Hello, I played on the lotc servers for a while and now I am trying to connect from my new apartment and it keeps giving me cannot resolve hostname and when I join it says unknown host. I tried both hostnames mc.lotc.co and login.lordofthecraft.net and I even tried the IP but then it gives me an error that I have to use the domain name. Now I am sure that it is not an issue on your side because when I use teamviewer to login to the server using my PC it home it works without any problems. I already triend the openDNS thing and I did those steps 20 times and it still doesn't work. The thing is my network is managed by the college in this regio, so it has some superstrict rules in terms of doing the DNS stuff of fiddling with any settings. I also tried connecting to different mc servers and they had no problems. So it's something between the server and me that's going wrong I think... Maybe allow us to use the IP to login so it doesn't have to resolve the hostname?

Since I’m already 38years old my body is getting weaker and looking older. History I was born in a woodcutters camp, north of Renatus. My mum(Housewife) and my dad(Farmer) teached me everything they know. They wanted to make a farmer of me. Just as my dad. On a fine day(on an age of 12) when I left off to play with friends an old dwarf came to us and told us that we had to leave the town. He saw that the raiders of Hanseti were on their way, and they would raid everything they see and meet. We were still young so we ran away and went playing on another location. Like the dwarf told the raiders of Hanseti came with around 120 men to capture our camp. they murdered my parents and everyone under the age of 16 were kept and hold within their huge walls. So I grew up as a miner for a blacksmith in Hanseti. As soon as we(Me and my friends)were 16 we were allowed to leave the kingdom and become an enemy of the Realms of Hanseti or we could stay in the town and live unhappy as slaves. My friends stayed at the Kingdom but I really wanted to realize the dream of my parents, becoming a farmer. So I left, naked, I had to survive by eating apples and using leaves as clothes. I arrived at Renatus, I headed north, searching for the woodcutters camp. Once there I found my mum and dad murdered laying on the bed. I took my dad’s clothes and hoe and I buried my parents. I started reordering the farms and gathering some animals. 5years passed(21Years old). A group of young men and ladies passed my farm. I welcomed them with bread and ale. They were so thankful that they wanted to stay. We buried the bones of the deaths and we cleaned the now old looking houses, some of them were really messed up so we had to rebuild 3houses which wasn’t a problem since this was a woodcutters camp and many of the wood stayed intact. So we lived for 10years. And children were born, the camp was living again. It was time for me to live in peace in a kingdom which grants me peace. The use of OOC knowledge for IC is called Meta gaming and is looked down on because Meta-gaming makes character interaction flawed, since there is no way that the character would know of Sir bob's betrayal back when he was a young squire when they never met. Power gaming is also not accept in most communities, as it places characters to be forced upon by others. This sometimes creates OP characters who think that they can do whatever they want and become power hungry. Thus, killing any chance for the other role players to have a fair and equal chance at things. So my weakness is when anyone calls me fatty or something fat related. I also have not much knowledge about economy. Personality I am kind and defensive. I will help people out when they need me. But still I am a lone wolf. Appearence Small(but not dwarflike small). Rather fat. Long beard and brown hear. Nordic looking clothes from my hometown. History I was born in a small woodcutters town in a snow biome. That's how I got resistance to almost all cold. My mom(Housewife) and my dad(Farmer) teached me everything they know. They wanted to make a farmer of me. Just as my dad. On a fine day(on an age of 12) when I left off to play with friends an old dwarve came to us and told us that we had to leave the town. Otherwise the Black Mystics(rulers of the world at that time)would come to violance and they would destroy the town. We were still young so we ran away and went playing on another piece of land. As the dwarf predicted the Black Mystics cam with around 12 men to capture our town. He murdered my parents and everyone lower than 16year where kept and hold in their kingdom. So I grew up as a miner of the Black Mystics. As soon as we(I and my friends)hitted 16 we where allowed to leave the city and become an enemy of the Black mystics OR we could stay in the town and live unhappy as miners. My friends stayed at the Black Mystics but I really wanted to be a farmer. So I left. Naked I left the city and I had to survive by eating apples and using leaves as clothes. I arrived at my old town and I found my mum and dad murdered on the bed. I took my dads clothes and hoe and I started reordering the farms. 5years passed(21Years old) A group of young men and ladies passed my barn. I welcomed them with bread and ale. They where so thankful that they wanted to stay. We buried the bones of the death couples and we rebuilded the city. So we lived for 15years. And babys where born. It was time for me to live in peace on a small farm. I left the town once again and so I arrived in Asulon where my journey begins. Your characters ambitions: Becomming the owner of a huge farm. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?
