one thing that interests me is just throwing everybody onto the new map with no prebuild, perhaps some ruins at most, and then seeing the power struggles while everybody tries to set up working governments again and settle themselves, particularly like that it'd probably result in diverse(if temporary) cultural identities

I like this idea, and think that it would produce a steady flow of interesting RP for everyone as teams of people go out and settle this unknown place.

I agree with the statement above. And I love Asulon, but it's not a matter of if we move to the new map, it's when. This may not happen for months, or maybe it'll be weeks. This thread is not for complaining ether, it is for constructive criticism for the new map, where the entire community has a say in what may happen.

I agree with you here, I am getting a bit tired of so many fantasy places sounding exactly the same... But without fantasy what would this server be? This world? And honesty most fantasy is based off some fact.... And as for the name I think we should break "Tradition" and do something that starts with something other than A, but will still flow off the tongue... and honestly I think we shouldn't base it off any RL language and have our own meaning for it. Asurin: (A- sir- en) No real origin, just one I made up, means "Never forgotten"

Aldaron: (AL-da- ron) A name that I can't shake the feeling that I've heard from somewhere, means "Land of secrets"

Aklran: (Ach-La-ran) Just a random name I made, means "Home of many mysteries"

Asugia: (AS- oo - ge- YA) A combination of both Asulon & Aegis, means "The final abode"

Aminia: (AIM- i - NIA) Yet another random name, meaning "Resting place"

Asduren: (As- Dur - rin) ???, meaning "Great journey"

Why? Should our land's name mean "Pool of death and stench" or something of that nature? Kidding, how about "The land of many mysteries" or "Home to many secrets"?

Edit: Both would still mean "New Hope"

Not good at putting pronouciations into words, so they may be a little off from what I imagined they'd sound like..

An idea hit me, a name for the new place and how Asulon will end... How Asulon will end; It'll start out as quite tremors and small earth quakes, due to the large amount of demons plaguing the land. Then a large crater will open up and swallow the majority of cloud temple, and the surrounding area. Then out of the crater will bubble up a bunch of lava, followed by the natural collapse of Asulon.

The name, Neoselpis, is a combination of two words, meaning "New hope" in Greek.

Not a major in Greek grammar and punctuation, so it may be wrong...
