- A man is walking down a street in fine silks and exotic velvet, running up to him you see two goblins and a orc about to corner him in a dark alley by the tavern. You hear a yelp and rush in to find him dead, the three running down the alley. *Looks over the dead man to see the large gash on his stomach.*Glances up to see two goblins and a orc with appears to be a dagger.*Pursues the group and shouts for help.

Note: I was denied about 6 days ago for the reasons of color coding/spacing errors, an incorrect definition of Power-Emoting, slightly villainous actions in my open answer questions, and a incorrect definition of the difference between RPG and RP. Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Yes, due to extensive reading and advanced classes in English/Writing I believe myself to have an excellent understanding of the English language.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: My interests vary from writing, reading fantasy and science fiction novels, etc. While I enjoy playing video games such as Minecraft, you can easily find me flying down a zip line, shooting rifles at a range, or just chilling with friends. I proudly carry a creative mind, full of ideas and inspiration ready to burst from my brain. Thus one of the many reasons I love Roleplaying.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: While there is no set time I will be on minecraft, my schedule allows for a good amount of free time, giving me a chance to roleplay actively. On a good week I presume I'll be able to be on for 48 hours.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Having played different roleplay games such as Legend of Zelda, Elder Scrolls, and participated in a minecraft server focused on roleplay, my definition of roleplay can be explained as such; the ability to slip into the life of another, living out their life following his/her personality traits. Basically responding to different situations based off of the previously created traits and experiences that have happened throughout the character's lifespan.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: As mentioned previously, I've played multiple video games designed as RPG's, but have found their storylines, though enjoyable, are always set to go only one way. I think playing on a minecraft server where you can choose your character's traits, personality, and build, is an amazing thing that I would love to participate in. While you can control many things, something even more appealing to me is what you CAN'T control, such as being ambushed by a group of bandits. In regular RPG's, most of the plot is predictable, at LoTC, literally anything can happen, whether you're prepared for it or not, bringing it major appeal to me.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-Gaming is the usage of information not given to you via interaction in roleplay. For example; a Skype call where a friend calls for help and you use that information to find and assistant him, using the nametag above a player's name to find where they are would be another example. Similarly, looking at the name beside the chat of a player and using that to identify them would be a large demonstration of meta-gaming.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is: Power-Emoting is basically when you don't give the other player a chance to respond to your emotes. It can also be described as using attributes that are physically/mentally impossible for your character, or just reality in general. An example of Power-Emoting is; Sapphire appears behind the man, shooting an arrow through his brain, then sweeping her dagger in a circle and killing all 10 of her adversaries. There's obvious problems with this emote, making it obvious that there's obvious problems with Power-Emoting.

What do you expect this server will be like?: After taking the time to study the forums and wiki for LoTC, I find it to be an amazing server with the unique quality of letting imagination flow freely. I believe playing on LoTC would be an unpredictable roleplay experience that few games possess, if any. The realism of it is extremely compelling, the possibilities endless, making my mind run wild with thoughts of all the great times and hardships that my character will face, even though she hasn't even set foot in Asulon. I think it will be overflowing with player interaction, epic struggles, etc. Overall the ultimate roleplay experience. AKA: Bucket loads of fun!

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've previously participated in two very different minecraft servers, the first a regular SMP server named Wraith Haven, leaving a couple months later after the repetitive activities and general boredom I found that came from it. My next step was to a server called Demolition Gaming, with an odd mix of roleplay and SMP in it. After months of work I climbed up the ladder to become Administrator, but was forced to leave not long after, due to the server being disbanded by our owner. It upsets me slightly that after all my hard work and devotion to DG it was shut down, but am grateful, for it sparked a very real interest to dive farther into the epic adventures of roleplay, thus bringing me to LoTC.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Alriya was bred a curious girl, ever-inspired by her thirst for knowledge relating to nature and the land of Asulon. As she grew, her interest continued to grow and mature, driving her to explore the forest around her, spending more and more days on her own, meditating as she took in the life of the land. Alriya can constantly be found carrying her journal with her, elegant passages and drawings of all the beings of the forest within.

The more time she stayed in her home forest, the more she realized that there was more to nature than the small expanse of land she resided in. Driven once again by her ambition to learn more, she set off into the wilds of Asulon, sleeping under the stars and living off what she carried. Drinking fresh stream water and harvesting edible plants, occasionally hunting with her bow. On one of her rare visits to cities, she was viciously beaten by bandits and robbed of the few possessions she owned.

The tan skinned woman found herself at the Cloud Temple Sanctuary, having been healed by the monks, Alriya stands in the middle of the sanctuary, looking at the 4 paths to take. Should she return to her home and follow the road to the elven kingdoms, or deepen her exploration into nature? But now her life has taken another turn, for personalities are shaped from your experience. Another drive has been awakened inside of her, the drive to protect. Protect those who cannot protect themselves. A hard road stands in front of her, if she decides to take it, as she looks her new challenge in the eye, she wholeheartedly embraces it. She walks surefootedly down the road, her past of comfort and luxury behind her, a life full of hardships and twists and turns ahead.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Though her deep love for nature remains a large part of her personality, Alriya is now devoted to help others and defend the weak and innocent. Though her intentions are noble, Alriya's skills are weak and flawed, and will require immediate improvement if she is to continue on in her journey.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Alriya has the gift of a quick and intelligent mind, with a deep interest to learn more about the world around her. Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? As Alriya walks steadfastly down the recently paved road, she catches sight of two large men, clad in finely crafted, iron armor, taunting a shriveling halfling. Alriya's lips immediately curl back in an inaudible snarl, her hand drifting to her hunting bow. Stops abruptly, overcoming the primitive first instinct to dive into battle. Alriya quickly analyzes the men, realizing they not only outnumber her, but could beat her easily. She watches a few moments more, ripped out of her thoughts as the first man throws a heavy right hook to the halfling's temple, immediately knocking him to the ground. As the halfling lies limply on the cobblestone street, the second man scrounges inside his pockets.

Having made up her mind, Alriya calls out in a high pitched voice,"Hey boys! How do you think the local guards would like you beating a defenseless halfling and robbing him?"

The second armed bully glances at his companion, mumbling something to him. The first man nods, taking a step forward towards Alriya, his arms spread out to the side in an unthreatening position. Advancing slowly forward, he says innocently, “Now Miss, I advise you shut your trap and go scurry off to your tree, for we don't enjoy beating ladies, but will if we have to."

Alriya responds quickly, taunting him,"You couldn't beat me if you had a thousand of your armed friends with you!" Upon completing her challenging sentence, Alriya spins around and sprints down the road, the first armed man on her heels as he calls out for assistance to his companion. Her lithe form runs down the road, purposely slowing herself as to keep herself in view of the two men, but far enough away so they cannot harm her. Rounding a bend in the road, she arrives not two hundred meters from the gates of a city, and immediately begins to scream for help, rousing the guards from the gatehouse. Upon seeing this, the two armed bullies turn and run back down the road, the guards of the city chasing after them.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Alirya looks over the wares,spotting many used swords and poor quality arrows."I think I am good for now"Alirya turns around and tries to walk away."Er wait,wait!"the merchant yells at Alirya"I have more items than what is shown.Alirya pauses for a moment before turning back around"I told you I am not interested".Alirya speedily walks through a crowd of people.The merchant curses under his breath.

How would your character respond?: Alriya surveys the hut, running a finger over one of the tabletops, pulling it up to see it completely covered in dust and dirt. After calling out and receiving no answer, she shrugs and looks around the house for any other items. When finding none she leaves, knowing iron bars and a sword are not anything she will be using anytime soon and will just slow her down.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Alriya folds her arms over her chest, rubbing her upper arms furiously as she tries to warm herself. Stammers weakly, emitting mist from her mouth into the frosty air,"D..D..Doo... y..you....hhh..have.... a..." Before finishing a man runs off inside a tent, holding a wool blanket as he exits and throwing it over Alriya's shoulders. Alriya wraps it tighter around her body, her chattering teeth and shivering body slowly heating up. Once able to speak properly she thanks them, offering to pay them for some food and a warm cloak. After giving her request, a man retrieves the items from the tent, passing them to her in a small rucksack. As Alriya reaches for her bag of coin, the man stops her with a rushed sentence,"Nay, for free, ma'am." Alriya looks up at the man with wide eyes, her cheeks flushed as she curtsies deeply. She murmurs quietly,"I give you my deepest thanks, may the gods watch over your kind heart." She curtsies one last time before, walking back into the depths of the forest, donning the cloak around her slim frame.

How does your character act on this information?: Alriya looks at the large party of armed men, seeing the heavily built men clad in heavy armor. Alriya walks up to the officer and says courteously,"I'm afraid I won't be much help to you in an organized skirmish, but would you like me to attempt to gather more men? You will most likely need them." After receiving an answer in the affirmative, Alriya curtsies and walks deeper into the town, looking for able bodied men.
