It's the responsibility of humans to help other humans as best as they can, within the limit of reason, if I might add. Banning them from an entire country is not acting within the limit of reason. The immigrants, particularly the refugees hold no political power to make a change in their country and frankly, I doubt the belief in those countries is large enough to amass a revolution large enough to instill change. They, like the predecessors of a lot of Americans, came to America to "better themselves as a people" because they seek the opportunities your country is known for providing. They seek the American Dream (which has died a while ago imo).

I'm not saying the government should let them in willy-nilly, that would be disastrous. I'm saying that immigrants should be subjected to a case-by-case investigation before being allowed into the country, instead of banning them completely until you can figure something out which is inhumane. Also, it's a fair point that his statements alone don't discredit his ideas, but: http://fortune.com/2015/12/23/donald-trump-plan-tax-policy-center/http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/donald-trumps-tax-plan-great-donald-trump

I claim Trump is part of the corporations when he literally said "Having a lower minimum wage is not a bad thing", which would only benefit big companies as they wouldn't have to pay their employees as much, thus making them more profit while worsening the situation with the middle class. Even at what, $7.25 an hour, people are already suffering and failing to make ends meet at times, lowering it is a nonsensical idea. Furthermore, I highly doubt Trump would stick to his word on any issue. A man that's called for a temporary ban on Muslims immigrating to America and called Mexicans 'rapists' is not a man who can be kept to his word. There's this whole nonsense about how Trump doesn't submit to corporate shills because he doesn't owe a single dollar in campaign funding to them, but the problem is that he's got stakes in these big companies and I doubt he'd develop policies that would detriment them.

Honestly, all these problems are the direct result of the lack of commitment most establishment politicians have to the masses of people that elected them into office. They're in office for their own benefit, they sell out to corporations in exchange for campaign and personal donations, doing almost anything for them whilst remaining nonchalant towards the needs of the people. Clinton is the prime example of that. I absolutely despise her for what she's doing to Sanders i.e. lying about the fact that his economic policies like that of breaking up the big banks aren't realistic despite the fact that 170 of the top economists in America have backed him up. She's even furthering some nonsensical narrative that Sanders is un-electable against a Republic candidate despite the polls showing that he'd do miles better against Trump and Cruz that she would. Most of all, I hate the fact that she's trying to paint a picture of herself being more liberal and farther left than Sanders is, logic tells us that she isn't.
As for Trump, electing him as President would only worsen the whole situation with corporations because he IS part of it, and would only work to their benefit while neglecting even the basic needs of ordinary Americans simply for money.

I like Sanders because he's authentic, and sincere about what he's saying. You don't get that every day. Or decade rather...
Mind if I had a go at guessing who you support? I'm guessing Rubio?

Your grammar is fine. I'll point this out though, the tax rate for corporations and start-ups may be one of the highest in the world, but the effective tax rate paid by large corporations is lower than what most would think. Tax evasions and what not through loop holes that the government has been bribed not to fix. I agree with you on the basis that the tax rate is primarily beneficial to mega corporations though. Most start-ups can't survive with such high taxes for very long and often fall short, whilst the larger establishments have been evading them.

I'd argue, however, that you're able to have a mix of both capitalistic and socialist ideals in a nation ONLY if it is well-planned and maintained. Each ideology has its own merits, capitalism for example promotes innovation and invigorates production whilst socialism advocates for a fairer and ultimately more equal society.  You need only look to Scandinavian countries for a perfect example of both capitalism and socialism working hand in hand. America has shifted so far right that a man like Sanders who would be considered a moderate in say, Denmark, seems radical to the eyes of the average American. The establishment media paddling that narrative doesn't help his case either, nor does Donald Trump's eternal rant of /fascist/ bull.

Forgive me if I've got anything wrong, I don't think I'm as well versed on economics as you are. Especially in America's case, since I live in Singapore which is a day's flight away.

I'm kidding, socialism in its purest form is idealistic and isn't achievable at all. However, socialism was born out of the criticisms of capitalism. The whole point of capitalism and why it was created was because people wanted out of a feudalistic society where people were limited in opportunities by a hierarchical class system, the problem with capitalism was that it allowed for the creation of two new classes i.e the capitalists and the proles. I'm not rooting for pure socialism, I'm rooting for democratic socialism which is an entirely different ballpark, and it simply advocates for a 'sane' capitalistic society where the income and wealthy inequality isn't as enormous as it currently is. So yeah, I'm not some idiot that knows nothing about socialism but thinks it's cool to support it.
