  1. The Horn of Progress beckons towards a new Krugmar

    912878463_pastedimage0.png.b60ecb723ccd5b322fef6b03b5b1d7ca.png
    The Rex Klog'Akaal has tasked GROG'Gorkil to demand the presence of active and honorable leadership from among every clan within the Iron Horde.

    The following is a missive scrawled in Olog-Script:

    <=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>

    UG BRUDDAZ AGH ZIZTAZ.

    DA HORDE IZ EMPTEE, AGH DA KLANZ IZ WEEKIND
    WEN DA KLANZ IZ WEEK, DA UZG IZ WEEK

    WI MUZT REBLAZE DA WEEK LEEDURZ WIB ZTRONG LEEDURZ

    LAHT HAFF AZH KRUG WIIK TU KOME AGH LEED LAT'Z BRUDDAZ

    <=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>-<=>

    The following is a list of clans whose leadership have confirmed their intent and ability to lead their clan:

    'Ungri

    Gorkil

    Lur

    Akaal

    Ox

    The current wargoths of each clan not on this list is encouraged to either step forward and profess their intent and ability to lead their clan in the near future, or appoint an elder/council to do so in their stead until they are capable of doing so themselves. If a week passes from now and no wargoth has stepped forward from among these clans, the wargoth will be declared unfit and a Klomp or Klamor within the clan MUST be held to appoint a new head. If the clan does not do so, they will be left out of discussion regarding the future of Krugmar until a new wargoth is appointed.

    I have no issues with Rancid or his eventline, but this all seems very counter-productive. Killing anyone who doesn’t have some subjective item that could/could not represent a gas mask and forcing all encounters to CRP is a genuinely bad way to deal with any of what went on today or with what will go on in the future.

    tl;dr So, if you butt into an event to take people’s ****, you shouldn’t have to follow the event’s rules? because that’s what I’m hearing from you.

    We were informed by the ET that we were required to have the gas masks in order to survive going so deep into the swamp. Being able to run in and trounce the event by just fiat-ing some bullshit with RP and not having at least put in the effort to make something and call the ET to make an item for you if you’re worried about or unable to use renames is bullshit. You shouldn’t be able to cause conflict in an event you’ve not announced your intentions to be a part of with the ET managing it beforehand in most cases, let alone doing so while also ignoring the environmental and other restrictions put upon the people who were actually there for the event.

    There’s nothing fun about spending days planning/waiting for an event and having it be spoiled by a bunch of people who refused to play by the event’s rules. Especially not when they so blatantly have no intention to RP, given that two of them are statused as they walk up. It’s not conducive to roleplay and provides no positive experience for anyone except the people that are trying to get more pixels for their pvp chests.

    I will agree that mass CRP in most cases isn’t fun, but if both sides have people that actually know what they’re doing and are willing to take L’s it would probably be fun, I think using PVP past 10 people is reasonable, but I think CRP should be an option, rather than locking advantages people should have (I.E. Magic, CA race benefits (Golem, druid morph, Olog, etc.) or whatever else.) away simply because some dudes rallied enough people to force clicking so they don’t have to deal with being RPly weaker. But that really has nothing to do with this, it just came to mind since it got mentioned and it’s something I feel strongly about. Personally, I think we need an alternative to PVP, but making a standardized system for it for such a large server would be so difficult to implement ?

    Anyways, Grog out boys, that’s my 5 cents on this ****.

    holy **** that quote box glitched out

  3. Zayem frowns, the loss of such a great uruk disappointing him greatly, but even moreso was the loss of a friend and role model. Perhaps the halls of Stargush would bring him happiness. He turns, solemnly digging the foundations of something to hopefully honor the wise counsel that he left behind.

  4. Grog grins widely, clapping as he brings a keg of ale to his face “AZH FUR DA HAPPI KUPPUL!”  He bellows, knocking a few chugs back. “HOZH FOR MAFFIAZ!” he exclaims, nodding in glee. Grog hopes the spirits bless his wedding and Arwa brings another child to his wonderful friend.

    I’m frankly not sure how practical bendy steel would be, as wouldn’t it be rendered useless upon contact with iron? Also, the formatting is very poor on this one. Not to mention that, most of those elements would not great bendy steel regardless, and titanium is very difficult to obtain and process especially with the tech levels of LotC. I’m gonna have to give this a -1 from me, chief

    Actually, flexible metals have a variety of uses in medieval times and in our modern age. Also, Titanium and Iron make a real life equivalent.

  6. In the Rexdom of Krugmar, two half orcs had an idea, to spread both amicable relations with other nations and to please Theruz. A chest is in front of Krugmar for people to deposit books and ink. The Book Klub has a meeting every Krug’s week and welcomes people of all races, subraces, ethnicities, and cultures (aside from whitewashes and dark zhomo). On this day, all can write, read, socialize, and vote on the best book of the week. The next Buuk Klub’s location and approximate start time will be posted as a reply to to this topic every week to schedule the event.

    At the end of every Krug’s month, a book will be chosen from the best of each week, and that book shall be given the Buuk Klub seal of approval, and the submitted copy will be sent to the Library of Draugr after a number of copies are made for the writer, the Buuk Klub library, and the shrine to Theruz within Krugmar. Along with that, all books nominated for the award shall be listed on this page:

    For more information and fun, please join this discord: https://discord.gg/PMcTH7d or contact me: MG#9334

    From the first meeting: “The Pumpkin Lad” by Diva Sugarfoot

    The first Buuk Klub occurred within Adria one krug’s day before the tragic burning, and as such, the next meeting shall be within the Refugee camp, which is now housing people displaced by the event.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

    Ologs are basically the orcoid version of pack animals, being bred to be giant walls of muscle and fat, able to take on huge burdens and beat the everliving crap out of people. They have an unending hunger which can cause quite a few issues, as they lack the self-control or attention span to focus on something if anything comes around that could possibly be distracting. This is the cause of most failures, as it’s really easy to bribe them as well. They completely lack proper intelligence, unable to count to five, and nearing five can end in literal death. However, they make up for this not only in their prodigal strength but also in their sheer size and tough hide, being able to grow up to 10 feet tall and deflect weak projectiles near completely. Though all this together severely limits their physical capabilities

    Ologs are slothful creatures that require coaxing to do simple tasks and lack emotion aside from Anger, Hunger, Sadness, And Happiness. Their intelligence is severely lacking, being unable to make sentences longer than five words, and between those they need to ponder extensively. They know basic information and common terms but, beyond that, they know practically nothing.

    Their prodigal size and strength are supported by an equally substantial hunger which runs through a powerful digestive system which can process huge amounts of food, and able to digest things which couldn't possibly pass through a normal uruk, much less a human.
