps hold of you.

For those who seek Knowledge of a Kingdom - King's Advisor Ivrae.

While it saddens me greatly to see that people have such a narrow sight as to why things happen within our Kingdom and seem to fall on our King's lap for blame, I believe that even they deserve the right to at least attempt to open their mind and learn. However terrible it may be that the North has fallen and cities have been lost, people seem to have no knowledge of how the kingdom actually works. The King, myself, and our advisors are currently rebuilding an unfinished Kingdom that Perea left behind, the Kingdom is low on funds, and guards are hard to keep happy without an Income, buildings are hard to build without funds, coming to the aid of those in need is hard when a small group of guards currently having their ranks rebuilt from the ground up are busy being retrained.

As the King's advisor I'm sure my words will fall on deaf ears who assume I am some sort of consort to him. But I whole heartedly desire nothing more than to see the Kingdom restored to it's former glory and have done everything within my power to aid in this. I've hired 4 additional advisors to aid me and the King and they've all done phenomenal jobs in developing not only the Great city of Al'khazar but the Kingdom of Oren as a whole.

So, you expect aid from an army? Then do not complain when you are given a small tax to ensure it is armed and supplied. You expect Homes within our protection? Then learn to understand that houses do not appear out of thin air, architects are needed, land is needed, as are funds and materials, and most of all time.

Those of you who think we somehow desire to just let your cities fall ache my very heart with your hatred. Oren is a beautiful and hearty nation that should never fall should but one man defend it, and one man is always weak, the strength in humans is that in our honor and respect for one another. You wish to insult your King who does nothing but put as much effort into aiding his people as best as he can.

While I'm sure you think I've done nothing thus far but attempt to make King Edmund seem like the best King ever, he is not. But this is because he is a human like the rest of us, we are flawed. None of us are perfect, Pampo was a great King also, but he did not have the issues we have today, Edmund's shoulders bear a somewhat larger weight and although you will always be welcome to your freedom of speech within Oren, I plea that you look past things he cannot control and respect him for what he has done for our nation, if you can do nothing more to aid us, all we ask is respect.

I'd like to buy a small or medium home, whichever is available first, I could also apply to be a hunter possibly, or just a guard seeing as how they're badly needed.

At the age of 12 Ivrae's Father was murdered, his killer never found, Ivrae, as stubborn a child as she was, wouldn't wait around for her brothers to grow enough to care for the land, or for her Mother to remarry and took up her Father's duties herself, she readied the land for crops, hunted wild animals for their hide and meat, and even learned to fight off more dangerous foes. Once her brothers were ready to care for themselves and their mother, She took up her families long inherited armor and set off to find her Father's killer, and begin her own life's adventure.
