~*~*~Overview~*~*~ Fireweed, an extremely addictive substance, is found primarily in the northern Aevos, but through careful cultivation (and avoidance of the law) it has spread so far as the south where rich merchants use it as a stimulant for expensive parties. As the drug moved south, an entirely new culture sprang up around it. It became a show of social extravagance; a person with the means of procuring or cultivating fireweed, as well as the means of avoiding prosecution, is likely a person in a fairly powerful position. It’s rumored that the Holy Orenian Empire would encourage soldiers to chew it on marches, in order to keep their energy high. In times of desperation, peasants are sometimes given fireweed in place of food. ~*~*~Use~*~*~ Fireweed is almost exclusively chewed for the piercing energy boost it gives. Once the pulpy weed has been chewed through, the husky remains are spit out. However, some, especially more affluent socialites, prefer to dry the plant and smoke it in a pipe. This is much harder to do, as inhaling the smoke the wrong way leads to a hacking cough and a sore throat. ~*~*~Effects~*~*~ Immediate effects include a sense of warmth pervading the entire body, and a sense of invulnerability or superior strength. It also makes the user more energetic. The drug builds up an immediate addiction that is overwhelming and hard to break. If chewed, the weed softens the teeth and blackens the gums. If smoked, the smoke leads to lung damage and pained breathing. Once it is ingested, the user has an extreme urge for another 'hit'- however, they still retain all free choice in the matter. Once a second dose is administered, the drug will begin to play a larger and larger part in the user’s mind. They will constantly crave a dose, and will start to show signs of withdrawal. ~*~*~Withdrawal~*~*~ A person who has been addicted to fireweed will experience several problems when they try to come off the drug, even if it's slowly. They will feel cold, even in the heat of the day. Their bodies will respond with a lack of energy, or will to do anything. A constant shaking and twitch is normal. Extreme users will find that extended periods of time without the drug can actually kill a person. ~*~*~Creation~*~*~ Fireweed can be grown almost anywhere thanks to its pervasiveness in culture. The singular plant is well suited for growing in small niches, however, multiple plants will choke each other out and ruin the soil for future cultivation. A large expanse of land is needed for each plant, making large farms impractical and hard to house discreetly.

Hiya. I'm mick, 26 he/him I've been around the mcrp scene off and on for... too long. Apparently I had a brief stint playing here in 2016, can't remember that for the life of me, other than I went with possibly the edgiest character name I've ever rp'ed under. For other old farts in the crowd, I was on Medieval Minecraft way back in 2012, left to help write lore for Realms of Caeldor, rewrote that lore when they rebranded to Valenor, briefly jumped to Evrand when it sounded like it was going to be a thing, then tried my hand at my own server with Lysera that ultimately ended up going nowhere. Excited to be on a server that apparently has more than a three month half-life.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Anarion, unlike his contemporaries, has no weakness and excels at everything he does. Although others call him 'prideful' or 'arrogant', he prefers to see these as bonuses. His constant wanderings have also left him wary of any form of commitment, but that just means more love to spread around, right ladies?
