  1. Bravepaw’s Awakening

Bravepaw’s eyes slowly begin to open as the warm sunlight shines through once again. The now unsettled motes of dust start to dance through the air, twirling in beams of light, as his head creakily turns taking in his surroundings. One long, deep breath after another slowly tests the limits of his lungs.

Having been in this situation time and time again over the course of several centuries, Orlanden is happy to see Bravepaw conscious again, but isn’t surprised. He could feel the awakening growing nearer with each rising sun these past weeks.

“You’ve been out some time, brother. And look there. Seems I’m not the only one here to greet you.”

As a large plume of aromatic smoke billows from his nostrils and the bowl of his pipe, he points to a plateaued clearing in the forest just beyond some wild raspberry bushes.

Bravepaw’s pupils shrink, dilate, and shrink again as he blinks to clear the fog from his sleepy eyes. He gazes to the clearing to see a mother black bear standing upright, reaching toward the boughs of an oak tree for a low-hanging beehive. From behind each leg, a cub appears. The two impatiently wait for their fill of the fresh honey.

Seeing the bears, his sleepy face forms a slight smile, but loses it almost as quickly. “I don’t remember falling into hibernation this time. How long has it been?”

Tending to the fire and careful not to tip over the pot of venison stew warming from the night before, Orly pauses to think.
“Hmmm… It’s been about 300 years since Osage sprouted and... over 600 since Normandor. You’ve only been in hibernation for right at 110 years, now, though.” He chuckles, “Shorter than last time.”

Bravepaw sits up in his makeshift bed within the lean-to that his brother built around him to give him some protection from the elements. Finally emerging from the slumberous fog, he scans his surroundings more intently and realizes that they are on the slope of a mountain overlooking unfamiliar lands.

He begins plucking dead leaves from his hair, “Where are we?”

Orlanden chuckles, “A new land, new people with less than a handful of old, friendly faces, and a new way of life from what I’ve gathered.”

“For better or worse?” asks Bravepaw, sitting still for a split moment. Suddenly, he begins frantically feeling for the seed that he’s used to have hanging around his neck, but can’t seem to find it.

He fixes his gaze on his brother, but is now alert enough to quickly use his reflexes to catch something moving through the air toward him. He opens his hand to see the dimly glowing Elder Seed. Knowing it’s still safe, he lets out a sigh of relief. Then it dawns on him...the seed is glowing!

Orlanden stirs the pot and begins filling a small, hand-carved wooden bowl with stew, “I’m still sorting that out, to be honest. One thing I know for sure, though...our seed has started it’s growth cycle. I knew it wouldn’t be long until you woke up.”

He hands the bowl to him and smiles, “Eat up. You need to regain your strength. It’s from last night, but tastes even better today.”

Bravepaw nods and takes a sip from the edge of the bowl before guzzling a generous portion from it in one go. Bowl in hand, he slowly stands up and walks to the opening of the lean-to where he can see an overview of the new land below. As the sun hits his skin, he lets out a peaceful sigh.

“Change, like scars on the skin, becomes part of us. I suppose when you’re our age, it would be rare to see an elf without many of them”

“Well, I’m running out of room myself”, Orlanden says with a laugh, “But from what I hear, there’s much that’s changed since we last spent any waking time together.”

Bravepaw smiles when he looks down to his arm and notices a streak of bark slowly forming. “Not all scars are a product of turmoil, however. You know, my favorite trees are those that change. As the cold bites, the leaves turn an array of vibrant colors. While the leaves fall from their year long home amidst the branches, we can rest assured that we will see the flowering buds once more come spring. Without the still quiet of winter, we would never witness such character from a tree.”

He places the Elder Seed back around his neck and closes his eyes. Finally, he completely fills his lungs with air through his nostrils.

“I believe… Yes... I smell the scent of autumn on the wind. It’s so strong.”

Orlanden walks up and stands beside him as they look out and over the world beyond them. He takes a big toke from his pipe and sighs with a newfound ease after the awakening of Bravepaw. He places his hand on his shoulder and smiles, “Come, brother. We have work to do.”

  2. As far as others interacting with underwater folk I was thinking of large underwater bubbles that hold air that they build parts of their city in. Kinda like the Diving bell spider. More so to accommodate dry skins then for themselves. I actually like the idea of small tribes with a network of trade culture. The world is covered with water everywhere. They would be a large network of tribes all with their special niches that suit their life in their particular waters. I'd Love to be evolved with that RP and creation. They don't need to be a large scale race but the waters seem so bare and lifeless. Imagine a reason to explore the deeps, to travel by sea. What corral reef towers in the sea hide life, or sunken log homes in the swamp awaits you if you yet hold your breath. I think it would bring a lot of RP to an area that is otherwise inactive ( The Waters ). Imagine Lizard Pirates, how bad ass would that be. Anyways I know there's a lot of dead races but If I even came across one or two under water villages with lizard people I would be tickled pink.  This is the only biome not inhabited and I SOOOO want a water race.

  3. I brought this up in the past but I'd think an Argonian type race that could build it's cities underwater, move faster, and breath under water would be super cool. I don't get enough playing time these days to run a nation / race like that but maybe someone else can get that ball rolling just so I can enjoy the RP of being a Spearfishing Lizard :P . Anyone else think Lizard folk would be cool?

Just checked it out. I ended up watching the whole playlist when I initially was just going with one video to see how it is.

I'd love to see some extended videos on bow history as well, that'd be incredibly interesting. Especially the compound bow! :D.

That's a great idea for a video, thanks! I'll gladly do a video on that in the future.

  5. Thanks for the support everyone. I edited my post and attached the link. I hope you all like the content. I'll still be adding to my archery series but I am working on a fitness / weight loss series this week as well.

  6. Hey guys and gals, Bravepaw here! Anyone that role-played or chatted with me knows I love archery IRL and in character. I made a "Beginners Archery Tutorial" on YouTube. I was curious if there'd be many people here that would be interested in seeing it. If so I'll link it here. I also vlog, travel, do fitness tutorials, and survival tutorials. I really loved this community over the years and I'm hoping you folks would enjoy my content. Let me know and I'll give it a link.

Edit: Thanks for the support guys. Here's the link:

(( I'm hoping to do this every week or bi weekly. The events and pricing will likely change and evolve over time, I'll see what's popular and will take PM suggestions. There will likely be different themes in the arena fighting pit every week to keep the fighters guessing.  If this takes off I'll be dumping a lot of time and effort into making this a great RP experience for all the enjoy. If you have any suggestions or wish to help with this endeavor please PM me all OOC content. I'd like to keep the rest of this thread strictly RP. I hope you all are excited about watching our servers best PvPers compete for all the bragging rights! ))

I am also rather strrrrrong so I will be willing to help in defending said settlement. "

  9. I love the build Kitten, I like the idea of using the leafy blocks under water, as well the swim in entrance to the home. I described the idea as best I could with it being like an under water beavers mound but the picture was spot on for what I was hoping.

  10. I'm liking the interest being shown! I'm going to get a group together to work on lore and see who I have to track down to pitch an idea like this. Anyone that wants to be apart of the lore creation shoot me a pm and I'll start some kind of group chat after this has been up for a few more hours. I'll make sure you are added Koger. Let's keep this positive and fun, remember that's what this servers all about!

So this is more of neat thought I had for years on this server then a polished pitch. I think a water based race would be a really cool addition to the server. We have a crap not of races already but I feel the server is at a point were an amphibian race would be possible. Imagine a race that could breath under water and have perks with spears. They could live in under water domes and have little cozy under water communities with dry air filled rooms as well in there homes so they can use fires and such still. If there's enough others that would be willing to get involved with setting up the lore and all that maybe we could get it off the ground. I found I stay to busy to lead a large group these days but I would like to get the right people involved that do just so I can RP as a humble lizard :P

  12. * Hangs a post on his favorite tree

" I am looking to buy Alchemy Ingredients from a seller. I am hoping for an on going business. "

  13. * An Oak Covered Elder of the Osage Clan speaks up

" I always state that I will forever be a servant of my bothers and sisters under Malin, even if we don't always agree. I recently came to the city in hopes to offer my services to my kin once again. An argument ensued after finding out the recent news. But I am an elf of action. I would like to put that behind us and strive for a higher purpose in uniting our people once more. My brother Orlanden and I as Elders of the Osage Clan would like to offer our clans services to the military in a goal to strengthen and to protect our brothers and sisters. I will of course contact you more officially and privately on the matter but do know that there is still hope in this old Elves heart in strengthening our people and uniting them once more."

  14. * posts a sign on his tree over top of the old ones.

" I am looking for a Lapis Lazuli supplier. This will be an on going business agreement. State your bid "

                                                                                                                                                    -Bravepaw

  15. * A note is on that same old tree Brave likes to frequent.

" I have all the required materials for a stonemason to craft a Runesmithing Table. I am just in need of the expertise in the matter to construct one. If you can offer your services at a reasonable price. Please contact me with your bid on the job. "
