  1. OOC:

    Minecraft Name: PerpetualTuesday

    Skype (Required): minacullen13

    Team Speak (Preferred, Not Required):

Professions (Blacksmith, Miner, etc)- not yet

    In Character:

    Name: Cynefin Cormaic

    Race: Human, Highlander

    Age: 25

Any past services to the Ashguard, Norland, or House Silversteed?: None

  2. From what I know of Levi, he is a helpful and inventive guy, probably someone who I would turn to for help when figuring out a new element to add to a roleplay. I am under the conception that he would make a fine addition to the event team (inexperienced as I am), and that anyone, under the guidance of the more experienced members can grow in creativity and skill.

Honestly, this could be a great chance to nurture and groom an individual with a lot of potential.

    In other words;

    +1

  3. So, I've been thinking of rebooting an old character of mine, my first, in fact.

(I have been away from the server for quite a while, which has given me some time to think about this)

I want to change her up quite a bit, due to her 'growing up' and all that. In a word, she has matured (from how she was).

........ and also because her current skin is horrible.

    So a bit of stuff:

    - She's a Farfolk

    - Female, obviously

    - In her late twenties (once I reboot her; problems were caused by afk-ness)

And here's some pictures, because I figured you'd want a reference:

    - The old skin (yes, I know, I hate it too) https://docs.google.com/document/d/135SW_g-PjvL3Fm0zQFlHqgxG0xkCjEPisPzG0DjxXSU/pub

    - Some (crappy) concepts  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_PdYE12PnnzBgsKMZOlKaszQPn3S1cuBbwEfaPr_ZoQ/pub

    Just a final note;

Although I would like the new skin to look altogether different from the old one, I would like the fundamentals to remain the same (eg. Skin tone, Hair colour, ect.)

Akila was my very first true roleplay character, and while that means she has a few inaccuracies and liberties in her design (due to me not knowing my stuff at the time), I feel like it

would be violating her character if these things were changed too drastically.

Somehow, she is the single most important character I have ever created, and I don't want to loose what makes her Akila. Even if I disagree with some of it...

So please, take good care of my baby. As mentioned in the title, I'll pay whatever you think is suitable, the main reasons being that I have no experience with skins or their creation, and I don't have a gauge on the appropriate pricing, so I'll leave that one to you. (Also, I have no idea how many minas I currently have, but hey, that's what voting is for)

    Best Regards,

    monopolycraft

    (yes, that's my in-game username)

Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: monopolycraft   (This is my second application, as in, not a re-try, but an application for a new character. I wasn't sure if I needed to give this information again, but better safe than sorry, I guess.)

    How old are you?: 14

Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): yes, I am aware.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The rule that states the people must wear skins suited to their character. To roleplay properly, you must first look like the role you are playing.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): Nope, they are all reasonable and make sense.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I was searching for a decent roleplay server, and this one seemed like the best. It was.

What is roleplaying?: A style of gaming which focuses on creating and living in the lives of unique characters. Roleplay should not cross over into real life.

What is metagaming?: Out of character information which should not directly affect or enter the roleplay.

What is powergaming?: Bad roleplay. When someone emotes an action and does not give the affected player and room to react or counter it.

    In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Shaz

    Character’s sex: Female

    Character’s race: Kha'Leparda

    Character’s age: 16

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Shaz was born to a rather average Kha family. Her parents were farmers, with many children. As the children came of age, they would be sent off into the world, to fend for themselves and start their own lives. Shaz spent her childhood in much the same way as her siblings, hiding in the wheat fields, stalking the fat barn-house rats and sleeping around the fire. However, she discovered a talent for knives when she was ix, and spent much of her time after that practicing her skills. While most of her brothers and sisters only learned to fight at eleven, Shaz was already causing havoc with her knives. At seven, she skewered her brother's paw with a badly-aimed thrust. Fortunately, she improved as she grew older, and no other stabbings occurred.

At fifteen, Shaz was sent out, alone, into the world, as was customary. She took few possessions with her, save for her trusty knives. On the road, the was little source of food, as she had grown up well feed, and the only prey she had ever chased had also been well feed. In short, she had no idea how to feed herself. It was for this reason that by the time she reached a city, she was near starving. Shaz resorted to stealing fish from an unattended cart. Perhaps it was because it was the first food she had eaten in weeks, or it was just because the fish was delicious, but,, whatever the reason, Shaz instantly fell in love with this succulent new morsel. However, stealing was hard, and risky, and Shaz would never in a million years try to catch her own fish, as fish prefer to be wet, and cats do not. So, it is a rare occasion when Shaz is reunited with her favorite food, but she is always grateful for it. She tends to travel from city to city, hanging around in the shadows, minding her own business. Unless fish is concerned.

Personality Traits: Shaz tends to act quite lofty, almost condescending at times. She doesn't like anyone who she feels is wasting her time.

Ambitions: All she really wants is food and a warm fire. And for people to stop annoying her.

Strengths/Talents: She is skilled with her knives. As well as this, she also possesses the traits of her sub-race; she is somewhat stealthy, somewhat fast and somewhat strong. Although she is not outstanding in any of these three skills, she still manages to use them to her advantage.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: She can be rather rude and distrustful, as well as this, her Kha appearance can cause others to be rude and distrustful towards her.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Shaz is short compared to a human, and is rather well built and muscled. Her fur is rather golden for a Kha'Leparda, but she is otherwise a fairly average specimen.

Appearance, please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin (If you need help, see our screenshot guide here):http://imgur.com/jkaGvpq

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?: monopolycraft

How old are you?: I am 13 and I live in New Zealand, so there are often not many people are on when I am.

Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes, I am aware of this, and I agree with it, as it encourages younger players to be more mature in their roleplaying.

Have you applied to this server before? (Please link all past applications): I have applied once before, and it was denied.

    here is the link:  https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/133034-hello-i-would-like-to-apply-for-the-server/

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: I have read all of the rules, and I agree with them, as they are fair, and necessary for a fun and enjoyable roleplaying society.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The rule I agree with the most is the one about not having skins inappropriate to your character, as this is what can spoil and destroy the realism of an otherwise perfect roleplay.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! You will not be denied for having a question on the rules): At the time of my last application, I was in question about races and sub-races, but this was cleared up, as the application was denied. (I was trying to set my character up as a ghost)

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I was browsing for roleplay servers (my favorite kind) and Lord Of The Craft seemed like the best, most elite roleplay server there was.

What is roleplaying?: Almost like online acting, where a player plays as a character other than themselves, with a story and a personality.

What is metagaming?: An out of character action or phrase that a player can say to another to share information that they could not while in character. It does not directly affect the player's character.

What is powergaming?: An action made by one character towards another that the other who the action impacts cannot change. eg. "Sam throws a bottle at Sally. It does not miss." Sally can then not say "But then she ducks, and the bottle smashes against a wall", as this would contradict the previous action. Powergaming is not fair, as it can often be misused, and does not let the other character think for themselves or have any input.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Akila

    Character’s gender: Female

Character’s race: A human farfolk from Vailor. She is a Qalasheen.

    Character’s age: 18

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Akila was born on a farm on the outskirts of Al-Warakh. Her family were poor farmers, but with a special talent for breeding horses. As the only daughter on the farm, her father often did not know what to do with her. She was taght to do household chores by her mother, but it soon became clear that her true talents lay with the horses. As soon as she was able to ride, Akila's feet hardly ever touched the ground. She spent her days on the farm training and birthing the new foals, preparing them for the market. Indeed, she spent so much of her time with them that she could almost communicate with them, although through her body and movements. Her talents soon became renowned through out the small villages that bought her families horses.

A few years later, when Akila was 18, a group of bandits and outlaws went on a rampage through the outer areas of the city. They took many things; horses, food, weaponry, and slaves. Akila was among them. They were taken to Adria, to be sold. Akila was bought by a wealthy farmer, who had more slaves than he could handle. One night, Akila stole away unnoticed and unmissed. Alone in the huge city, with no familiar faces or names, Akila should have felt lost and scared. Instead, her heart pumped with excitement and adventure. The world suddenly seemed so huge, and she had an unbearable desire to see all of it, to learn all of its secrets. She looked up at the clouds above her and smiled. What had they seen? What lay ahead of her? Like the clouds, she would race across the land, as fast as the wind! But first, she would need a horse...

Personality Traits: Akila is adventurous and strong willed. She is good-natured towards those that are friendly to her, and she likes to make light of a subject when she gets the chance.

Ambitions: At the moment, Akila's only wish is to travel the world and discover what it has in store for her.

Strengths/Talents:  On a horse, she is almost untouchable. Evan on foot she is fast, as she has run with horses many times.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: She is not a very strong fighter, although she is brave. She has little skill with a sword or a bow, and she never wears armor, as it slows her down and impairs her movement.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): She is rather short, even for a farfolk, at just over four and a half feet. She is slim, with a body toned from her many years with her horses.

Appearance, please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin (If you need help, see our screenshot guide here):

  6. My minecraft username is monopolycraft.

I am 13 years old, and I live in new Zealand, so hopefully there will be people on at the same time as me, as i live in a different time zone.

I am well aware that the server is pg-13, and I agree with this, as it encourages younger players to roleplay in a more mature way.

This is my first application to this server

I have read and agreed to the server rules, as they are fair and should be followed for successful roleplay.

The role I agree to most is the rule which states that players must have a skin that suits their character. Nothing spoils a roleplay more than a person who refuses to look like their character and insists on a rainbow pig skin!

The only rule i am in question about is the one about needing permission to roleplay a special character. I would very much like to roleplay as a ghost, but I am not sure if this is allowed. And where it talks about races and sub-races. Does this mean that if I was to be a ghost I would have to be a Dwarven ghost or an Elven ghost ect...

Roleplay is my favorite way to play  minecraft, but many servers I have played on did not meet my expectations, or had too few players on at the same time as me. But, Lord Of The Craft seems like the best, most well-organised server there is, so I am hoping for a chance to play on it.

Roleplaying: roleplaying is a style of playing. It uses the basis that players are not themselves, but a character f their own invention, usually in a fantasy setting. Roleplay works best with creative, imaginative people who can work well with others and cooperate.

Metagaming: metagaming is an action or thing that a player does which is out of character. The character that the player is being does not know the information that is said during metagaming, and what is said during this has no direct effect or impact on the character. It is used to pass on important hints to other players who otherwise would not have access to this information.

Powergaming: A roleplay action one player makes against another, in which the other has no control over and cannot change it. eg: "sam throws a bottle at sally's head. it doesn't miss". Sally can not now say "but she ducks just in time and it smashes against the wall", because this would contradict the aforementioned action. She must go along with it. Powergaming can sometimes be harmful and annoying to the characters being "powergamed" against. It is better to leave actions open ended, giving the other player a chance to make their own decisions, rather than have someone else make them for them.

    In-Character Information

My character will be called Wyrra.

    She is a female.

I would like her to be a human ghost, if this is allowed. (if not, then ignore the backstory past her death)

When she died, she was seventeen.

Wyrra's family owned a small farm in Adria, in the realm of Vailor. Her father was a cruel man, who wanted sons to help him run his farm, not a weak girl-child who could not preform the heavy labors of a man. He had seven sons already and two daughters, both of whom he had pay a dowry for when they wed. This new girl mattered little to him. So, when she was six years old, he left her in the woods to die. She would have been torn apart by wolves had she not been found by an abandoned foal. The foal had been left for dead by its heard, as it was runty and weak. The  foal carried the girl to a cave, where they lived for the next few months. Young as she was, Wyrra had already been taught to ride by her second eldest brother, Filipe. Once the pair were strong enough, Wyrra's feet barely  touched the ground. The foal, who she named Durra, carried her with ease, as she was a light little wisp of a girl. The two grew stronger, and their bond deepened to a point where they could understand each other, even though neither spoke the same language. For the next few years, they stayed out of all contact with other people of any race. All they knew was each other. But one day in the woods, a band of rouges came upon them. The men were all thieves, and had just killed the livestock of a wealthy farmer and had taken most of his gold and jewelry. The angry farmer had set the police of Adria upon the thieves. Wyrra was now very far from her home city, but the thieves had rode many miles from Adria, all the while being pursued by the law. when they saw Wyrra, the decided that they must silence her, or she could alert the police behind them as tho which way they had gone. So they slit her throat, and her horse's for good measure.

Wyrra's strong love for Durra was what awakened her, and she rose to look for him. (and that is where her story begins)

Wyrra is a determined girl, with not much of a mind for humor. She is very serious in what she does  most of the time, but still finds joy in the things she loves. She is wistful and longs to return to the days in which she rode Durra through the forests.

All she wants is to find Durra again, and to ride him through their forests, and to the ends of the earth

On a horse, she is invincible, and she has a strong affinity with them, as she grew to know their language and cues when she was with Durra.

She is not one for using swords or armor, as she is used to fighting from horseback. She refuses to wear any armor, as it slows her down and makes her movements less fluid. She has no magical tendencies or abilities.

She is short and very slim, and quite fast.

Thank you so much for reading all this, and I really hope that you accept my application, as I am very excited to play on Lord Of The Craft, and have been for a long time!
