Some of you may remember me, a lot of you probably don't. I'm Lugar and I haven't really been active on this server in close to a year. With my classes ending in around a month and my time freeing up I figured now was as good a time as any to get back into a bit of RP! I'm sure a lot has changed and I'll have a lot of catching up to do, but I definitely can't wait to see some old friends and maybe make some new ones! I'll be making a new character and trying to find a place to call home, can't wait to see you all in game!

*The echoing sound of boot steps crunching snow are heard coming from the steps of Kal'Azgoth, a stout, hunched over figure is climbing the stairs*

*the figure raises a hand to his eyes, shielding them as he looks at the grand entrance way with a weary smile, he drops the gray woolen blanket from his shoulder and steps inside rolling his shoulders and raising his arms*

"I've made it 'ome!" *He shouts as he looks around. Noticing no-one Thorgar Grandaxe frowns slightly and lumbers off to find his Clan Mates and let them know of his return.*

*Balian Guivret reads over the letters on his desk when his eyes catch the notice of conquest*

"Mon Seigneur.. How very bold a move. It seems we march to battle once more! I did so miss it."

Balian Guivret sighs and scratches his head, more grayed hair falling from his head. "And so dies a great man.." he takes a deep breath and leans on his cane heavily before muttering "All hail Horen the Fifth. May his reign be long and fruitful.."

I think this would be a great idea! Shake things up a bit and show the races that they aren't alone out there!

Balian takes a step forward, his cane making a clack of wood on stone as he bows to the Emperor. Balian begins speaking in a lilting accent "Bonjour, Mon seigneur." he rises back up and smiles through his beard towards the Emperor. "As my daughter so kindly phrased it, I have returned to my family after a long.." Balian pauses for a moment searching for the word "Fête, or holiday if you will." He straightens his jacket and stifles a cough before beginning again "I simply wish to state how honored I am to once again be in your service, and should you need anything from the Gui.." visibly stops himself and clenches the fist holding his cane before starting once more "From the Valois, please do not hesitate to send for me or my very capable son Marcel." after finishing his sentence he bows politely once more and stands awaiting a response.

I like it, This way RP can be as centered or uncentered as a specific nation wants. It leaves the possibility that there could be no towns beside maybe the capital and one or two others, leading to bigger cities and suburbs!

I don't mind it, it was nice to brush up and update my Dark Elf that I haven't played since lie.. year 30 or Asulon! I've had some good fun so far making a camp with some buddies and talking about Aegis and these new lands.

I believe that the medical standpoint would best be left to the two most accomplished HE doctors/'scientists' Mithradites and Mercury.

Family History: The official name Guivret can be traced back to Balian’s Great Grandfather, Arthur Guivret. Arthur was a minor noble to a small kingdom created from the splintering of a larger Kingdom. His holdings were mainly forests, so the family made its name as hunters and woodsmen. Arthur and his wife Sebille (née Iwain) bore two sons, Avanc and Bladud. Avanc left the family’s holdings and was later found to have changed his surname to Briefbas and was living as a baker in lands far from his birth place to avoid the pressures of politics and nobility. Balian’s Grandfather Bladud became head of the house when his father died, leaving him there small lands in the forests. Through favors to the King and service in the military Bladud doubled the family’s holdings and took on a wife named Fenice (née Jren) from another minor noble family to the North. Times were good through the rest of Bladud’s reign, and through the early years of Balian’s father reign. Balian’s father was a man named Antoine and was a treacherous goat. Through an affair with a woman named Ana Ettarre, Balian gained a sister named Gwenavere who died at a young age due to fever. In favor of this new woman, Antoine had Balian’s mother, Elsa (née Argante) burned as a witch. A few years after this, around the time of Balian’s 23rd birthday, a neighboring kingdom conquered much land from the kingdom Balian lived in. This new kingdom slew many noble families, including Balian’s, to give their land to more favored Nobles. Balian escaped by pretending to be nothing more then a serf, and traveling through the forests. After 3 years of hiding Balian signed on with House Silverblade of the kingdom of Renatus as a bannerman, but upon hearing the founding of a new Duchy within the kingdom set off to Norjun to seek his luck in the small village of Ursakar. After only 2 years of ruling over Ursakar, Balian has not only found a wife, but has gained 2 children. His land holdings have increased greatly, and he has attained the rank of Duke in the Holy Oren Empire.

I'll have to throw in my support for Nppeck, I have spent the majority of the last few months dealing with Nppeck not only IC on the server, but OOC through various mediums such as Skype and TS. Nppeck is extremely mature and has always been a very serious player. Nppeck was great when we were both on the App Team, has been a great GM, and I honestly believe will make an amazing and helpful GM if given the chance!
