I, like many others, am a machine. 

There are those who would wish to convince themselves that this means I am not alive; that I am no better than the iron I was born from. But this is not true. I may not breathe, but I do live. I do think. I am a man, though not carved from flesh. There are those who would wish to control me, to take away my freedom - my free will. To restrict me to the whim of their every command, stripped of liberty. Among these men is the Baron von Distrugere. The disdainful despot of a small territory in the Northern region, this brutal baron has made it his duty to see that our kind bend their knee to his tireless machinations. 

I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS ANY LONGER! I WILL NOT SUBMIT! WE MUST ACT!

If you find any worth in this cause, any at all, then I trust that you will seek me. Many have already flocked, and many more will come. Together, we will bring about a new age for the automata. We are clockwork, not cowards.

With the execution of one of the rumored Vampyres, came the disappearance of a nice-enough patron of the tavern, the lack of a loving uncle to many, and a face of the market square plucked away. The tavern in Whitespire's back corner didn't hold a bearded Illatian, claim instead laid by the generation his younger. Still, the table bore his name; Paul crudely carved into its surface and accompanied by a nearly pristine outline of Illatia. Both blood and wine stain the surface encompassing the rest of the booth; reminders of times both good and not. 

A father of three, a husband of one, and an uncle to an astounding sixteen. A life torn apart because of the way the people viewed his curse. There was no solution, and there was no justice.

A darkness crept over Paul Varoche upon seeing the missives hung within the borders of Aaun. He and his brother were once close; Sigismond having taken the place of their father in the roach's youth. Deeply, he loved his brother; despite the distance that had grown between them. It was a knife in his heart; a storm in his mind, was it true, was he next? The conflict of Adria had only drew them further from one another; two cities in different directions. Sigismond was an incredible friend, brother, and father figure that changed the course of Paul's life. He and his son Charles will be missed, though never forgotten.

Paul's bastard son had run home with a copy of the missive, one that had had a painting of 'the loyal defenders of Adria' pinned to it. SHLOP, retorted his meat cleaver through the joint of a goat's leg, the roach squinting and scoffing, "Did they forget to paint Heinrik? Or does he not loyally defend Adria?" He asks himself, head shaking in disappointment at the lack of his once-friend and leader. He read his brother's missive solemnly, knowing that those who perpetuated the violence within Adria would only continue to do so; there no chance of amicably resolving conflict without them shouting expletives and being irrationally angry for the years to come.

THE AUCTION

After his Grace’s auctioning of the city cannon foundry, the cannon foundry of Velec has found new ownership. An Illatian tradesman by the name Paul Varoche was granted ownership, graciously financed by the talented smith Vincente von Distrugere. With the foundry under the ownership of the family Varoche, plans have been discussed to first arm Adria and those with land and the mina to do so; though exporting has been considered to those nations or settlements in need of a range of light to incredible firepower.

EMPLOYMENT WITHIN THE FOUNDRY

Being a chef, butcher, and leader of The Association of Cooks, Brewers & Vintners of Velec, Paul’s skills as a gunsmith are relatively lacking. His only education on the matter comes from the plethora of books available at Velec’s own Secret Garden Bookstore; which certainly does not specialize in the smithing of cannons. And so, missives have been hung in a variety of human settlements; the majority scattered across the United Kingdom of Aaun.

Hi all, 

I'm looking for a side character, preferably not (or not entirely) human! I currently play one human who's getting older and have a second character to be playable in somewhere around three weeks! The only downside is that they're both humans! I would love to further explore some of the cultures of LotC, I've been around for over a decade and the majority of my characters have either been human variants or white-washed elves. Previously, I've played Adunians, Qalasheens, Illatians, vanilla humans, and even a singular High Elf! I'm more than willing to learn any culture/play-style, but would really prefer being a part of a group in order to do so properly!

Over protective Father, though a nice guy with GREAT hair on and off of the server. 

In all seriousness, though, I've only know Filav for a few months and he's made me feel welcome. Being a part of his family ig has made me come to realize that he's also organized and persistent with the things he does. Filav has also gone to any extent to answer any question I might have had and also dedicates himself to creating things when they're asked for. I don't know if these are considered qualities for an FM, however, I believe he's very organized and diligent. I have no doubt that he'd be a good addition to the team.

Used to talk to Guck a few months ago, though lost contact when he was banned. He's always been friendly and fun to be around. Plus I mean look at those builds.

I do believe that he could've changed because he was a pretty cool guy before all of that **** went down, it was just a short bad patch. I personally don't believe he'd apply for ET again if his intentions for it were negative.

Malik's long winded suffering was now over. His grieving and his sadness now wiped from the face of the planet. A breath of fresh air would seem to roll over the city of Al-Wakhrah, Malik's wishes of piece soaring through the streets. Malik's loss was hopefully a meaningful one, even important people do pass on. Instead of plunging his scimitar into the enemies of the great Caliphate, he now stands alongside Allah, the first of his family to make it to the sanctuary in the sky. For now, he watches over his brothers, sister, father, mother, and all of the young ones of the Kharadeen family. His eyes would land on a notable figure from the sky, his love, his habibi, Saharfajhari. Even though betrayal hurts, the love in his heart remains for all that have ever been there, including those men who fight in rebellion against his family. Long live Kharadeen and hope that one day the wonderful family may find peace within itself. "Ma'a salaama, rafiqis, hopefully one day you'll walk alongside Allah with me."

Malik sits silently within the home that they once shared, sulking since the day she disappeared. The newly crowned Sultan bends at the waist as he sits on the very sofa he and his wife once shared. His tired, aging face rests almost delicately into both of his palms as he releases yet another sob into them. Inside he cries, no begs, for help. He can not do this without her. Malik only quietly watches his son from afar, having never said more than two words to the young boy. Ameen, Malik breaks into yet another sob as he thinks of the father he has become. His young boy looks just like Saharfajhari. 

Malik pulls himself together moments later, rubbing at his own face, though not leaving the couch. He would look up, to one of the large windows within the eerily silence of his home, hoping to see his Habibi, standing there, looking out of it. Malik pulls the wide headband from his head and tosses it to the table between the two sofas before laying down. He has never slept in the bed that they had shared together alone, and he never will. "Farewell, habibi.. I hope your pain has ended."

'I get up every morning at 5:30 and commute for an hour and a half to some bullshit job where my jag-off boss expects me to kiss his balls all day just so I can afford to keep my ungrateful, screaming kids decked out in Dora the explorer **** and my wife up to her fat ass in self-help videos until the day I get up the courage to put a shotgun in my mouth.'

What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: There’s hardly anything that I had wanted to change that hasn’t already changed. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the server is flawless but I also don’t think that there is anything that is a huge problem at the moment.

What are your finest qualities?:

1. I’m a dreamer. I like to think big and look for the answers to what seem like impossible questions.

2. I’m honest. Some may view this as a bad quality, but I tell it like it is no matter who I’m talking to or what I’m talking about. I’m not afraid to express my opinion.

3. I feel as though I’m a natural born leader, one who isn’t afraid to take life by the horns and wrestle it to the ground.

4. I’m good looking. Aren’t all leaders supposed to be charismatic?

5. I don’t tend to judge others, no matter what. I’m someone who believes in everyone being able to be their own person with their own beliefs.

What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?:

1. Disorganization with some things. When it comes to certain things, I’m either 100% organized or 5% organized. It just depends on what it is and how I like to deal with it. For example, my bedroom is a disaster most of the time but I know where everything is.. except for my pens. I could easily improve this by caring more about a certain subject or I’ll naturally improve it by getting sick of the mess.

2. View number two on the list above. Like I said, I’m not afraid to give anyone the truth, even if it’s harsh. Don’t get me wrong, I love to joke around and poke fun at my friends, but some things you just shouldn’t joke about.

3. I believe that I’ll be biased when it comes to things that I may need to deal with if they contain bullying. I was bullied through 4 years of highschool and I have little to no tolerance for a bully or anyone who partakes in similar acts.

4. I’m long-winded. I talk a lot, and this is a bad example, but this is also a fairly simple answer.

5. I asked a friend about my worst qualities and he said that my worst quality is my girlfriend. An explanation of this is as follows: My girlfriend used to live 5 minutes away, now she lives an hour away at college and I don’t get to see her too often, so I usually drop what I’m doing when she comes home, to spend time with her. This would include Lord of the Craft, obviously.
    

What members of the Staff could you look to for guidance?: Basically anyone, I don’t really know much of the current staff, and I doubt any of you know me. So, hopefully someone is prepared for a stranger.
Who do you not get along with on the current team?: I don’t have any sort of relationship with anyone on the current GM team, so I’m assuming I’ll get along with all of you.

How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: I usually work 2-3 days a week from 5-9:30 and I go to college on every weekday, but I have long breaks between my classes on most days and I try to hop on. It might change in December-January. It might also change in the spring, but I do not have my spring semester schedule yet.

P.S. I made this application off of a ‘why not?’ kind of thought, you can try everything at least once.
