  1. Spoiler

Guy de Savoie read the missive, a look of disbelief and frustration crossing his face. He let out a sigh of exasperation and rubbed the back of his neck, feeling the weight of the false accusations against him. "It's not like they're saying. I gave back the one mina I took. And Via attacked me first, I was just defending myself. And that commoner, he started it. And an assassin?! That's just ridiculous! I didn't mean any harm; I was just having fun!" The little Guy's voice was filled with resentment as he spoke. He balled up the missive in his hand and tossed it onto the dirt path at his feet. He then stomped out of the city, each step filled with anger as he made his way out of Karosgrad.

As Sir 'Wings' von Hahn reads this dossier, he raises an eyebrow as he sees himself being blamed for a murder he did not commit. He continues to read it with a furrowed brow, his face growing dark with anger. "I stand ready to face any accusations thrown my way. The truth will always triumph in the end.." He crumples the dossier in his hand, his hazel-hues blazing with enmity.

  4. Spoiler

Sir 'Wings' von Draco is almost instantly surrounded by a gaggle of Ferrymen, their weapons drawn and ready to attack. He stands tall, longsword at the ready as he prepares to defend himself. But just as the brigands are about to strike, a figure appears from the shadows.. It's a Disgruntled Savoyard, sporting the Ashford Sun on his tabard, and wielding a mighty battle-axe! With a fierce battle cry, "BLOOD FOR ASHFORD!" the Savoyard charges into the fray, his battle-axe flashing in the sunlight that licked at them from between the pillars of the entryway. 'Wings' is caught off guard, but he quickly joins the Savoyard in the fight. Together, they make quick work of the two brigands before them, their sword and axe flashing in a deadly dance. But in the heat of battle, Sir 'Wings' von Draco is unceremoniously hit from behind and he falls to the ground, unconscious. When he wakes up, he finds himself on the floor of the interior of Castle Moere. His head is pounding, and his vision is blurred, but he can make out the familiar shapes of the castle's stone walls. He tries to sit up, but a wave of dizziness washes over him, and he falls back to the ground. As his vision clears, he catches a glimpse of the perished Sir Arthur de Lyons, the Knight Paramount, lying on a nearby bier. Wings is filled with a sense of loss and regret; he wishes he had the chance to serve under Sir Arthur de Lyons longer. "Blood for Arthur.." he muttered silently to himself..

  5. Spoiler

Sir 'Wings' von Draco finds himself standing alone beside the River Petra, his fists clenched in anger after hearing the news of Sir Brandt Berhal's untimely departure. The Ashford sun sets behind him, casting a warm orange glow over the flowing water. He throws his sword to the ground, its blade embedding into the soft earth. He rips off his gauntlets, throwing them into the river. He pounds his chest akin to an ape, as if trying to rid himself of the pain that's consuming him. The River Petra flows on, calm and unruffled by Wings' outburst. But the warrior's heart is a tempest, a storm of grief, anger and frustration. He sinks to his knees, tears streaming down his face as he sobs uncontrollably. "Blood for Brandt.. Blood for Arthur.." he uttered. 'Wings' then slowly regains his composure at the mention of his fallen brothers, wiping the tears from his face as he stands up. He takes a deep breath and looks out over the river, his eyes hardening instantaneously. He picks up his sword and replaces it in its sheath, the metallic sound ringing out in the silence. He takes another deep breath, and with a new resolve, he starts to make his way back to Vafleur. He knows that there is a greater purpose that needs to be served, and the Ferrymen are knocking at their gates..

What circumstances led to this ban?

It was late at night, me and my buddies were hanging out in a discord voice call and joking around with one another. The joke eventually led onto the server. Part of the joke was that Dantory and I had started a cult for our love of Renilde I. After a while, Exogens led us to his house to show us (we hadn't seen his house), Exogens made an emote where Arygon's character appeared as Renilde performing a Marilyn Monroe pose. I faded to black with Arygon's character, and emoted that the bed squeaked three times. These are the circumstances that lead to my ban.
To avoid these circumstances, I promise to think of the actions I type in the chat before I enter them onto the server. Nothing akin to this belongs in Lord of the Craft and certainly goes against the community's expectations and standards. I'd like to take responsibility and apologize for the actions I've done and the borderline harassment I've caused.

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

I agree with the reasoning of the ban. The roleplay I did was certainly inappropriate, and I deserved the punishment I received. The roleplay I did has a negative influence and doesn't belong on the server.
After further consideration and talking to some friends who were uninvolved with the situation, I've come to the realization that the borderline harassment charge was more than deserved. Even if Tilly didn't feel personally victimized by the situation, I still believe that the roleplay I participated in had the potential to severely hurt her. While this wasn't my intent, I feel incredibly sorry for all I did. Considering this, I agree with all aspects of the ban.

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

I've been playing Lord of the Craft since 2015 and I've practically grown up on the server. While I've had my ups and downs throughout my time playing, I want to prove to the community that I am capable of upholding the pillars of Lord of the Craft's high standard of roleplay, while also having an enjoyable time with friends. I had so many plans for my current character, Wings, and I want to return to the server to continue developing his story.

    Attach other relevant information.

I have no other relevant information to add, other than to apologize once more. I never meant any harm with the roleplay, but that's no excuse. I understand if my prior appeal came off as unapologetic, I may have worded it wrong. I have learned an important lesson in what the expectations are within this community, and what is considered acceptable behavior on the server. Nothing like this will ever happen again.

What circumstances led to this ban?

It was toward the tail end of the month of November when the roleplay occurred. Dantory and I had just gotten our good Finnish friend Arygon to return to the server, after a few years long hiatus. It was about 2:00 A.M for me and Dantory. Arygon and Exogens (my European brethren) had just woken up, and we all decided to roleplay together. We were out of it, and Dantory and I had just formed the Cult of Renilde (an obvious joke, albeit an inappropriate one). What happened first was that Dantory and I proposed that Exogens' character join the Cult, in which he agreed. Afterward, Exo joined Dantory, Arygon and I in VC, and he brought us to his humble abode. There, we now get to the circumstances of the ban. Exo illusioned Arygon, making him appear as the Archduchess Renilde, performing some sort of Marilyn Monroe pose. I thought this was a joke, so I decided to fade to black with Arygon's character while he was the Archduchess. I emoted that the bed squeaked approximately three times. All the roleplay was done in quiet, (behind the walls of Exo's house), and there were maybe a little more than ten people online. At the time, it never crossed my mind how inappropriate the roleplay might have been, or the potential harm that I could've caused. Three days after the roleplay, we were all investigation banned, and two days after that, we were banned for a month. (Arygon excluded).
To avoid similar circumstances such as these, I can get off the server at a reasonable hour. Next time, I promise to put more thought into my roleplay, and consider whether or not my emote's appropriate for the server before I enter it into the chat. All in all, I've learned an important lesson in what the community's expectations are, and what acceptable behavior is on the server.

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

I agree with the reasoning of the ban. The roleplay I did was certainly inappropriate, and I deserved the punishment I received. The roleplay I did has a negative influence and doesn't belong on the server.
I disagree with how the ban was handled. After I came to the conclusion as to why we were banned, ItDontMatta told me it'd probably be a one-two week ban for obvious meme roleplay. I'm not surprised that rather than being banned for meme roleplay, we were banned for inappropriate roleplay. I am, however, surprised that we additionally got banned for borderline harassment. I don't understand why we got borderline harassment tacked onto the reasoning, when Tilly herself (Renilde) discussed it with us and said she didn't feel harassed whatsoever. Ultimately, I feel like the length of the ban was unjustified.

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

What motivates me to return to Lord of the Craft is to roleplay with my buddies again. I had plans for my character that I'd like to continue with, moving forward.

  8. 'Wings' von Draco grumbled in response after his beloved, Aviana von Draco, read the missive of Adrian's candidacy to him- he could not read himself, "That damned Four-Chins.." he muttered, spatting a glob of discolored phlegm at his feet in trepidation. "A vote for 'Wings' is a vote for prosperity and the future accomplishment of the Commonwealth of Petra!" he then declared, waving a clenched fist in the air!

[!] Letters are heaved onto the streets of Vafleur from an unfamiliar individual mounted atop a bedraggled horse, spurring his heels into the flank of the creature and galloping off before caught. The parchment scattered throughout the roadways, pocketed by curious folk, eventually making their way to all the realms of men. Overweight avian erupting from the embellished architecture of their cities, observed documents enveloped about their legs. The peasantry of the many kingdoms and fiefdoms exchanging pleasantries, the news soon being common knowledge to one and all! The missive was beautifully written, with a great emphasis on their quality of penmanship; it read:

Attention populace of the Commonwealth of Petra, too many in our community are left out of the story of progress. We've seen many of our people come roaring back with a fierce Petran pride, but others are still very distant from that prosperity. Under the benelovence of 'Wings' von Draco, we will have the capacity to shape the future of Vafleur. We have the capacity to be the greatest city in Almaris. We've made a lot of progress as a community, that progress invites new challenges and opportunities. Vafleur is a city that has never shied away from doing big things and taking on difficult problems. And under the leadership of 'Wings' von Draco, that is one thing that won't change. Alongside each of our fellow Petrans, we will dig into the work together, and together we'll build a stronger, more prosperous city around the shared vision of our common purpose. A vote for 'Wings' is a vote for prosperity and the future accomplishment of the Commonwealth of Petra.

  11. The specter had just materialized before the Sons' eyes whilst they stood shoulder to shoulder in line, Commander Headband at the head of the dais.  Taken aghast, Wings who was in the middle of the formation clasped the shaft of his newly obtained Petran Slayersteel Halberd tightly, the chanting of his fellow brothers-in-arms filling his ears and filling his soul with unrelenting Petran pride.
"Make kill of ghost. Make kill of ghost. Make kill of ghost."

They did not, in fact, make kill of the ghost. It phased through them and promptly floated off into the great unknown. They suffered to Lambert's disciplinary action; he was not pleased with the Sons' combative reaction toward the phantom-Duncan. It bothered them none. They were Sons. They were badass.

  12. As a child, Alec Barwick's family scrabbled out a meager living from his father's wages as a guardsman to the local lord. It was not an easy existence, and he was too poor to get much an education. Although he did learn how to defend himself on the streets, with or without a weapon in hand. As a boy growing out of childhood, Alec took to the streets, doing whatever he must to survive. Begging, thieving, and working for local gangs to earn his bread. He lived day to day in the dangerous world, always one step ahead of the law and those who wished him ill.

Somewhere along the way Alec had become a man, and the whole world seemed to change around him. Alec had his eyes on a Courlandic woman who he found irresistible. She worked as the court physician for Duke Stannis, and she was of agreeable breeding. Neither Alec, nor the woman, were of noble stock. Her name was Althea Fournier, and she was ripe for the taking - or so he thought. When he enlisted in the Courlandic Guard, he learned how to deal out hard knocks, and how to take them, too. He was instructed in his obligation to Lord Stannis, Duke of Courland, as well as Ser Reynault Fournier, Lord Marshal of the Courlandic Guard. In addition to learning the chivalric ideal, he also learned about the less uplifting side - old warriors' stories of ruthless power politics, of betrayals and usurpation, of men who used guile to achieve their aims; of men such as Reynault

And so begins the tale.. of A Stolen Kiss.

Alec found himself strolling through the streets of Westmarch with a cheerful grin plastering his features. It was just another day. The sun was shining, the robins were chirping, and there was a slight breeze to the air. Alec had a good feeling. “SOLDIER!” a voice broke out through sound of citizens bustling about, reverberating about the city. Alec spun about, a fuming Reynault bumbling in his direction with a grimace plastering his visage and a club grasped tightly in his hand. Oh lord, he must not be in a good mood. Alec thought, standing tall and tapping his breastplate with a clasped fist before extending in outward in a proper Courlandic salute.

What do you call that?Reynault interrogated.

M’lor-“ Before Alec had the opportunity to finish, Reynault raised his barbarous club high in the air, proceeding to give Alec a brutal beat down. This was not uncommon of Reynault. If you couldn’t find him having his way with the local wenches, he was mercilessly beating the life out of the peasantry. Just as Alec felt his as though he was going to succumb to the pummeling, a heavenly voice called out.

Stop!” Althea shrieked, taking hold of the arm that Reynault was utilizing to batter his victim. Alec managed to look toward Althea through the scarlet droplets that were falling from his head and obscuring his eyes, taking note of the long auburn hair that flowed gracefully from her head, onto her shoulders. Never had his heart pound so profusely. Not even the wrath of Reynault could invoke his heart to pulse so intensely. She’s an angel.. Alec speculated. He hoisted himself to his feet, bringing a hand to the blood dripping from his skull. Althea rushed toward him, lightly taking hold of the bruised and bloodied man by the arm.

I got you..” Althea spoke softly, shooting a grimace toward Reynault while he scoffed toward them both. Althea lead them to the infirmary, leaving Reynault to his own devices. Alec stumbled alongside her, shifting his gaze toward her with a shocked expression. She had a fawn skin tone, and kind pale blue eyes. She glanced toward him and smiled delicately. Alec shivered, his heart pounding lavishly once more. “We’re here..” she said, stepping into the closest building and turning the nearest corner. Alec pursued her in, turning the corner before stopping on her heels. “Right here. Sit on the bed and wait for me.” Althea said, flinging the curtain to the room open and gesturing toward the bed. Alec bowed halfheartedly, smiling weakly. “Y-yes, m’lady.” She spun about and left the room, leaving Alec on the end of the bed. He twiddled his thumbs briefly before she returned. He looked up and stared at her burgundy gown, judging how nicely it complimented her figure. “I’m afraid you may be concussed.” she pursed her lips, taking a short step toward him and prodding at his skull. His heart nearly leaped out of his chest at that. “I-I don’t believe so, m-m’lady.” he cast his gaze downward,  It’s now or never.. he thought, looking upward and into her beautiful eyes. “M’lady.. If a thousand painters worked for a thousand years, they could not create a work of art as beautiful as you.” She planted her hands on her hips and chuckled harmoniously. “Follow my finger with your eyes.” she said, holding a finger outward between them and wiggling it about. Alec then abruptly reached a hand out and grabbed Althea by the face. Althea managed to squeak in surprise before Alec pulled her close and planted his lips on her own. They kissed for several moments before a jostling was heard behind the drape. Reynault stepped out from behind the curtain, his mouth agape at the scene. Althea retracted herself from Alec, gasping at the sight of Reynault. “My love, he forced it upon me!” Althea pleaded, turning to face Alec while he just sat there, dumbfounded that he managed to kiss his first woman. Without hesitating, Reynault protruded from his scabbard a dirk and lunged toward Alec before burying it into his gut. Alec spittled crimson onto Althea’s face, her shocked expression being his last memory before he ultimately plopped to the floor lifelessly. Reynault forcefully took Althea by the arm and practically dragged her out of the room while she blankly stared toward Alec. Thus ending the tale.. of A Stolen Kiss.
