Ive been in and out of java for about 1 year now...if that.

Most of the learning I did was for the spigot/bukkit side of things, it wasn't until I realised I needed to learn Java along side and not just know "this does this" but not know why.

So in the recent months ive been improving just my basic java skills with video tutorials and some apps on my phone. Im still learning each day but realistically im never going to have 'Cracked' Java as there is always more to learn.

What is your availability:

I can be on for a few hours a day (on weekdays) except for thursdays when I have police cadets. On the weekends I can spend upwards of 4 hours a day online. Sometimes I  have hockey games late in the day but they last no more than 1-2 hours. I have exams coming up but once they have finished my activity will go through the roof.

Tell us an issue you currently experience on the server:

An issue that has been persistent throughout my time on LOTC is the long response time on modreq’s and lack of GMT GM’s. I also feel there is somewhat of a barrier between the GM’s and the rest of the community, I hope to break down those barriers and try to get more interaction between mods and players.

How do you feel individual GMs should present themselves?:

As GM’s are pretty much the face of the admin community they should always keep their behavior level to one which they would expect from other players, maintaining a professional profile at all times. They should also treat each player with respect and never turn down the opportunity to help somebody.

How do you feel the GM team collectively should present itself?:

As a whole the GM team should be respective and professional both on the forums and in game, if there is “beef ” between two GM’s it should not interfere with their working standard. All the GM’s should follow their specific rules and not do anything that would give the GM team a bad reputation. The GM’s are the guys and girls who people go too in need, if the GM’s are perceived as bad people will stop asking for help, this could reduce the server's activity which would have a knock on effect to the standard of the server. No-one wants that.

What is your relationship with the members of the current GM Team?:

I don't really know the current GM team and don't have any reason to be against anyone in it. Even if I did have disputes with people in the GM team it wouldn't affect my ability to work with or around them.

What are your finest and worst traits?:

Finest:

• I'm a sociable person and am not afraid to talk to new people.

• I will always help people whenever I can and to the best of my ability .

• I would never turn a coals shoulder to a new person and I am always about to listen.

• I am very patient and very rarely get angry, in stressful situations I can keep a calm and professional.

• I work well in groups and can also take the lead role if needed

• I'm direct and firm with what I say and get right to the point of the situation(some might class this as bad but it depends on how you look at it)

• I am mature and can work hard but also know how to have some fun

• I can sometimes be forgetful. But sooner or later I remember.

Tell us about your time on Lord of the Craft:

I've been a member of LOTC for a while now and throughout my time the server and its community has always provided a good source of fun. I joined back in Athera and started off as a Human in the city of Petrus (the best city so far).My brother and cousin who both played on the server at the time showed me around and helped me get onto my feet, within a few days I'd been pulled into the Hounds and started my training. Each day I met more and more people making some good friends. Then the wars started between Horen and Oren. After the great deal of war role play and not being able to move without seeing a fight or causing one, I then retired Gavin (my human) and decided I would give the dwarves a try. This was the birth of Tholi, when I first joined the dwarves, they were in a bad state, activity was rather low and it seemed a bit dull. But slowly over time activity picked up and the role play was great, nothing better than a bunch of small drunk guys. This was where I started getting into smithing and mining, being rp’ly thought how to smith and joining  mining guilds. After a while my dwarf moved out and started to run the smith in Werdenburg, it was frowned upon to leave the dwarven capital but I had close relations in werdenberg. This was when I decided to open a shop with a friend, business started off slow but with my increasing smithing and mining skill and his farming and lumber jack skills we soon started selling vast amounts, after the map change we decided to set up a small compound for our company, we looked around to see who was the cheapest and landed ourselves just next to the dwarven  capital. The orders we were getting started to become too much for just us two, so we decided to set up some small shacks and hire some people, we met many great people and made some great friendships. We started to outgrow our small compound but unfortunately the dwarves could offer us no more land so we had to pack up shop and move, we then found ourselves behind the city of Felson with a fair bit of land. By this point we were making a good amount of money so me and Diddyski decided to relaxes a bit and let the company run itself, we took up roles in the Felson administration, Diddyski became head steward and short after I became mayor we got the city back to a good standard and decided out jobs were done, for real this time, so we set up a small manor by the sea and lived their until map change, I took a small break after the map changed and decided to visit the real world for a while, after I had enough of that I came back to Lotc and now just sorta get on with life in courland.

What parts of the server are you most interested in?:

I like to watch how the development of the server builds up over time and seeing all the different variations of plugins coming in and out. However I also just like the main roleplay aspect, the thought of people getting immersed and into character for hours upon end is great, knowing that something good is always going on. Yes sometimes the community may have disputes but at the end of the day everyone enjoys themselves and disputes are sorted.

Other than yourself, who of the current applicants would you like to see on the GM Team?:

When Wrynn and Aerial were mods they did a great job and it would be great to see them back working and helping people out.

Dear great people of Felsen, I Tholi Roger am here to prove to you that I will be the best choice for mayor if you wish your fine city prevail. Now over the past couple of mayors this great city has started to crumble back to its former state, the taxes are not getting collected thus brining no revenue into the city. How are you as citizens supposed to get lower taxes and better homes if the city has no money to provide such things? If I get elected I will assure a sufficient flow of money is brought back into the city, I will make Felsen the great trading hub it can be. Great changes will be made to all C class houses and every house in Felsen will be B class or higher, don't panic and think this will mean price changes, if you own a C class house you will get your house renovated for free.If I get elected the only price changes that will happen will be A class houses sold for the price of B class houses and B class houses sold for the price of C class houses. This will ensure that you get decent quality houses for decent prices.

As some of you may know, if someone fails to pay their taxes for a certain amount of time they will be evicted and their goods will be seized. However once the goods have been seized all they do is clutter up the city storage, I want to introduce an new way to free the storage up and give people the chance to get low price items, I will do this by auctioning all seized goods at the end of each elven week. Anyone will be able to come along and bid but fear not, if you still want to place bids but could not make the auctions every unsold item will be posted and left on the city notice board ((Put on a forum post)).

In my second term of mayor if I was to be elected I will address the fact that the outside of Felsen’s main gate can be considered an eyesore, I will revamp and revitalise the buildings and nature around the countryside, creating a nicer more inviting farming village surrounding the path ahead of the city.

I will also introduce the civilian council, this will be a select group of citizens that have weekly meetings with the mayor and head steward to discuss any concerns or ideas about the city, there will be benefits for council members as they will have lowered taxes and a say towards changes in or around the city. Having this council will provide a way for the city to be developed in the eyes of the people who live in it.

As you may have seen the Felsen guard has started to thrive recently, this is due to the great productivity of the leadership. However they are massively under geared, I will guarantee the guard force get the gear and supplies they not only need but what they deserve. This will be accomplished by deals with smiths and miners to produce the goods we need.

If I get elected there will be drastic changes to the old palace as it will be home to the banks and auctions and most likely the city council's meeting room so we can centralise all of the things to do with city admin.I intend to gut the inside of the palace and have a total remodel.

Mithril Goods was set up by our forefathers, Gilbert Mithril and his brother Beckett Longchin. When they started the company they only intended to supply the odd smith and town, but over time more and more people heard of the prices. Yes I have been banned before, twice. One was for griefing on the old map, but I was unaware you could grief in the wilds so I thought it could do no harm.The second time I was banned was for using X-ray while mining, this was about 4 months ago(I was banned for three months).

How much time a week can you dedicate to Forum Moderation?:

On week days I can be on for about 1-2 hours a day from about 4-6. The only weekday I will not be able to get on if Thursday as I have police cadets from 6-9, I might be able to pop on before I go. On week end I will most likely be ale to get on for about 4-5 hours a day unless I have hockey.

Why should you be a Forum Moderator?:

I believe I should be a Forum Moderator as I can be active quite alot and don't mind if people message me, I also believe I should become a forum mod as I am on the forum everyday and know my way round the forum well.When I have nothing to do I just browse the forum and check out the new status's and posts.
