    Blood Magic

     

    Summarise the Lore of this magic(s):

     

    Blood magic in short is the art of manipulating Genus, a source of energy that resides inside the blood of greater souls. However there are limitations to gathering this resource, firstly genus can not be obtained from the blood of animals and as well any blood separated from a greater soul for too long will lose any source of Genus they once had. Due to this Genus can not be stored for later use. That being said, various creatures also possess more potent amounts of Genus, magic creatures for example have more potent Genus in their blood than a descendant would. In order to become a blood mage one must first be awakened to the ability by touching a blood shard. Once awakened a blood mage then gets access to learn the various boons the art provides. 

     

    The abilities in order include an art called Augmentation, which allows boosting magic up a tier or more through combining Genus with a spell of said art. Secondly being a blood mage allows you access to blood bending, the art of minorly manipulating the blood of others or yourself in various ways. Next you’re able to combine blood runes, which differ in a multitude of various shapes which form together into very specific combinations to perform rituals. Rituals can perform a lot of various things, from summoning creatures, to creating portals to other realms, to even swapping souls with other descendants. Finally a blood mage can also place runes on objects, enhancing them with various boons.

     

     Lastly Blood mages may further delve into the art by constructing marrows and wearing them, either making them a berserker or rogue based on how many Marrows they’ve created and worn. Marrows come in various shapes and each occupy a certain place on their wearer’s body, ranging from their hand, to their brain, to their heart. Being a Berserker or Rogue provides their own set of RP boons as well. The drawback to this is that by becoming either a Berserker or Rogue they will permanently lose magic slots depending on which specialization they’ve become which can never be reclaimed, even if they drop blood magic.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

             

    A Zar’ei is a tier of inferis that are either created or captured by Naztherak users. Zar’ei can feature various parts, ranging from scales to extra limbs, extra appendages, etc and they are also capable of conjuring Malflame the same as a user of Naztherak with ease. Upon being bound to their prince they are forced to obey any commands given to them by their master. They have a weakness to holy magic and Shamanism alike due to their impure nature. Lastly should a Zar’ei consume fifteen souls they can evolve into a Zar’kiel and obtain a singular dark magic, however should the Zar’ei die during this process the progress on their advancement is reset back to zero. Finally should a Zar’ei die they are forced to wait two weeks before being able to play their Zar’ei again.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

     

    Ghosts are the souls of the dead who’ve grown an attachment to the living realm and are left behind as spectral entities. There are three stages to these ghosts, the first being a haunt. Haunts are essentially copies of their former selves without pupils and unaware of their passing which causes them to usually wander the world without purpose. They can then become Revenants when they figure out they have died, usually by relising stuff is out of place in their undeath that wouldn’t be in life. Revenants also gain pupils though look almost exactly as they did as a haunt and they also gain the ability to become invisible, almost float and shift appearance. Once a Revenant has been shown absolute undeniable proof of their death they can then transition to the final stage. The final stage includes either poltergeists which react negatively to their demise or Spectres who’ve come to accept it, the former being hostile and causing harm to the descendants and the later being more peaceful and coming to accept their demise. Poltergeists can also be spotted by their strong red color, ashy appearance or jet black eyes while a Specter on the other hand can be spotted by their blue glow. Atop of this at this stage they also gain the power of low-tier telekinesis. Lastly ghosts have an extreme weakness to holy magic and gold.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:


    A Daeva or Foretaker is a shade that has devoted themselves to the shade gem and the will of Arun’Asna as a whole. While not a constant force, it is what drives a Deava’s purpose and abilities. Upon becoming a Deava the shade will have access to a “Dark form” which turns their very flesh, blood and bone itself into Amber. They are able to then mold their amber bodies as if they were manipulating amber itself, albeit with limitations such as becoming gaseous and liquidus forms as well as making themselves denser than iron. While in their dark form they are also able to withstand long lasting damage from blades and otherwise, though with extremely diluted pain. Though a Daeva can still demainifest or at the very least be incapacitated for a long time if enough force struck against them, such as a building falling on them or being exposed to a thanium bomb. Along with this the dark form has a great weakness where light is concerned. Any light that shines upon the Dark form of the Foretaker will cause it to revert back to its original descendant form, meaning if a foretaker was stabbed in the heart and then a light was shined there they’d surely perish. Other weaknesses of the dark form include aurum which can easily slice through their bodies and cause immense pain and of course holy magic. Lastly on the dark form, if a shade were to die while in it they’d demanifest into a large cloud of black smog before reforming at the Shade gem that made them.   

     

    The requirements to create a Deava aren’t an easy one either. Firstly the shade in question must be a Shade father and then secondly have a majority of the Daeva agree to have them ascend. The shade is then taken before the shade gem and a ritual is done between the parties, which then has the newly arisen Daeva’s soul kept within the shade gem that made them, becoming their phylactery so to say. Upon becoming a Daeva they’d have to go through a months recovery phase, becoming extremely ill and frail until finally going into dark form for the first time. Afterwards a few changes occur to the descendant. Firstly their bodies will lack any sort of natural life force and mana, being supplied such energies from the shade gem itself. Secondly they’d feel the endless torments of their shade becoming null and void, they are able to sleep again and do not hear the countless whispers of the shade. Instead when a shade becomes a Foretaker the personality of their parasite and the descendant themselves effectively merge together, taking a few of each’s traits. Meaning a man who loved dogs would suddenly lose his drive to interact with them, though wouldn’t go out of his way to hurt them either. The last change that occurs is that a Foretaker will be forced to help the shades and further them as a whole, willingly protecting them from any danger and ensuring the shades survival and well being as a whole. Other than this a Deava can also connect “Half formed” shades to a shade gem, disconnect other shades if need be and get prowess over their abilities slightly better than a Shade father does.

    A puppet like prosthetic arm that has a small piece of menhir embedded within its core, the menhir has been enchanted with mysticism which allows the object itself to interact with spectrals. The user of the arm will be able to physically “Touch” and grasp ahold of the ethereal much akin to how a mystic themselves would. The arm itself also has been enchanted by mental magic and cognatism to forge a mental link with it’s owner. All the user must do is think about how they want the arm to move and it’ll move accordingly.

    The arm itself can’t be used as a focal point for magic.

    The arm has been enchanted with mysticism using the menhir stone as a means to keep the enchantment active. Other than that a large gem rests in the center of the arm which bares an intricate mental magic and cognatism enchant to forge a mental link with it’s user. This mental link allows the arm to move according to it’s wielder's thoughts.

    A vile looking claymore that leaks with a faint blackish miasma along it’s metal. Upon being activated by a necromancer the sword will bare a jet black aura and seep out two necrotic tethers which prioritize the draining of nearby greenery. The life force drained by the blade is then transformed into a grand amount of basic life draining taint, enough to coat the blade like a poison and still drip upon the ground. This sludge like ichor can then be shot off the blade in an arc if swung much like paint or water would.

    The sword itself must be activated by a necromancer in order to function.

     

    The initial tethers that are formed by the blade will prioritize the draining of greenery around the necromancer to gather lifeforce to be made into taint.

     

    The taint itself bares no disease like properties akin to affliction, it remains as basic taint meant to drain the life around it. Aswell the efficiency of the taint is based upon touch drain if touching the individual and tether drain if not, touch taking 4 emotes to completely incapacitate a person and tether taking 8.

    An extremely intricate necromancy enchantment has been placed upon the sword through the combined efforts of two blood mage necromancers. When a necromancer pushes a bit of their life essence within the blade it will then activate, forming the dual tethers which then generate taint from the life force around the necromancer.

    A sword forged entirely out of solidified Amber, a corrupted mana gem rest in the base of the weaponry. As long as the weapon is physically connected to a Shade, the shade can then mold the sword itself as if they were manipulating Amber.


    Red Lines of Artifact:
     

    A shade must have physical contact with the Amber blade in order to manipulate its shape.

     

    A shade can only manipulate the shape of the sword as long as they have knowledge of how to manipulate Amber. They will be unable to change other properties of the blade such as it’s solidity, temperature, etc. Despite this however they can still change how sharp the blade is within reason; making it sharper than steel will prove rather difficult and exhaust the user.

     

    The mana gem in the sword must be recharged at least once an IRL week by a shade otherwise it’ll just flake away much like regular amber. Of which it’ll then have to be reforged by a shade.

    An intricate enchantment has been cast on the Amber in order to keep it within existence using the corrupted Mana gem as a fuel source. The mana within the gem is corrupted into amber to sustain and fuel the blade.
