  1. Ulrich scanned the document, appreciating the time and thought put into such a decree. Ulrich believes himself to be a good reader, but when he had reached the part outlining the punishment of slavery, he had to double take, replacing his current reading glasses with those from a nearby table. “Slavery, they say!? They could have been a little more subtle!” Ulrich continued to grumble about the matter as he went to sleep.

  2. Merwyn would have passed by the missive that would have been held to the notice board by a rusty old nail. He would have read over it, and would have then relayed the information to his guildhall in Guise, in order to gather some able-bodied adventurers for the quest.

  3. Merwyn would have been sitting outside the local monastery, a wooden pipe sticking halfway out of his mouth. An occasional “puff-puff” would be heard from it as he read over the bulletin. His eyes would widen as he continued to read the script, being filled with a sudden sense of patriotism, and a feeling that things were changing for the better. He would throw down his pipe, and with the bulletin in hand, he would stand up out of his seat to look up to the Sun, shouting so that all those around him could hear.

    Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes.

    What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Hostile and Toxic behavior because any of that behavior can't be tolerated on a server because it causes a lot of 'edginess' (I can't find a word for it) between the two parties who started the behavior. If it happens and gets to be lead on then those two parties will always act hostile against each other and there will be no passive rp between them (This is my opinion by the way.)

    Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): Nope.

    How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Balthasar on the forums told me about it.

    What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is simply where you take upon a role of someone or something that is not you and you act with the same behaviors and traits that the character you are playing as has. If you're actually a really soft person in real life, but you're roleplaying a brash, berserking viking, you'd roleplay in a very assertive and dominant way, not like your normal soft self in real life, that's what playing your role is all about.

    What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when you use information that you didn't acquire by in character means. If one of your friends tells you in steam/skype or anything else that you can find (insert somebodies name here) at this place unprotected so that you could kill them easily for their loot, and you go and do exactly what your friend had just told you out of character, that is metagaming. Another example would be if your friend told you out of character in steam/skype where an item was, and you made a beeline to that location. TL:DR of metagaming is, using information you didn't learn in roleplay, in roleplay.

    What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is when you force your actions on someone. A scenario would be this: John is 6 ft tall and strong. Abe is 5 ft tall and weak. Abe starts a fight with John. John fights back and says he wins because he's 6 ft tall and strong and because Abe is 5 ft tall and weak he can't say anything about it and he has to accept the defeat.

     

    In-Character Information
    Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

     

    Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Karl.

    Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male.

    Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) Highlander.

    Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 27. (I wanted to make this 43, but I was getting confused with the dates of when the people on Vailor moved to Axios. I'm not a complete master on the lore and i'm not sure if there were already people on Axios, but I made it 27 so that it correlates with the moving date of Vailor to Axios anyway but if it's allowed I want them to be 43.)

     

    Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Karl was born to a soldier of the Kingdom of Norland in 1572. He was a very troublesome child when he was growing up, however and he didn't make much friends due to his brash attitude. Karl's father was a drunkard and he was killed in a fight at the local tavern of his village. Karl and his mother found refuge with an old whaler, who Karl was very fond of and he even learned that the whaler was a mercenary back in his days. The whaler basically became Karl's father and taught him basic things in life and even how to socialize with people, making Karl into quite a gregarious child. Eventually when Karl reached manhood, he had already learned how to hunt, hunting game for his now new family that he had made. It all took a turn when a mercenary band had arrived in the town. Karl was always very ambitious and it always felt so strange sitting in that little village in Norland. He decided to sign up and he found himself in action in the Sultanate of Haria. He grew very close to his fellow mercenaries and even made a friend out of a few of them, one of them being a dwarf. He was an officer in the company until a noble in Haria decided that the band was causing trouble, and their camp was attacked in the middle of the night. Karl made it out on a horse and made it back to the village where they had landed in, finding that some of his mercenary friends that actually made it out did the same. They all boarded a boat and headed back to Norland, the cries of the Harian soldiers soon dieing off as they saw the mercenaries getting away on boat, and Karl felt safe once he knew they were not being followed, but he remembers what the Harians did to him. He returned to Norland to find that his wife had left him, which hadn't struck him that hard as he thought it would. He now looks to find service in a lord, or anyone that is wealthy enough to recruit someone into their service. However to Karl's dismay, he didn't have any time to grab his gear when his camp was raided in the Sultanate of Haria, and now he is just left with some hide armor his father had left him. However he has chosen to stay in Norland, knowing that the Jarls of Norland were always noble and wealthy men that need soldiers, and the latter was something that Karl was very interested in.

     

    Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Karl loves to have a good fight. However, this comes with the downfall of him hating to lose fights. He sees winning a fight to be a great self esteem booster, and he is quite pompous to where he wants to make a good impression. He does not want to be pushed around. He hates drinking. He hates people who drink. He hates Harians. He has a strong brotherhood with Norlanders and he will defend his homeland to the last second.

     

    Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Karl aspires to be wealthy and a man of great traits.

    Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Karl is not a very clever man, and he will almost always take an aggressive approach and charge in. He is a skilled swordfighter and he is good with the bow.

     

    Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He is not very clever at all and so he never takes a defensive approach and he never plans out his attack. He needs to work on when and where to attack. He's not very nimble either, and he is slow to learning.

    Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) They are tall (6'1), they have long brown hair, they have no scars, they have grey eyes, and they have a very mesomorphic build, being very built.
