  1. Solvi reads the letter and snorts, “What the **** is a faith duel? And from a woman I have not seen in ten years? Claiming she’s doing more for the faith than myself? Hm. If she wants to come kill a 74 year old woman, she can have at me. I’m not going to waste time better spent recruiting and sacrificing.” She crumples the paper and lights the corner on her flamebrand, “And if she is so knowledgeable of me, she should know I have not managed or stood behind my own bar in decades.” The flames lick through the paper and up to her burnt fingertips, the majority of her arthritic hands being scarred at this point, “Call a moot.” She brushes her fingers free of ash.

  2. Solvi would be the first to notice. The sun barely creeping over the horizon, rays falling across her scarred face. Her eyes open and she looks to where her husband normally rests, beside her, to find only empty furs. She would calmly stand and dress as if for any other day, despite immediately knowing that his absence means only one of two things. He has either left again, abandoned her with their children, or he is dead. Perhaps both. She dons her signature white porcelain mask, that hides her burnt features, wrinkled face, and emotion. Moving from the tavern that is their clan home, she walks up to the crumpled form that used to be Tyr, and crouches softly beside him. Her knees creak and groan, her fingers are bent and swollen with arthritis as she reaches out to grasp what was once his hand. The form crumbles away as she touches it, falling into ash, and her old voice croaks softly, “You have abandoned me twice now.” The High Keeper is wordless from then on, silent in the morning sun as she begins to carefully gather what was once her husband into a clay urn.

Thora would step out of the tavern soon after, finding her mother scooping the last of the ashes into the cold clay pot, seeming confused, “Ma?” She calls, but Solvi seems distant, far from the Ash as she looks to the soot on her hands. Tyr’s daughter would seem to grasp what was happening, having seen urns meant for the crypts before, “He’s gone, isn’t he?” She receives no response from the old woman, but had known the answer before she spoke the question regardless. She crosses her arms over her chest, face stoney, “Oh.” The woman does not seem heartbroken, having not known the man. In her mind, behind her stone face, she stretches to even remember the last interaction she had with him. He left when she was very young, left her and her mother to care for all of the children, while her older brother went off to war. Then, when he returns, he simply makes Ma more distant and removed. Thora shakes her head softly, grabbing her shepherd’s crook and moving off to tend to her musk oxen.

  3. Solvi slices her curved ceremonial blade across a wild boar’s throat, tied by brave men that went and caught the creature. As blood soaks her robes and plate, and splashes across her stark white porcelain mask, she mutters, “May the dead and dying find the Father. May the war end before many others need his guidance.”

  4. Solvi grunts, face hidden behind her porcelain mask, “I am glad the little one has returned to us. I feared for her safety.” Though her face is obscured, her voice clearly betrays the love she has for the small girl.

  5. We’ve known eachother nearly.. what, 7 years now? If you think after finally reconnecting that I’m going to lose contact with you then you have proven yourself to be the idiot I always suspected you of being. Genuinely, though, I will miss your serious RP and your meme RP and all the other bullshittery and banter. I wish I had had more time RPing and connecting with you properly.

I have to agree that the server has changed a lot since we were back in Glenwood, and I wish pretty regularly that we could go back to those days of RP where it was simple and we only had our little town in the woods. Back then we were left alone, and given a lot more freedom with our characters. But sadly things change and grow, and Thoromir is dead (lol not Lavinia tho) and this server is not what it once was. It’s sad to see you banned, when you built this community up from nearly nothing to a bustling city with regular RP and a handful of new players each and every day. They say you’re toxic, and you embraced it, and I still think you’re stupid for about 70% of the **** you say, but really you are a keystone of this community and there will be a massive hole left by you that I am not sure can properly be filled.

I hope in the wake of this that you find room to breathe in your every day life, where you didn’t have time before because of leading on mc.

(I trust Fuze will do a wonderful job if/when he leads, it’s just a hard act to follow)

ARTICLE I. ON MATTERS OF THEOLOGY

    a. A CORRECTION OF RECOGNIZED PATRONS

Through the centuries and lifetimes that the Faith has been relevant, there have been many codices and lists of paragons to the Father. The main conflict between the two most recognised codexes is the ability to properly recognize the Paragons listed within them to have been living people. The ‘old’ lists, account for the documented living list of Paragons, lifted to their status from deeds done throughout life. Meanwhile, the ‘new’ list, mainly Tyr’s codex, accounts for new Paragons that are not documented to have lived, but represent strong moral standpoints of the culture and Faith.

From this conflict of codices has come confusion. To amend this, the Keepers and myself will be writing a new version of the Codex of Paragons. This new codex will be a combination of the past works of my predecessors, and we will be looking through the history of the Faith for documented people who constitute the morals that Tyr’s Paragons represent. Along with this, we will be cutting some Patrons from the list, as they no longer suit the Faith and what we represent, and perhaps are better fitted to be lessons to learn from than ones we pray to.

ARTICLE II. ON MATTERS OF SACRED LAW

    a. THE AUTHORITY OF THE FATHERIST CLERGY

Any union that is not approved by the High Keeper or a Luminary is not sanctioned under the Faith or the Flame. This is done purely to protect our Faith and our culture from those who are not a part of it. A High Keeper has divine right to ensure the two being joined through ritual flame are true to the Faith and the Father.

    b.THE HEARTH MILITANT

In the past we, the Faith, have had Purifiers as our Hearth Militant. It has been a long while since there have been any Purifiers about, perhaps our last one being Aeyn. While we expand the Faith in a general sense, I would also like to expand the use of Purifiers once more. These Purifiers would be used as they have always been used, as a flame against the darkest of nights. Their aim will be to drive out the magic users, the dark undead creatures, and all else that would threaten the Father’s flame and the citizens of Morsgrad or any city with a Holy Hearth.

    c.CONCERNING THE SANCTITY OF ‘MARRIAGE’

Recently one of the Faith initiates has brought up a thought that has led to debate within the Keepers. Does the Cannonist ideal of ‘marriage’ fit within our Red Faith views?

After reading Rosalia’s thoughts on the topic, it brought to mind my own marriage and what it represents to me and my own husband. In the Faith, a marriage is a bond, a commitment to a partner. This is not a commitment in terms of faithfulness to one another, as multiple partners has always been a part of the culture surrounding the Faith, driven by the desire for children. Marriage, or what should be and will be from here on be called Union within the Faith, should be thought of as a promise from one to another to keep each other in the Light of the Father, and to protect each other as shield partners do. This union, which can be monogamous or not, should not be driven by pacts or power. In this case, I entirely disagree with and dismiss unions done in the name of politics and all other forms of so called ‘marriage alliances’. How are you to trust and promise yourself to someone you do not know, driven by power and politics. How is this person, who may not even be a part of the Faith, supposed to keep you within the Light of the Father, or guard you from the darkness? Why would you commit yourself to them, and why would you guard them in return? There is no faith or flame in a union of greed-driven strangers.

ARTICLE III. N MATTERS OF GUIDANCE

    a.A PRAYER GUIDE

As many of the codices of the past have pointed out, the Paragons or Patrons of the Red Faith have particular wants and desires when it comes to sacrifices and offerings. Truly, the Faith should be a following of personal growth and individual thought and prayer. In this way of thinking, most of my own prayer has been done in silence, while alone, and with great care. For example, my Paragon is Thor’ o’ myr, or The Bulwark. One of my preferred sacrifices to him is stonework and masonry work, or finely made tools. Whenever and whatever I sacrifice, it is something that I hold dear, or that will cause me pain to destroy. Many of the things I have sacrificed over the years, would have benefited my life, or are simply stunningly beautiful pieces of art made of stone. So when I am praying, alone and in deep thought, I take these beautiful things and destroy them at the shrine of Thor’ o’ myr. Not all prayer must be like this, or follow this exact ritual, of course. As I said, prayer within the Faith must suit the Paragon as well as the Fatherist, it must be thoughtful and it must be meaningful, lest you anger your Patron.

    b.FATHERIST RITUALS

Individual rituals and personal, private sacrifice should be a strong, central point of our Faith. When it comes to prayer and rituals lead by Keepers, each Keeper will have a varied way of performing the same ritual. Personally I have a preference for sacrifices, with larger rituals and prayer requiring living sacrifice. When leading or performing a living ritual sacrifice, the whole carcass should be used in the aftermath and the blood should be saved for future anointment and tributes.

This blood can be used in many smaller rituals, and even personal prayer. Should one want to use blood from a larger ritual in their own personal prayer, all they need to do is seek out a Keeper and ask.

Other rituals that are important within the Faith are things such as a birth, a death, or a war. Many of these celebrations start with prayer and sacrifice. For a birth, the child should be anointed with a drop of bull’s blood on the forehead and the parents should choose a suitable paragon to guard over the infant until they come of age and can decide upon their own. For a death, many will sacrifice an animal for a feast to celebrate the life of the individual, along with a prayer to match the paragon of the deceased, and of course burning the flesh to release the flame from the sinful flesh. And for a war, there should be prayer and sacrifice relatively regularly for the general health and wellbeing of our soldiers, and a plea for the fallen to find the Father. Of course there are many variations of these rituals, and this is simply a vague guideline to follow for my Keepers. There are also rituals for health of family, guidance to those who are lost or conflicted, a plentiful harvest, etcetera...

ARTICLE IV. ON MATTERS OF ADMINISTRATION

a.THE HIERARCHY OF THE HIGH HEARTH

High Keeper - The leader of the Fatherist Faith, guide to those wishing to learn. The Keeper of the Holy Hearth Flame, and protector of the Faith.

Luminary - A strong and loyal council to the High Keeper, guide to the laity, to the Flament, and to the Initiates, when the High Keeper is not available for comment or question.

Flament - A trusted member of the keepers, one who watches over the Hearth flame and helps protect and teach the initiates along with providing them with the proper scrolls and guidance as they are exposed to the Faith.

Initiate - A newly joined member, still learning the basics of the Faith and culture surrounding.

Marlow recalls the ill-bred and low class noble who had come to Morsgrad. ”I still can’t help but find it amusing that she became personally offended and felt attacked that we would DARE tell her that there are no bastards within Nordish culture. And then, the gall to know she is losing an argument and mention her husband finding out as an intimidation tactic, though never elaborating on who he was or why it would be relevant. To be so spineless and crude as to walk into someone else’s home and tell them how they should live their lives is for the weakest of mind and souls. It’s asinine. What a repulsive woman, to sick men upon a youth and a young woman of the Red Faith purely because she took offense to us telling her we have no bastards. Note that she was too cowardly to send the same men against Chadmyr or anyone else who was male who spoke the same. At least Eleanor embraced the culture as she moved to Morsgrad, just as I embraced Helena when I moved there. Ester is just cowardly in my eyes, but if she is of Haense then perhaps she was simply dropped on her head as a child.” She sighs as she complains to Thora.

“Of that I have no question.” Thora nods, having really no more to add to the girl’s complaint, simply agreeing in whole.

”I cannot wait til one side or the other wins and Ester is killed for playing both sides.” Marlow mutters in anger to Thora!

“Perhaps she will find herself trapped in a barn and the barn will be lit aflame.” Thora responds with a snort.

    **MC Names of all involved**

    Immahorseridda

    **Description**
<!--- Please give a short description of the issue here -->

I used two separate nametags, with two separate naming tokens to name this cat Nael. Both of the tags, when in my inventory, were correct and said they had been renamed Nael. When I used the tag on the cat, the cat was not renamed and the tag disappeared from my inventory. I did this twice, and the cat still did not appear to be named. When Mods finally answered my modreq after three days, they said they could see it but I could not, and that the cat had been named Nael Solvi Faretto which is not what I put on the tag.
    **Date of occurance**
<!--- Please try to give us as accurate a date as you can recall to the time this bug occurred →

6/28/19 (day I used the tags) , 6/30/19, 7/1/19 (two days, after relogging, I still did not see the cat named)

    **In game specifications**
<!--- Who are you, what persona were you on at the time of this bug, etc. -->

    Solvi Faretto was the persona.
    **Steps to Reproduce**

  10. Solvi would likely be told by her husband, Tyr, of the news. She wouldn’t even hear the end of her dear husband’s sentence, a dull nothing filling her ears. Her expression falls, not to one of sadness but instead to nothing. The pulse of her heart pounds in her ears, filling the void of sound. Shock is something she has rarely felt to this degree. Once it fades, after a long and arduous pause, Solvi gasps for breath and falls to the floor within their Norlandic home. She clutches at her chest as if she’d been struck, croaking, No..” She looks to Tyr, eyes pleading for him to tell her something else, anything else.

But he couldn’t, and would not lie to her. And with that, she breaks, her battered and broken heart losing another piece. Tears well and fall from her eyes freely, though she didn’t notice when they had started. She weeps, body wracked with sobs as she mourns for her lost friend, the man who introduced her and her husband, and married them before the All-Father. The man who near constantly gave her ****, who drank and passed out in her tavern on a regular basis, and nearly lit her ceiling on fire every time he came in with that damned flamebrand. The man she would have chosen to be the caretaker of her children any day of the week, should anything happen to Tyr and herself. The man she chose to be her brother and family, with his characteristic mask and attitude. A man she now mourns more than she ever did her biological brothers.

Solvi holds her children and her husband close, praying before the Hearthfire that the All-Father gives guidance to her family to see them through this hard time, and gives Aeyn rest after the dedication he has shown towards the faith. She only wishes he had seen her put on the same type of mask that he so characteristically wore.

  11. Lavinia would make tea for her daughter, not seeming to fully understand her choice in change, but not minding it. She does what she can to comfort the girl, and if this is what gives her strength and makes her smile again, brings light back to her eyes, the one-legged druid does not mind a bit.

    No

We don't want to "enjoy" this.

    we don't want it.

we have enough of these power surges that people want to continuously gain more and more power. You've already got soul trees, which were supposed to work as a new end game, and yes, they are an end game, just as liches are.

And are you ******* blind? The whole ******* server has been screaming about lore bloat.  and I don't want to have to deal with some ******* wight-werewolf-pinnochio-beautiful 7 foot tall wood elf that is literally unkillable, not because of what it is, but because of the players playing it who refuse to die, and even then, if I manage to pound a ******* anvil of gold on this ****, it'll only respawn.

So **** this ****, like make some prayers? Druidic culture that adds to the mystery, but ****. This. ****.

If you have a problem with something someone presented, that is absolutely fine, but your point would be more clear and powerful if you retained some form of civility. I'm not asking that you be over-the-top nice but at least retain some composure, this is a person you are talking to who has put a lot of work into something they genuinely think is a good idea to add to the community. Also, what Leo said, it's a post about ghosts on a minecraft server, chill.

  13. Lavinia smiles happily as she lights the hearth in her Seed's beautiful new manor. Her eyes sweep the warm, family-filled room and meets the eyes of all those housed within, "It may be cold, but the warmth of family sure keeps the frigid winds at bay, does it not?" Her eyes light up, mind full of possibilities that come along with these new lands and this beautiful new city, "Thank the Aspects for our newfound lliran, and thank the builders of this great city."

  14. Lavinia returns from her meditation for the day, moving up towards the gates of the Princedom of Fenn. As she spots the head of Damai and beside that the head of Kairn on spikes, she tips her own visage back in a full belly laugh, "Who should we fear now, Damai? The man who attacked three unarmed citizens of the Dominion with his horde of brutes for being banished with just cause? The 'Seed' with only one member? Or the terrifying Bronze Elves who don't understand the basic chemistry of bronze." She pauses, then begins to laugh again, "Bronze tarnishes, Draoi. May the Father end your corruption."
