  1. "Apologies for the misinterpretation of the word.

I have yet to have a discussion with anyone, considering the current state of affairs, I was advised that it is most unwise to speak with the other contenders for the crown.

No, I do not want full authority. I believe you are misinterpreting what I wrote as I misinterpreted the word 'Grand' but I do not hold it against you. I was simply explaining that the Thane's still hold the power to veto my decisions, regardless of how powerful I may seem to be. I am always, and shall always be, accountable to both the council and the populace.

Yes, 75% or more of the populace for removal which is less than what it is now. Currently four of the five thanes must vote for it, which is 80% and I am just moving it towards the populace, instead of the Thanes.

Decreasing their power, does not remove them completely.

No, I do not want to give myself supreme and complete authority. These were ideas and aims that I believed the populace would want, nothing for my personal gain. I am a little upset that responses are involving insults and attempting to belittle me, but I cannot be surprised as the suggestions I have put up there do seem quite rash and extreme.

A tyrant is not someone with the power, but someone who uses the power tyrannically. Having the power, does not mean that the person with said power is a tyrant. That being said, I do appreciate the feedback and am now taking steps as to change my Manifesto.

I truly appreciate all the passion you have put into your questions, and the scrutiny that you've put this under. In the end, it will assist me and in turn, the Kingdom.

    Thank you."

  2. "I'll have a nice long conversation with them, get their stand points and their reasons. I have no secret promise to no one, as secrets will be found out and will not help the kingdom in the long run.

I never said remove their power, I said to lessen their power.

Again, I never said to remove their power but the plan would be to return to a state where the King was a King. The Thane's remain able to veto a decision, but returning the Grand King... To, well a King again would be nice."

  3. Grunmin stands behind a made podium which was situated in the square for his small speech. Luckily for him, there were a gathering a dwarfs for him to speak to.

"Fellow Dwarf, I've come here to say a couple words before the election comes to a close. I am not here to beg, or grovel for your vote, nor am I hear to shame other Dwarf in the pursuit of bettering my position. I'm here but to ask that you all vote for the one who you truly believe will lead the Grand Kingdom towards better and grander things."

Grunmin takes a small break, looking over the faces of those staring up at him. Some with hints of admiration, others with hints of heated emotions.

    "May Yemekar guide you all."

Grunmin stands off of the podium, and walks back to his clan hall.

  4. The following is a written version of Grunmin Starbreaker's manifesto.

    • The "Articles of Urguan" being put under the scope as to be changed appropriately concerning and regarding the citizens of the kingdom as well as the Thane's power, and the King's power.

    • Increasing the power that the King has, as well as decreasing the power that a Thane has. Returning back to a day of which the kingdom was much more fruitful and active.

    • Thane's hold their seat of Thaneship for no longer than two stone months, in which the clan is to vote in another member as Thane.

    • The King can only be removed at a 75% or more vote, amongst the populace.

    • Mandatory Thane's meetings every seven stone days, all of which are open forum. (The mandatory meetings being open forum, called meetings may be private depending on the matter at hand.)

    • The tax system also being put under the scope for changes that fit both the earnings and the population of the kingdom.

    • Work being put in order for the much needed unification of the Dwarven people.

    • Kal'Agnar's architecture being contemplated for a change, as to please the populace.

    • Bringing the Bathmordikin's teachings, ideals and respects back into the daily lives of all Dwarfs.

    • Upon election, there will be an immediate open forum for the populace to raise concerns and these concerns will be the first of many, which shall be attended to.

I, Grunmin Starbreaker to solemnly swear to the Brathmordakin, my kin and the entire populace, that if elected I shall lead you the Kingdom towards a never-ending Diamond-Age!

    Signed, Grunmin Starbreaker.

I would like to note, on an OOC level, yes I am Australian but I do online college courses and am more than willing to change my sleeping pattern so that I can easily be online for the populace!

  5. Grunmin sits amongst his clansmen, all talking amongst eachother and sharing platefuls of fish, mugs full of ale and the room filled with the warmth of the lit hearth. Grunmin takes a long draw at his pipe, thinking things over as he allows the smoke to leave his lips.

  6. Grunmin takes a stand, clearing his throat and his usual happy face, donned upon him.

"Aye w'uld loik t'ah 'ave a few words if'n ye let me."

He lets out, not expecting approval or disapproval, he continues as if permission given.

"Ah 'ave onleh been a T'ane for such a short toim, bu' aye nae t'ink dat remov'n Onar was t'eh roight decision at t'eh toim of discussion. Aye als'ah believe d'at onleh t'eh clan fathah o' t'eh Ireh'arts, 'n t'eh king, 'ave a'torit'eh 'igh enuff t'eh remove a T'ane."

Grunmin's cheery expression, goes into a solemn look.

    "'E represents 'is clan, it nae be o' no concern o' otheh clans 'hoo t'eh T'ane of t'eh Ireh'arts be. Ah'd take d'is more seriously if'n anothah Ireh'art was lead'n t'eh rally."

He adjusts his clothes, only to return to his cheery expression once more.

"M'ah opinion 'as been said. Ah 'ope ye t'ink t'ings ovah before act'n upon t'ings d'at may not be able to be revers'd"

As he finishes his sentence, Grunmin makes his way off but remains close enough to hear the responses and other people's opinions.

  7. Concerning the Timber Mill

If you were unaware, we have a Timber Mill located through the Kazradin Foothills, and over the bridge which is next to the mask of Dungrimm.

    I would appreciate that when you use the mill please adhere to the following;

    1. Always replant.

    2. Always remove all remnants of the tree.

    3. Always treat the mill with respect.

This is all I ask, not as a Thane but as a fellow Dwarf.

    Thanks for reading.

    - Thane Grunmin Starbreaker

  8. 1. Are the Tunnelsmashers an active clan still?

    2. Are the Irongrinders an active clan still?

    3. I can't find the clergy thread, is it still active?

    4. How do you become part of the Lord's council?

    5. What groups are there to join?

The underlining thing is, I want to become someone important, willing to climb my way up but these questions are something I'd like answered please.

EDIT: Ignore those two questions, the last three are the important ones now!
