  1. ...looking forward to them adding to the colour of our city, as the “Vekon District” might just become a thing, should they claim a few more houses...

Christion de Silvarois wonders where he applies for a district, owning almost a dozen adjacent plots to house his family

The Grandmaster could be seen in a fury heard all the way from Ard Krallackh.

    -snip-

Christion who both lives next to Ard Krallackh and takes the 'heard from Ard Krallackh' very literally, pens a note in an attempt to calm the tensions,

    "Jack,

Monsieur Lane has been good to me, and I count him as a friend. I implore you, do understand that the city must be careful with it's properties, and treads a fine line between keeping order and acceding to the needs of half a dozen powerful interests in the Kingdom. I myself have witnessed Maer Lane's piety, having a business meeting stopped for a moment of prayer.

If you are in dire need of a ecclesiastical property in the city, I would be willing to finance the cost of an alternate campus on the main square, perhaps across from the Town Hall.

Regards, Christion". Nodding in satisfaction, he notes that Maer Lane has enough of an administrative burden without a fatwah

  2. (( I don't think it should be marked on the map. The Halflings have basically been squatting without contest. Aron said that he had no problems with it, not that he was giving them the land. They are just wrongly assuming they got a land grant no strings attached, when in fact it was more along the lines of "Well, I won't forcibly evict you, I like halfling rp". The area discussed was in fact much smaller than the shown blue area, and Aron's generosity is being somehow morphed into half of Salvus being supposedly given away. ))

  3. The Silver Maiden tavern, located in Abresi's main square, is hosting a contest of trivia and knowledge! The questions will be based on Anthos, Asulon, and Aegis history. Participants will be organized into teams, and will be rewarded for choosing the correct answer on questions. At the end, the winning team will be given a prize of minas to split among it's members.

(( The Event will occur on a Febuary 1st, a Saturday, at 3:00PM EST and 8:00PM GMT ))

  4. Signs hang near the major trading markets of Anthos.

"I am interested in purchasing wheat in large bulk orders. The minimum order size is 1 double chest of wheat. I can purchase as much as you have available, with the caveat that I expect a marked down cost for the scale of the transaction."

"Price is negotiable, starting at 0.1 mina per wheat, or 0.3 per loaf of bread"

If you are interested, please send a bird to Christion de Silvarois (Semperosa).

  5. I apologize if I'm incorrect as I joined in Asulon and I'm hazy on the earliest lore, but I remember seeing somewhere that the races were all 'corrupted' from a single race (humans?) by demons. If that's the case then Kha would certainly have breasts as they didn't directly evolve into their species, and teats wouldn't have developed yet if at all.

  6. Christion de Silvarois submits a business proposal to the Stewards Office, responding point-by-point to the Lord Steward's request for business information.

    Staff Projections -

Our management of the tavern would involve a drastic increase in hiring. Five to ten full-time workers in varying positions will be taken on, with additional increases planned based on need. With a commission based salary, the tavern can afford to quickly bring on employees relative to it's sales, without waiting for profit from a wholesale transaction.

    Varying Activity of Customers -

Should the activity of customers vary immensely, we will hire employees to be present at peak times and depend on them to pursue commissions.

    Varying Activity of Workers -

To respond to one of the most pressing problems facing the tavern, we will take many approaches. The tavern will provide lodgings to it's workers on request, so that they are located near their area of employment. The employee salary will be commission-based, earning half (or more) of the profit from a sold good. The management will hire a large amount of full-time workers, erring on the side of too many  rather than allowing patrons to go unserved. As I, Christion, live in Abresi at the moment, activity will not be a problem and I will be on-site contributing to the tavern's revival.

To further offset worker issues, management of the tavern will be slowly decentralized. Several clearly-ranked managers will be appointed to take care of day-to-day issues. This decentralization will allow the rest of the employees to be employed part-time, so that they can also pursue other occupations and widening the recruitment pool for the tavern.

    Tavern Events -

We will plan many events to be hosted in the tavern ourselves, and allow citizens to schedule their own events for a small fee. In addition to deals and price-drops at the bartender's discretion, celebrations will be held on all recognized holidays. To promote festivity, members of certain groups such as the Kingdom's military will eat and drink at a reduced price, for their service. We will provide a submission box by the bar, allowing any citizen to host an event in the tavern catered by it's staff. Using this system we expect that the demand for novel celebrations in the city will be met, adding a vibrancy to daily life in Abresi.

    Inventory Stock -

The tavern will be stocked using methods that benefit local Abresi businesses while maintaining continuity. A portion of the basic commodity goods such as bread will be grown on lands owned by the tavern directly, in order to ensure a minimum available product. The rest will be sourced from Abresi vendors at wholesale prices, allowing the entire city to contribute to the renewal of the Captured Kha.

    Inventory Stability -

Our approach to ensuring inventory stability will be two-fold. Firstly, we will vastly overstock goods purchased from vendors in off-site warehouses. These warehouses will be located in the city of Abresi, to ensure that taxes from all facets of the business go to the municipal government of the city. Secondly, we will create a wholesale food drop-off area in the back of the tavern. This will allow citizens of the city to sell directly to the tavern, and provide diverse goods created by many different people to the customers of the tavern.

    Structural Changes -

The exterior of the tavern will remain unchanged. However, we will seek permits to make moderate changes to the interior in order to further our vision for the tavern. While we will keep the cozy culture of the first floor, we will set up furniture and pillars in a way that allows for openness and privacy at the same time.

A note is attached to the end of the formal business proposal.

"I hope that the Steward's office chooses a resident of the city to contribute to it's revival rather than a foreigner who will constantly drain minas from Abresi. By supporting my proposal, you ensure that profits from the tavern will be returned to Abresi through taxes and patronage of local business. It is my goal to make this tavern into the centerpiece of the city's life, both by creating a class of locally-sourced vendors and providing a wholesome center for the population to congregate."

    -Christion de Silvarois, applicant.

  7. Christion de Silvarois pens a letter to the Steward's Office of Abresi,

"I am interested in taking over management of the Captured Kha, if the tavern is still for sale. I would manage it well and hire staff enough to keep it open for a majority of the time. Additionally, the tavern would have many events and celebrations, as well as discounts on holidays. Should the position still be available, please find me in Abresi to discuss pricing and logistics."
