    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

     

    Ann Rutherford was a depressed Doctor in Courland who fell in love with the necromancer Corvo who soon killed her and transformed her into his servant.

    Ghosts are replications of someone's soul that has not properly passed on. There are several stages of ghosts, the first being a haunt. They do not recognize that they have deceased. When they learn that they have passed, they turn to either a revenant or a poltergeist depending on whether or not they accept their new form.

    The peaceful ghosts are the revenants, which are bluish in coloration. Accepting that they are dead, they develop powers such as invisibility, transformation and the ability to put out small fires.

    The evil versions of ghosts are poltergeists, the redder version. They do not accept their death and can put themselves into objects, basically possession. They scream quite often.
    Ghosts are capable to become visible and invisible at will, they learn to float and change their appearance. Ghosts can manipulate the world around them.
    They can not pass through walls, locks and doors. They are weak to holy magics and gold dust barriers.

     

    Haunt: Blackish/grayish ghosts who do not realize they are dead. 

    1.They can not physically interact with the world.

    2. They can not fully turn invisible, but appear translucent.

    3. They can not phase through objects

    4. If given evidence they have lived, they evolve to the next stage.

    Revenant: Bluish ghosts that have pupils and irises.

    1.If they don't accept dying, they could become poltergeists.

    2.They can only be awakened by someone else.

    3. They begin to shape their abilities.

    Poultergeist(Possible): A reddish ghost that forms when angry about dying.

    1. They are capable of throwing or destroying objects.

    2. They are very angry and tend to scream.

    3.It takes years to become a poultergeist.

    4 If calmed, can become a spectre

     Spectre(Possible): Luminous blue ghosts

    1. They have mastered their abilities of floating, invisibility, etc.

    2. They are mostly neutral, though can be aggressive.

    3. They wish to move onto the afterlife.

  3. A wretched, inexorable clanking follows a figure adorned in bronze as the sun rises over a large fortress situated adjacent to a large cave system. The twisted iron gates open for the stranger as if they expected his arrival. Ascending the various stairwells and pathways, the figure arrives in a hall, facing a High Elf man wearing a rather intricate set of silver armor. The High Elf would be sitting in a trivial wooden throne with other armored figures standing next to him. Stopping several meters from the throne, the visitor positions his hand on the hilt of the blade sheathed at his side. The High Elf man would start to speak, muttering slightly.

    "Counselor, many thanks to you for arriving so quickly. Many shall benefit from the strategy you possess". The stranger responds in a distorted voice.

    "The Inquisitorius does not condone the religious etiquette in which you constantly flatter your people with. Perhaps you could abandon your pitiful ways and assume positions in these lands which would squander the enemy. Or are you too concerned about public opinion?"

    Wrinkling his nose, the High Elf stands up, quickly approaching the Counselor. His shaky hand rubbing the pommel of his sheathed saber, the man retorts.

    "The people are the fuel in this great flame of battle. They give us our supplies, our footman and quarters during these rough times. I will not allow some philosophical zealot to tell me about how much faith I put in people."

    Unsheathing his blade, the high elf gets himself into a defensive position. Cackling slightly, the Counselor steps back slightly. 

    "You young rulers know not of how to respond to ambassadors such as myself. I declared parle before entering this very castle, meaning you can not take arms against me. Henceforth, I remove you from your position as Chancellor."

    The Counselor sighs, unsheathing his blade. Swiftly, the stranger slashes out at the Chancellor's stomach before he can react. The High Elf gasps, letting his saber fall to the ground. His stomach-area begins to swell with crimson blood as his bowels seep onto the limestone floors. The Counselor turns around, abruptly leaving the premise. Outside, the sun fades behind a cloud as the stranger walks down the stairs of the fortress.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

     

         These beings are direct natives to the Isles of Axios and were originally not anthropomorphic. When the Daemon Metzli was testing out her abilities to make creatures capable of speech and other more sentient features, she did so on the various apes who lived in Axios. The first of the Hou-Zi to emerge was Hou-Shen, the jade-crowned prophet of the other untouched apes in the isles. Hou-Shen was a great leader and obeyed Metzli. The social structure at the time was with Hou-Shen at the top with his various sons, the leader of the Fei-Zhu (Hou-Da), the leader of the Hei-Zhu (Hou-Xia) and the leader of the Laobai-Zhu (Hou-Wang). Their democracy was composed of the Shi Council, composed of various Hou-Zi lords. During a period in which How-Shen explored the rest of the isles, poised to conquer more land for his master, Metzli, he encountered the elves of Malin. Without negotiation or treaty, the Hou-Zi started a war with Malin and his elven breathren,  giving command of his armies and capital cities to his sons. Unfortunately, Hou-Shen was killed in battle while in an offensive tactic on the elven city of Malinor. The elves gained an advantage in his death, taking much of the race's land. The Hou-Zi retreated and went into hiding. Malin was pleased with their destruction, continuing his rule. Metzli soon became enraged, using her powers yet again to give life back to Hou-Shen. He and his sons rebuilt their empire, this time without a single, united enemy to stand in their way. As time went on, they formed treaties with the elves, letting them stay in one islet off of Ceru. During their time in the island, they fell to war with each other over possesion and  greed with many of the noble families funding and creating conflicts. How-Shen lost power and let the Council destroy itself. The empire was vanquished by their own quarrels while Metzli abandoned them to create the various races of Kharajyr. The people now live scattered, no longer believing in Metzli and depicting her as a demon who doomed them. Much of these shortcomings were attributed to the ancient god, Poison, who released a red, misty toxin onto the Hou-Zi, killing thousands and crushing the civilization.The Great Poison was tasked at bringing down any civilizations and began with the Hou-Zi. The society has reawakened into the Isles since.
