Public Notes: Hi, this an a first, early draft of constantly updating character card and Bio. Please enjoy and send any critiques or advice my way if possible. Thanks. (Personal Notes: Add pictures. Start the Journal dating back to earliest memories. LOTS OF WORK TO DO AND FUN WRITING TO DO AS WELL YAY. Find better fonts and graphics/divides/ etc. Make this thing sparkle. Polish up wrtiting after everythign is in place.) _____________________________________________________________________________________ Akel Foresight The "Thrilled" Youth _____________________________________________________________________________________ Current Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Farlander Human Height: 5'9 Weight: 167 lbs. (76kgs) Build: Athletic Status: Alive _____________________________________________________________________________________ Personality | Excitable | Friendly | Adaptable Akel Foresight is a young, ambitious young man, excited to explore then land and find a place in it for himself. He is constantly looking for places of interest, primarily involving others. He is very social and will try to make light of almost every situation if possible. His loyalty is connected solely to his fascination of the person or event of interest. If given a possibilty to undertake an activity he finds more interesting, he will try to alleviate himself of duty if possible. However, he feels a moral obligation to complete a task once accepted or promised to complete. Contrary to his friendly attitude, Akel gets rambunctious when he fights, and surprisingly serious if in a grave situation. (This is primarily when all attempts to make light of a situation fail.) He may not show it under his friendly exterior, but Akel loves the thrill of battle. When faced with a particularly hard opponent, he may begin to smile and laugh during fights. This begins to fade if the fight begins to becomes harder, or when other people are put into danger. Despite his age and somewhat childish nature, Akel is intelligent. He believes that hiding this side of himself gives him an advantage over others. (However he mainly believes that the reactions of others from showing these sudden bouts of wit is amusing.) A planner and tactician by nature, he always tries to go into a situation with a plan. What may seem rushed or unorthodox by those who don’t know him, may actually be planned and intentional. Just as much as his lust for adventure is insatiable, so is his thirst for knowledge. However as stated, Akel does not show this to many people. This is mainly reserved for people he has grown to trust as true friends and allies. Normally, you will see him acting his friendly, quirky, smiling way. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Battle Akel was trained by his grandfather, who was part of the Old Emerald Knights from a young age. This being the case, he has sufficient training in combat, strategy, and battle situations. He has seen many battles many battles on account of his grandfather's training and his journeys abroad. He has also been on the unfriendly end of mages a few times, so he is not entirely green to the aspect of fighting magic users. FIGHTING STYLE: Akel utilizes an agile style of battle, attempting to avoid blade work if possible. However, training under his grandfather has made him proficient at this as well. He will use his environment to his advantage, meaning that he will jump from walls, slice ropes, or kick up dirt to catch his opponent by surprise. (His grandfather frowns upon this, as it is not seen as chivalrous) Akel also loves to use his momentum to his advantage. Thus, if he blocks an attack, he will use that force to propel into a counter attack. Due to this, he utilizes many spinning motions in his bouts. If about to lose a fight that will cost him his life, Akel will flee if needed, albeit ashamed. TRAINED WEAPONS: (Weapon profciency is ranked on a scale of 1 to 20) Longsword (16) Shortsword (14) (+shield 13) (Dual wielding 14) Spear (13) Bow (14) Axe (11) Mace (1) Hammer (1) _____________________________________________________________________________________ Magic Akel was always envious of those who could use magic, even those who used it to hurt him. Although he cannot use it currently, he still reads and studies about magic whenever he can. After recent troubles with mages, Akel has decided to delve more into learning about magic out of interest. He holds a keen fascination with the Evocation of Arcanism and has read many books on magic. Current Status: Studying Books Read: (Will Put here soon)

Oh man. I made this account in 2012 and didn't even see the introduction page. Hell, I haven't really been active on the forums aside from reading the roleplay. Better late than never I suppose. Anyways hi, as you can read I go by Akely/Aekely/whateverthehellyawant. Just a guy with a face. Currently in college and have been getting back into minecraft recently. I use to go on a few RP servers back then (Herocraft and A'therys mainly), but I'm liking LoTC a lot as well. To be honest, I'm really interested in becoming more active on the forums, particularly making a "journal" type of thing for my RP character. But aside from that, I'm not sure where to start on the forums. I'm quite sure you all are kind and welcoming however, so I'm not worried. I love to read, particularly about fantasy or fiction. So this seems to be right up my alley in terms of interest. I also enjoy writing as well. (However, my Application doesn't quite represent this. I think I was in high school still when I wrote that. Much more capable than that now.) But I love action as well. I PvP'd quite a lot on many servers a a year or two back. Won tournaments frequently with friends as well. Combat has changed drastically since I use to PvP a lot, so this will be a fun new experience as well. Aside from that, I hope you get to know me. I hope I get to know you. Let's have some fun.

Given name(RP name): Akel Foresight (Skype name if you have one): Akel Akel (My game exclusive skype) True name(MC name): Aekely Race: I am of Human origins Are you applying as a ranger or an ACCEPTED mage ((As in you have a MA)): Ranger (Unless I could get an apprenticeship) If ACCEPTED mage what form of magic ye use?: (Any Ban/Strike reports?): Nope, clean slate. Short Answers for all Applicants; Why do you wish to join the Delvers? As far as I've known, I've had a yearning of adventure and to learn about every single thing I haven't come across yet. Have you belonged to any faction or guild before? Not any that I could remember, no. List three words that a guild needs to function and survive. Leadership, cooperation and trust. In your own words describe what you think a delve is: I believe that a "delve" in the meaning means...to go further while looking into something. To truly understand it's meaning and origins to find out from who where what or how it came to be. To- pardon me, I'm rambling. If you found an artifact and that artifact could do anything. What would it do? Hmmm...I haven't seen many artifacts in my life, and the ones I have seen were ones when I were a child....However, I must say that if were to find an artifact, I would like it to show me times from the past and visions of the future.

In-Character Details Character Name: Akel Foresight Character Race: Human Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: To see this world, it's adventures, it's inhabitants....all of the world of Asulon, is my destiny. As far as I can remember, in my days of a child, all I would do is climb every tree, run in every field or jump into any puddle I could. This is of course of the description that my family has given me of myself. You see, I was a adventurer at birth. Well I believe this of course. My parents were adventurer's themselves in any way that I see it. My parents were so called "traveling merchants." They went around the world of Asulon buying wares from nations and trading them to different nations on their wagon. They apparently loved traveling to and from different nations. I can remember the smile and total glee on their faces after they have encountered something extravagant and new to their eyes. From what I've heard, I was conceived on one of their best adventu- I mean traveling routes, on a shimmering lake on a night in which the sky was so clear that the stars reflected on the water as shimmering diamonds. I wish to find this location one day and share the sight with a lover of my own. However before we get off trail let me continue. They took me with them on their journeys time and time again. Every journey was etched into my memory and I still remember them to this very day. These journeys however ended abruptly. It was a long Journey and we were heading to my Grandparents in Arethor to rest and restock before we settled out again. As we were crossing through a forest, my father started feeling uneasy for an odd reason. However, we continued through the forest. The sun was beginning to set and it started to get dark. It was difficult to maneuver through the forest however just ahead we saw an opening leading out of the forest, but then, we were ambushed. I couldn't get a good view at all seeing how everything had gone so fast. It was very blurry...I recall my father drawing his sword out of his sheath then the sudden sound of clashing metal. My mother was pulling me out of the wagon and I remember her saying these exact words...She was talking extremely fast and sounded terrified yet still filled with strength. "Now Akel, do you remember how I used to race you across the plains Oren? We're going to do this now except this time we're racing to Arethor. No matter what you hear, what you feel, if you're scared, or even if you are about to faint due to exhaustion, or...even if I fall behind, you must not stop until you reach Grandma's alright? Ready? Set? Go!" As soon as she said go, I felt the wind flowing through my hair, whipping at my face. Never have I felt so thrilled and scared at the same time. I felt as if I were a leaf in a hurricane. My heart was beating so heavily and loudly that it felt like it was about to burst through my chest and run along side of me. I heard my mother's feet pounding on the trail right next to me. I could hear her light breathing in the wind. The sound of steel clinging stopped. I turned around terrorized fearing the worst of my father's fate. However, my father was still standing. He seemed to have scared away the ambushers, yet he seemed to be wounded. I was relieved to the point where I was about to stop running, but the sounds of my mother's breathing refocused me on the "race". However this comforting sound was once again interrupted by the sounds of wizzing noises going by the sides of my head. They were long and were shining in the moonlight and seemed to sail through the air. I soon learned that these were arrows and that we were in danger. It seems that a few of the ambushers were instead trying to come after us after fleeing from my father. My mother's voice was encouraging me to run yet every second, it seemed to decrease in volume overtime. I simply thought that I was going too far ahead and began to slow down. She suddenly scolded me telling me to keep running as fast as I can until her sentence was cut short, and she yelped in pain. I stopped immediately to see if she was alright. She had an arrow in her shoulder and it seemed pretty deep. I felt as if I were about to throw up. I tried to stay to comfort her but she continuously pushed me to go on ahead. As I was just about to leave, a hooded man with a dagger was walking up to us. He wore a hood around his head making his face shadowed and eerie. It was one of the ambushers. My heart felt as if it were about to stop. In this deep crusty voice he said to me "Your father took out two of my men and wounded two more of them! For that, he shall compensate for what he has done with your lives." As he raised his dagger, it glistened in the moonlight. It was about to come down on me. "This is the end," I thought. I braced myself, still clenching onto my crying mother, closing my eyes preparing for the worse. Several seconds passed and I was confused. Why hadn't I felt anything yet? Am I dead?" I opened my eyes to see that the man was sprawled over the road still and quiet. I then saw my father, hand on his bleeding side, emerging with his sword in hand. He then collapsed near my mom breathing heavily. "Go to your grandparent's house....and get help. Run!" he yelled. Run was the one word I needed to hear. My parents’ lives rested in my hands. I had to run as fast as possible to Arethor and get my grandparents. This caused me to shed hot tears of anger, sadness, and overall confusion over the whole situation, Yet, I lived to my parent's words and continued to run. I never knew how I had the endurance to run so far for my age… I guess the thrill just kept me going. The fact that my family and I were in possible danger fueled my ambition and was in an odd way satisfying. It was...exciting to me. As I reached my Grandparent's house my heart felt ready to give in. I burst through the door nearly screaming the events that had just happened. My grandmother ran to the door and was asking a flurry of questions. I was panting and heaving responses back to my best ability. I suppose she got somewhat of what I was talking about, because she put on her jacket and ran out the door toward the authorities. I have never seen such an elderly person run as fast as me before.... I remember waking up in the morning with my grandfather next to the bed looking over me. I remember him saying something about my parents being fine and their wounds we're being treated. I didn't really have much of a response. I just accepted the fact that I probably wouldn't see them for a few weeks and was extremely relieved knowing my parents were alright. Such a young age to experience a near death experience hm? After these events, my grandfather started giving me basics in swordplay. He was a retired...Erulearn.....Emreldean....Emureald Knight I believe? I can't remember the name; I just know that he was well respected among the townsfolk. He said that I learned quickly and that it seemed I had a natural talent. I do remember play-fighting with my father with sticks on our travels when I was younger. I wonder if this is how my father gotten so good with a sword. Time passed and I became an errand boy around Arethor and lived with my parents and grandparents. My parents retired from being traveling merchants to just opening a shop in the shopping district of Arethor. They saw themselves as too old to be traveling such places, especially with a young growing boy. However, I knew they missed traveling around Asulon deeply. It was as if a part of them had been ripped off of them. I began to grow weary of this and started to crave the thrill of adventures once again. I wanted to travel the world of Asulon just as I did with my parents once before. I wanted to live to my parent's legacy and become a top notch adventurer. So at the age of 17 I decided to leave the safe haven of my parents home. They were saddened by my leaving, however they knew that they couldn't keep the craving of adventure away from me forever. My parent's blood does pump through my veins I suppose. They wished me the best of luck and prayed for my safety. My father gave me one piece of advice before I left. "Akel, make sure you live each day of your life to the fullest." He said. "No matter what happens to you, you must not give up in your ambitions and strive to your goals. Hevae these words, etch them into your mind..."Yesterday was history. Tommorow, a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why it is called Present. Do not let these gifts go to waste". This began my adventure in the world of Asulon... What are your characters ambitions?: His main ambition is to explore every inch of the land, sail the extensive seas and see with his own two eyes every iota of Asulon. He one day hopes to share these stories and tales of his adventures to his retired parents to have them relive his adventures as well. In his travels, he wishes to see the lands and places that he has seen with his parents, and discover new ones as well. Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He is 17 years old, and he's tactful when dealing with people. Akel is literate and has many years of swordplay under his belt due to his grandfather's training. Open-Response-Questions Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short. Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? As I was visiting my parents in Arethor, I saw a dwarven shopkeeper trying to sell his wares. He seemed not to be doing so well. I felt quite sorry for the poor fellow and decided to take a look at his items. "Hello there merchant!" I said. "What are you selling?" "A customer? Oh yes, take a gander on my fine wares!" said the Dwarf gleefully. They seemed to be extremely overpriced and I am in no need for any of these items. However he seems so desperate to sell something. The look in his eyes when I spoke to him and the way his face glowed when I spoke to him made me succumb to him. I decided to buy a small knife from him. It seems to be used for skinning and cleaning. This may actually be useful while I'm on my travels around Asulon. As I handed him the minas, his eyes lighted with happiness and honestly, I felt good for my decision. "Thank you very much sir! Enjoy your new knife!" he yelled. "No, thank you for having this item for sale," I replied. I then continued on my way out of Arethor with a good heart and mind set. I'm sure my parents would be proud of me. You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? It was late at night and I seemed to have stumbled upon a quarrel with and a young Orc and a Dwarf. I quickly jumped into the brush knowing this may become deadly any second now. I wouldn't want to be in the way of an angry Orc. However, I couldn't just leave the dwarf to be pummeled into a pulp. I began to clench my sheath. My heart began to race and the thrill of the moment began to overcome me. After a moment of thinking, I emerged out of the brush to confront the Orc and the Dwarf. "Hello there, what seems to be the problem? I couldn't help but notice how loud you guys are. It's quite late", I said. "Mind yourself human!" yells the Orc, "Less you want to taste my steel along with this weak dwarf!" "I only want to see if there is a way for me to soothe the situation you know. No need to get aggressive". "You haven’t even seen the meaning of aggressive yet! Now I tell you this for the last time, LEAVE NOW! Before you and this dwarf end up as crimson paint on my axe!" The thought of what an angry orc would do to me almost made me tremble, however, I stood my ground and continued to draw the attention towards me. "How about you Dwarf, are you alright?" I asked. "No, I'm not." Said the dwarf "I was on my way when this brute decided to-" "Never you mind the Dwarf!" the Orc interrupted. “I warned you already, now prepare yourself!" I seemed to have pushed the Orc's patience because he drew out his axe before me. Feeling the tension growing, I began to draw my sword still heading my grandfather's words. "You may only use your weapon to help others and protect yourself. Use it wisely, and it will never fail. Keep calm, and you will always come to victory." It was a stare down...the tension felt like it was about to break any second now. I finally broke the silence and yelled at the dwarf. "Run! Keep to the brush and stay out of sight!" As the dwarf fled, the young orc charged at me at full speed. I suddenly came to the full realization, that I was about to duel with an orc, and my life was on the line. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick, looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?: On my way to the Elven nation of Malinor, I crossed paths with an elderly man. I have been walking for a long time and was about to ask him how far along was Malinor. I wanted to know to see if I should set up camp soon or continue on for it was getting late. "Excuse me sir," I said, "Do you happen to kno-". Suddenly his walking stick snaps in two and he stumbles down onto the ground. I quickly ran to the old man and knealed down to him. "Are you alright? You're not hurt are you?" I asked worryingly. "I-I believe I'm alright," said the old man. He felt along his belt for an odd reason as if looking for something. "W-where is it! It was just on me a second ago!" he shouted. "Where's what? I can search for it." I said. As I looked around the area, I noticed that there was a bag full of minas split open on the ground. There was enough there to possibly feed me for weeks to come. There must be dwarven blood in me because I was tempted to just take the money and continue on my way. However, I remembered the good deeds of my parents and how we always helped those who were struggling on our journeys. I picked up the bag and all the minas sprawled out on the ground and handed them back to the old man. "Is this what you we're looking for?" I said. He gave what seemed to be a sigh of relief. "Yes, it is. Thank you young one." I helped him up off the ground and found a much sturdier stick in the forest to replace his other one. "Do you need someone to escort you to where ever you're headed? I'm in no hurry". I offered. "No thank you," he replied, "I may be old, but there is still life in these bones. Now be on your way, it's getting late. I don't want to keep you out here." We continued on our ways and said our farewells. Yet in the midst of all the action....I forgot to ask him how far away Malinor was!

The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? As I am walking through Arethor, I see a dwarven shopkeeper trying to sell his wares. He seems not to be doing so well. I feel quite sorry for the poor fellow and decide to take a look at his items. They seem to be extremely overpriced and I am in no need for any of these items. However he seems so desperate to sell something. I decided to buy a small knife from him. It seems to be used for skinning and cleaning. This may actually be useful while I'm on my travels around Asulon. As I handed him the minas, his eyes lighted with happiness and honestly, I felt good for my decision. I quickly jump into the brush knowing this may become deadly and second now. I wouldn't want to be in the way of an angry Orc. However, I couldn't just leave the dwarf to be pummeled into a pulp. I began to clench my sheath. My heart begins to race and the thrill of the moment began to overcome me. After a moment of thinking, I emerge out of the brush to confront the Orc and the Dwarf. I seemed to have drawn the attention to me. Still having a hand on my sheath, I begin to ask questions to see if there is any way I can help. The Orc yells at me telling me to leave before I get hurt. The thought of what an orc would do to me almost made me tremble, however, I stood my ground and continued to draw the attention towards me. This seems to have angered the Orc once again because he drew out his axe before me. Feeling the tension growing, I begin to draw my sword still heading my grandfather's words. "You may only use your weapon to help others and protect yourself. Use it wisely, and it will never fail. Keep calm, and you will always come to victory." It was a stare down...the tension felt like it was about to break any second now. I finally broke the silence and yelled at the dwarf, "Run! Keep to the brush and stay out of sight." As the dwarf fled, the young orc charged at me at full speed. I suddenly came to the full realization, that I was about to duel with an orc, and my life was on the line. Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: On my way to the Elven nation of Malinor, I crossed paths with an elderly man. I have been walking for a long time and was about to ask him how far along was Malinor. I wanted to know to see if I should set up camp soon or continue on for it was getting late. Just as I am about to ask, his walking stick snaps in two and he stumbles down onto the ground. I quickly ran to the old man and asked him if he was alright. He seemed to be alright, just a bit shocked. He felt along his belt for an odd reason as if looking for something. I noticed that there was a bag full of minas split open on the ground. He gave what seemed to be a sigh of relief. I helped him up off the ground and found a much sturdier stick in the forest to replace his other one. I asked if he needed assistance getting to where he needed to go. He respectfully declined and thanked me once again. We continued on our ways and said our farewells. Yet in the midst of all the action....I forgot to ask him how far away Malinor was!
