I am a Wood Elf with novice knowledge of traditional medicines and healing. I am hoping to expand my knowledge on the subject, so that I may better help the injured and sick. I am willing to trade my current medical abilities for as little as a roof and a place where I may study and practice. Holy healing is all well and fine, but is commonly known to fail often, leaving more need of a traditional doctor.

Biography

Lyaera grew up close to Laureh'lin, a young elf of typical upbringing with lessons in literature, nature and manners. Finally coming on to the age where she would be considered an adult, she has decided to set about finding her own path away from home and learn more of the world around her. Having been raised on a farm with a large group including her parent, one much older broth, various farm hands and a few family friends, she has ha the unique opportunity to stumble across something she may consider a calling...

Working on a farm, even a more experienced worker often experiences small or even large injuries, requiring the touch of a medically inclined person. With no one capable of the more magical Healing, Lyaera soon became to go-to medic around the farm, stitching injuries, experimenting with different methods and herbs to relieve pain, tension and infections. Mostly, her mother helped to teach her more on flora, and her father gave her lessons in how certain injuries were caused and treated. Her brother, being a soldier of sorts, even shared some of the more gruesome knowledge of field-medic he had picked up on, occasionally bringing her books from other towns. Mostly self taught, she is adept at treating most minor wounds, and knows the theories that would be applied to more complicated injuries but does go unpracticed. No expert by any means, she is still useful at least. She would love to seek out a place where she can either be taught, or find a means to experiment and research further.

Appearance: She stands at 5'1" with a soft, feminine build and sun-kissed skin. Just a bit on the pale side for a wood elf, but with dark red-brown hair and light green eyes. She has a golden symbol on her forehead left their by her mother when she was born, but has yet to be told why exactly its their. Her mother teasingly tells her its simply because it is pretty.
