Not so much the words there are the average I put into posting a reply. As for your question, how does it add to role-play than just ignoring a rule already established? Granted your reply to the way things were in Aegis is acceptable to me. But honestly I think the bad-lands lore could be better if a little more thought was put into it.

  There's a no-rp killing incident on this server once a week, if not more. Now suddenly you want to make it okay for them to have their own island? Because you've come to the conclusion that the player-base is bored. The question what effort are you putting forth to preserve Elysian RP? Or is this 'test idea' of yours an effort to keep one side of the spectrum happy? While at the same time hoping-and-wishing, this 'idea' will be enough to sate the interest of everyone? Temporary map or not, you the administrators are in charge of the server, through its transitions, temp-maps, permanent servers, forums, etc. Now I know no one is going to agree with everything that the staff will say, or do. And you cannot make everyone happy while trying new things without keeping an open mind. Eventually the players will individually make their choice of what they want this server to be. The players of this server will either opt to better become writers, or they will just stay gamers. From your poll you can now see the line in the sand of what these people want to be. I hope you make the right choice. 

PvP is not just 'hurp who clicks faster' because MC mechanics only allow an entity to take damage on a once per second basis. It's great if you click 15 times per second but it does nothing.

There's a reason not everyone is the best PvPer.

If you want to dislike PvP, fine, but please at least realize that it is not all clicking and actually does involve skill. I'm very tired of seeing the clicking argument because is not true.

For me, I feel like it provides a very good way to demonstrate my character's prowess; typing is one thing but rocking someone's world is another, but at the same time I can RP fight well too.

Pft, are you kidding me? The only way you're going to be a good PVP'er is if your computer is faster than the other guys. Don't feed me this line of bull, when I know what makes a good PvP'er.

  Why don't you tap the Lore Team, drop a quick concept, develop it, make an antagonist to promote RP, get some people together. Get some baddies who for whatever reason decide to invade. Hell, why don't you have Zombified Vikings played by staff members/etc swarm Elysia and give the four nations a run for their money to hold ground. At least PVE is a step up from PvP, no V.A.'s.

Okay. This update is irrelevant to me because there's nothing worth buying. Mining is not profitable, there's no red-stone to be had, and not a diamond to be found on this island. But that's just me feel free to disagree at any time.

I like this, I'll have to look around in character for the practitioners.

This decision has been made, stop whining about it and focus on the RP side of it. If your RP is so stale and unimpressive that you can only RP extremely sexual or graphically violent situations, then you could do with a change in RP style anyway.

Now stop making demands that you've no right to. The Admin team exists to make the decisions, not you, or the community, because the community frankly does not have the ability to handle such difficult decisions. The facts laid bare before you, what we had to do or what we could have done, and still you make a public nuisance of yourself with flippant posts like this. So please, stop complaining and help us work together to improve RP rather than coming off as some self-entitled RPer who can't do anything other than what we've listed as against the rules.

As has been said in the topic leading up to this, there are alternatives to outright ruling out these types of systems. Like making it a rule to specify to ask all role-players what they're comfortable with in terms of writing, what you did is parented those of us who are under-age, and over age, when you yourselves are allowing room to grow.
