+1 from me as well. Seeing as him and I are IRL buddies, I can vouch for him by saying he is a helpful, kind and amazing guy. Plus seeing he's been here since its founding, he knows a fair amount about the server, the staff and the community. Plus he's an Aussie so more the merrier. 

For aussies, even though its not peak time, I suggest the release should be around 8pm EST and on a weekend so at least the aussie's have a chance of joining in.

It's better than the VA Purge or the YouTube Copyright catastrophe :P

Rowan then walks in as every is introducing themselves and takes off his helmet and follows suit.

"I'm Commander Rowan Nightstalker of the UNSC. I'm a Spartan IV, the most advanced super human soldier to date. I was on the planet Requiem on a research mission with two other pelicans before one was shot down and I was pulled in. When I awoke, everyone was dead, but some weren't from the crash, others had slash and bite wounds. And speaking of my Pelican, I managed to bring some extra weaponry for anyone who knows how to handle a gun."

He then puts the extra guns and ammunition on the floor in front of him as well as some "military rations" Rowan then remembers how horrible those vitamin enriched pieces of crud actually taste like. He then continues:

"Now onto how we got here. My assumption is that the creatures that attacked us in random points throughout all of space-time and across multiple realities. For what reason I'm not sure of yet, but I know we need to be ready to defend ourselves. But hopefully we can get back to my ship and get it repaired if that's possible otherwise, we need to find out how these creatures got to us in the first place."

Hearing the Hunter's cry for help was a surprise to Rowan but as he looked up, he held back a chuckle to realise that the hunter was been defeated by technology over 500 years old. But remembering from his history class when he was a cadet for the UNSC, he remembered that the old aircraft used similar radio waves to those that are used in the present. Putting his hand up to his ear to open communications he said:

"Spitfire pilot do you copy? This is Commander Rowan Nightstalker of the United Nations Space Command. Cease fire and land your aircraft……you got a lot to catch up on."

Seeing that the battle had stopped minus the spitfire and the hunter. Rowan yelled again: 

"Alright, now that everyone's calmed down let's try and figure out where the hell we are and how we got here…." 

Then a mild gust of wind blew and Rowan could tell some of the unarmoured humans would freeze if they stayed out here too long and then continued.

​"….Everyone head into the building and try and warm up. If you know anything about medicine and healing, tend to the wounded. I'll wait out here for the pilot."

As everyone headed in, Rowan did a quick scan for Dmitri with little success. He then reopened his coms and said:

"Sergeant Petrov, this is Commander Nightstalker. I have just arrived at the structure and ended a firefight and awaiting your arrival. And hurry sir, we can't send out a rescue squad if something happens."

Rowan then cut the comms once more and headed into the structure himself.

As Rowan is making his way to the structure, he hears a loud commotion as he approaches the structure and sends out a quick com to Dmitri before he gets too close saying: 

"I'm currently at the structure and I'm picking up a large brawl around the structure. I advise against getting too close until I send out an 'All clear' com."

Rowan then pulled out his Battle Rifle and slowly approached the group to see a massive brawl between two hunters, a giant troll-like creature, a guy in a robe with a long stick and a girl with swords flying through the air. He only assumed they were stranded here too. So he raised his rifle above his head and let loose a few bursts and yelled: 

"Oi! Everyone stand down!"

I'm already heading over, see you all there :D

As Rowan scavenges the land, he manages to find some food on the other side of some low-shrubery. As he returns to the Pelican, his HUD flashes to signal an incoming transmission: 

"Sir this is Sergeant Dmitri Petrov, 7th ODST Expeditionary. What is your location?"

As he hears what Dmitri is saying, he tries to remember who he was. He knew he was an ODST, but he recognised him from somewhere else. He then demises the thought and replies:

"Sergeant, I am still at the crash site. From here I can see a structure just under 2 clicks to the North-East, I hope. I have a surplus of weapons varying from MA5B Assault Rifles to Battle Rifles for any other friendlies. Make sure that if you find someone, set their IFF to friendly if they can be trusted  I'm heading towards the structure with what I can carry. Let's hope we can find a way off this rock."

Rowan then cuts the transmission and grabs what weapons and supplies he can. However, all he could manage was one of each of the standard infantry weapons (Assault rifle, Battle Rifle, DMR and Magnum) with 2 spare clips for each and 3 frag grenades. He then  starts to make his way over at a fast pace seeing as it is open plains and he'd see something very quickly if anything was here.

Rowan Nightstalker

Location: Crashed Pelican, Unknown Planet and location

As Rowan awoke, he felt dizzy and a little uneasy from the impact and still trying to get his head around what happened in his groggy state. As he surveys the Pelican, he notices that everyone on the Pelican is dead, but not from the impact, there were bite and claw marks on a few soldiers, probably the survivors of the crash. He then scavenges the crash site and searches the immediate area for any signs of life. As night draws in, Rowan decides that to get off this rock, he'll need a way to get this pelican working again or have someone rescue him, so he decides that he'll check the coms to see if any of the other pelicans are here and survived the crash.

He puts his hand up to the right side of his helmet to activate long-range coms and says: "Hello? Is anyone out there? This is Commander Rowan Nightstalker of the UNSC, designation 3763-2905. Our Pelican has crashed with me as the only survivor, requesting assistance."

He then lowers his hand to end the transmission and goes to gather supplies to start a fire and to check to see if there's anything edible nearby.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!! And yes caps was necessary cause its THAT awesome!!!

The roar of the Pelican's engine come to life as three of the hundreds of dropships take off from the UNSC Infinity to investigate a forerunner artefact on the shield world, Requiem. Rowan stands in the cargo bay of one with two scientist and 4 UNSC Soldiers armed with an assortment of weapons varyings from DMR's to MA5B Assualt Rifles. Not long after take off, a light flicks on his helmet to signify an incoming transmission. He answers the call to receive orders from the leader of the mission and head of the Spartan IV's, Commander Palmer, located on another Pelican. Once the orders were relayed, his green acknowledgement signal blinked before he then relayed the orders to his crew.

"Alright, this is gonna be a easy in and out mission. The lead Pelican will land first and send out a scouting party to make sure we don't face any resistance. Once we get the all-clear, we'll land and begin our survey's and link-up with Infinity. The sooner this is done, the more info we can learn what we need to. Do I make mysel--"

A loud explosion is heard to the North-East of the Pelican followed by a transmission: "Meday Meday, heavy Covenant anti-air resistance. We've been hit and going down!!"

Rowan then springs into action and calls: "EVASIVE MANOEUVRES!!"

The Pelican veers left and right trying to avoid the incoming plasma bolts and Rowan takes a seat before he gets thrown out the back.

After seeing this I developed an interest in this pack and one of my char's has been writing a journal on a few encounters with the pack. Including some notes on an elder teaching a pup how to hunt.

No diamond sword? No master smithing for me :(

Maybe introduced a diamond encrusted sword that is an add-on to gold sword and adds things like Unbreaking II and Sharpness I or something? Just throwing ideas around.

Just to save us reredoing a map, y not hold off till 1.7 and then start cause otherwise the map's gonna be a mess with chunk errors in ALL the places.

Why are we making a new map so soon? It hasn't even been a year yet. Just asking.

I would have suggested the wilds island as a location seeing it freebuild so the players can setup traps and what-not and looked like it could fit this, but then I remembered that its all abandoned houses and most look fairly ugly...ughh. Anyway, this is a good idea and wouldn't mind spectating.

I think the server should remove VA's and make PVP default for a week, so how it goes, I think most people will have a blast after the initial wave of edgy assassins

I think they just need to be loosened otherwise we are gonna have criminals left right and center because they can. I think all the app needs is a basic bio of the char and maybe something to prove they are gonna be at least a decent rp villian. Plus then the staff will know who's a villain and who's not. That's really the main purpose of a VA, just to say tell the staff that you are now a villain and can do things within the rules set by the staff.
