  1. Another piece of parchment, this one seemingly forgotten, drifts through the wind. It looks like a huge hole was ripped through the top, perhaps this wind had ripped it from it's original place? Anyone who would happen to find it, and look it over would find the following inscribed on it.

To whomever this concerns. I am searching for multiple people for different deals, or one individual capable of  accomplishing them all.

-50 Cocoa Seeds for 50 Minas. I will be buying this one time, for this amount.

-A stable buyer of Hay. Prices can be negotiated according to need versus amount bought. I will be selling.

-Any offerings on farmland. I will be buying.

If you have any interest in these deals, send a bird to Dorian Quail. (Sovereign_15) Or, you might find me somewhere on the road.

  2. Love the poetry bro, unique way to voice an opinion. I for one think you've got some talent. Kind of weird it's being used here, but by all means don't stop now.

On the topic though, since it seems mentioned here as Roleplay combat versus PvP, they each have their functions. While PvP is obnoxious, it too holds purpose and while many dislike it, just as many like it for it's uses.

    PvP:

    +Ends combat quickly.

    +Easier to involve multiple people.

+Gives everyone an 'even' chance to start with.

    - "You only won because of your orc buff!"

    - People who train PvP so they can be the best warrior.

    - Farmers killing you because they are l33t swordsman.

    RP:

    + More dynamic combat.

+ Better expression of both the character and the actions.

+ Allows for both players to debate how actions should be, along with give some spice to it.

    - Takes forever.

    - Allows Power-gaming.

    - The amount of martial arts ninjas running around.

While we all have our preferences, both have reasons to enjoy them, and by respecting those reasons we can come together as a community rather than have these debates over PvP or RP default. Defender's Default makes it possible to experience both, and enjoy a good time on the server. While it may not be too fun for you, the guy who wants to do Magic or the warrior who needs a quick PvP may want to have their fun too. Sometimes it's best to bite the bullet, and let the community have a good time.

  3. A poster hangs from various walls. It looks to be little more than a poorly written poster with a lot of holes in it, either written by someone in a rush or someone in anger.

Listen. I've got seeds. Hundreds of Wheat Seeds. Want some? Just ask. I don't even have a place for all of them. 1 Mina for 10 Seeds. A simple deal. No bargaining. Leave your name, and I'll get to you when I have time. No, I don't have any other type of seed, nor do I want to get you one. You want wheat seeds? I have wheat seeds. If not, don't buy any.

  4. Dorian looks apon this poster. He remembers, if briefly, the encounter he had with a similar man whom was searching for magic. A small smile appears on his face as he takes out a quill and scratches something onto the poster.

Perhaps specify the type of magic you are looking for. They are so numerous, you may end up learning something like Illusion, when you meant to learn Fire Evocation.

P.S. If you're that guy I took the money from, thanks. If not, ignore this.

What’s your Minecraft account name?: Sovereign_15

    How old are you?: Sixteen.

Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yarp.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yessirey.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?:  "Your skin must be an RP-friendly representation of your character. Obscene, offensive, or non-rp skins are not allowed. There are many skin-makers on the Forums who

are happy to provide skins for new players. The use of a skin created by another player without their consent is considered plagiarism, and is disallowed." I only agree with this because Pumpkin heads. Flash backs to pumpkin heads.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): "If you die in roleplay, your character will not remember the events leading up to the death. Waking up knowing who killed you is metagaming. You also may not return to the site of your death for thirty minutes (Unless it was your character's home). " This rule always got me, as I'm uncertain how far back it implies. Does it mean the confrontation at all? Or just five minutes? The combat? The entire day? I'm not sure.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?:  Three years ago, there about. Brother told me of it. Back when death was permanent, and VA's were still cool.

Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): Not going to link, my past apps were pretty meh. If it's a big deal I'll go fish them out, but... I don't want my first impression to be a bad one.

    In-Character Information

    Character’s name:  Dorian Quail.

    Character’s sex: Male

    Character’s race: Human

    Character’s age: Thirty

Biography: The Quail were a group of fierce warriors. Known for their ferocity on the battlefield, they gained great prestige as warriors within the Holy Orenian Empire. His Grandfather being so successful, he was granted some land to live on for the rest of his days, and to raise his family. It was an unspoken agreement that the sons of Quail would fight for the Orenian Empire, and the land would remain theirs. Though this didn't last nearly so long as either side had hoped.
While Quail's father was content to fight, his son was far less accomedating. As a result, his father kept fighting so the land would remain in the hands of his family. But finally, his father grew too old and died from illness. Finally, Dorian was called upon to fight in the siege of Kal'Ordholm. Refusing once more, he is warned of the consequences of said actions. Though he never dreamed of what would come. One day, two guards roughly formed themselves into his home, and took everything. Then, they threw him out and left him with not a coin in his pocket. Finding little alternative, Dorian hit the road in search of work.
After spending many years in a serfdom just to survive, Dorian was relieved of his duty as someone younger than him took over. Now at thirty, Dorian has few chances left for economic oppurtunity. While he still dreams of something more, the grim reality that he may have only post-poned the inevitable haunts him at every turn. As autumn, and with it, winter, fast approaches, he is unsure what to do with what little time he has. In this great time of uncertainty, will he be able to find a job that sticks true to what he believes in? Or will the economoic hard-ships of today force him into problems for tomorrow?

(Writer's Note: This was originally submitted on a Sunday, but was taken out during the roll-back. As a result, the biography may no longer make sense considering it is already Fall. If this is grounds worth denying, I have no qualms rewriting this. I just liked the way it ended and didn't want to mess with it.)

Personality Traits: Dorian is a pretty plain guy. He doesn't much like the drink nor the gambling, and he would much rather prefer a day out in the field than day out in a pub. He isn't much one for a fight, and would almost always prefer a comfortable day at home versus one out doing something dangerous or mind numbingly stupid. As a result, many would consider him quite 'boring'. Though he prefers the term 'level-headed'.

Ambitions: Dorian aspires to own a great company. Something like farming, though he isn't too sure yet. Mostly, he just wants to be successful in some measurable way. After all, considering he just his land, his biggest ambition is to get land again.

Strengths/Talents: Farming, and taking care of live-stock. As he spent most of his life on a farm, he has developed a certain knack for the art of being a farmer. This extends to knowing good times to plants, and the better times to harvest.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Magic. Having never been exposed to it, nor even having heard of it outside of tall tales, he will likely never learn it, nor attempt to get near any of it. That said, his second worst failing would be combat. His level-headed mind combined with a hope for a calm day means he almost always wishes to avoid it, and will not put up a fight unless cornered. This also means he lacks a general education in combat, and has about as much knowledge as a doctor does how to clean your pipes. (No dirty joke intended, promise.)

Appearance: Freshly thirty, Dorian is starting to look it. His face is starting to develop wrinkles, and while he still has some spry in him, he's not quite the man his younger self used to be. The bits of lighter hair in his beard and hair say that more than anything. While not overly interesting looking, he is the kind of guy that you might not look twice of outside of his farm.
Yet, walking the city blocks, he is something else entirely. A mammoth of a man, he is well proportioned but massive all the same. At 6'0 even, he is the tallest in his family (so tall, his father loved to joke, that he could stare an Orc in the eye. While this is far from true, this is how tall he is in comparison to most of his family.) He is a bit burly, at 208-ish. A mixture of fat and muscle from his time on farms has given him an interesting physique. So while he does have strength, he isn't attractive in the way a man with strength would be.
Speaking of, he isn't very attractive at all. Many would describe him as 'Plain'. With dull gray eyes and a hook nose, there isn't much to look out. His eyebrows are a bit too thick, and his beard covers up his weak jaw. All in all, he isn't much of a looker, but he does carry a soft smile despite it.

This should work. If not, I'll go grab a screen-shot.
