@verriberri In the describe this magic as a whole section, please delve alot further into explaining this magic given the new lore that has passed. This includes the new exhaustion, mental/physical effects, and explaining further on what this magic could do.

in the subsection area, please delve ALOT further into the various abilities, especially since there there are newer ones to describe now.

hi sorry!! just asking for clarification, for the subsections i need to expand on the new abilities of blight healing, or the abilities of druidism's submagics as a whole?

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Blight Healing

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Blight Healing is a gift of druidism that can be learned upon reaching tier three of the main magic. The user is to learn how to invoke their mists and feed their energy from their own mana pool to restore plant and/or animal life. This primarily is to heal the land or animals of blight, usually received via voidal magic,  though can also be used to heal lands from fires, reinvigorate dead forests or cleanse polluted waters.

As with any magical ability, the user will eventually become exhausted when using the abilities, as mana and energy do not last forever and are not infinite, especially depending on the abilities used and what radius- if the maximum for your tier is used, then the user is to feel extreme exhaustion. Most Blight Healing gifts cannot be used in combat, so those that can have a limited amount of times they can be used, ranging between a minimum of once per two days, to a maximum of once per week.

Once this energy is drained, it replenishes itself in an IRL hour, but only if they are properly resting and not continuing to work. If they do not get proper rest after exhausting themself, it will take an IRL day to replenish their energy instead of an hour.

Mastering blight healing takes on multiple effects on the mind and body, such as looking constantly exhausted, more aged, having insomnia, migraines, or even hearing minor auditory hallucinations that are thought to be voices from nature.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Of Blight Healing, there are no subsections. Technically Blight Healing itself is a subsection under the whole of druidism, since you need regular druidism to be able to practice this magic- of which there are many other submagics and feats, including communion abilities, control abilities, infusion abilities, herblore, etc.

The specific abilities of blight healing are vast, as they are a large part of druidism as a culture and magic.

The first is blooming, which can revitalize and give life and color to possibly wilting flora, and is the first stepping stone to learning how the exchange of life force is done between druid and nature to heal. This ability takes a total of four emotes to complete, and cannot be done in combat.

The second is fertilizing, which takes a part of previously dead or nutrient-deficient soil or land and replenishes the soil to fertilize it and properly assist it in preparation to grow new life on a now healthy earth. This ability takes a total of four emotes to complete, and cannot be done in combat.

Regeneration is a newer  ability that allows the user to heal animals and even fae of wounds they've received, and ease their pain so they do not become infected. While the process itself my be uncomfortable, ultimately it would assist and give the target creature relief of their injury by closing it all together. This ability takes four emotes to complete, and cannot be used in combat.

Cleansing is an ability that combines two previously separate gifts, purging and cleansing. Its purpose is to clear the surrounding flora, water or even fauna of a taint on the land, be it of the void, pollution, or other forms of either magical or natural blight. This ability takes a total of five emotes to complete, and cannot be used in combat.

Awakening is considered a more advanced gift, and its uses are akin to enchanting an item- the druid will imbue their energy into the staff and infuse it with a certain control or communion gift, typically into a staff, to not only have something to leave behind as their legacy, but as an assistance to their duties. These items require an MArt application, and are mostly used for flavor rp. They become sentient after 5 IRL months, and eventually gain a sort of personality of their own. This ability has no maximum emote count, but takes a minimum of three, and cannot be used in combat.

Decay is a newer ability, used when a druid has decided that a clean slate would be more beneficial to nature and its development than simply healing the land, and brings it to a peaceful death free of pain or suffering. This ability takes four emotes to complete, and cannot be used in combat.

Grasping is vast gift that creats a large area (8 block radius) of sanctuary for nature and for a druid to protect nature in even the harshest of circumstances. It purges and cleanses anything within the area of effect, and brings once dead plantlife back to life if in the radius of the spell. This ability can only be cast once per encounter and once every three days, takes four emotes to cast, and is a combative spell.

Sealing is another newer ability in which, when a blight cannot be cleansed, druids undergo a ritual in order to instead quarantine the blighted area away so not to spread and effect the surrounding nature. It takes up to three druids and four emotes total to complete, and leaves each druid drained and exhausted. It can only be performed once a week, and the performing druids must know powersharing in order to perform it. It is a primarily event based spell, and is up to the leading ST or ET member to decide whether or not it is successful. It is a combative spell.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

Suika steps up to the large, old tree before her. Burned in a forest fire, hanging on to a thread of life. She'd bring up her hand to it, looking around to the damaged land, and sighs- opening up her connection to nature. Deciding to finally let it rest- a clean slate was what this forest needed, a fresh start, to let the ecosystem truly restart and grow anew.

Beginning to invoke her mists, her aura would brighten- spectral horn and tail in a sparkly lilac aura brightening, her ankles and wrists taking upon an aura to make it look as though tufts of fur hung around them. Humming quietly- a vaguely, almost random tune, the red kuila crystal hanging upon her staff beginning to glow dimly along with her connection. Slim fingers running along the charred and dying bark of the poor tree, a look of sadness on her face.

The same sparkly lilac mist would begin to swirl around the spectral horn- down her head, falling down her cheek, almost akin to a tear rolling down from the corner of her eye, before she'd bring her hand up to guide the mist towards her main target, the large, old tree. The humming would continue, a sorrowful sound. As the mist would grow, and slowly shift and swirl about the dying tree before her.

Soon it enveloped the poor tree- reaching the top, the mist would wash over it like a gentle rain, engulfing it for only a brief moment as it extracts its final, weak bits of energy, letting it sleep. The mist would fade, and dissipate, leaving upon the now dead tree sitting there a sparkling like morning dew, gentle and lovely. Before that, too, faded away. Suika would close her connection, slumping into her staff. Her humming would cease, and she'd replace it with a gentle murmur. "... Rest now, poor dear. You'll suffer no longer."

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Suika would open up her connection to nature, gesturing to a couple of wilted flowers before her and her student. "... This is the first step to learning how to heal the lands, ti? You'll want to invoke your mists- It's a bit different than a normal connection. And once you have done this, you'll guide them to the flora you wish to heal, such as the flowers before us now. I shall demonstrate, and you follow along, ti?"

She'd invoke her mists- unicorn horn and tail made of her sparkly, lilac aura shining as she'd gesture to her student- as if waiting for them to do the same, then gesturing to the wilted flowers. "... The flowers before us are a bit weak. What this gift does is to revitalize them, fill them a bit more with life. As if I were to give an injured person who'd lost blood something with blood lotus in it- to nourish."

A nod comes from the Archdruid, and she'd smile gently. "... Well done. Now, once you have these mists gathered, guide them to what you are healing- give it your energy, similarly to how you would if you were to be growing a plant." She'd once more begin to demonstrate- her lilac, sparkling mists swirling about and from her hand, and towards one of the wilting flowers before her. Humming quietly to herself, a random tune.

The humming would pause, and she'd briefly flick her gaze to her student as they kept up with her. Smiling still, and nodding. "... Very good. Almost done..." she'd murmur- her own flower slowly becoming enveloped in the lilac mist, and once the color faded, was left with a sparkle like morning dew after a fresh overnight rain- the flower being returned to its perky, colorful little self. Refreshed. "... There we are. The flower is now revitalized, with new life. I'd like you to practice this when you're able, ti? It's important you understand how the transfer of energy works for you to be able to properly understand the rest of your blight healing gifts."

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I'll always have almost zero tolerance for powergaming. I'll do my best to make sure the redlines of abilities are understood and if i find out that they have powergamed on purpose, knowing these redlines I will drop them as a student. I understand mistakes happen, if there is an accident where they misread something or misremembered something and fix their mistake, then it's fine. But I absolutely will not tolerate anyone blatantly ignoring the redlines and rules of abilities.

oh no!!! my healing ability!! cus u guys leave ur settlements enough to get injured in the first place

don’t like druidism but this looks cool, good job @WestCarolina

it wasn't an ability to heal other people, it's to heal nature. the entire point of druidism is that they can heal nature and the blights infected on the land. druids were never able to heal other people unless they were made out of plants.

Lastly you're not disagreeing with the bias of combat oriented abilities vs healing aspects. Multiple people have expressed an upset that we feel the healing aspects are being pushed to the side, unlike the combat abilities are given vague and low attention information. You might not use the healing abilities very often, your group might not use them as much, but there are other Druids who do and are very active in them and would like to see them grow. Not pushed back.

coming back one more time to agree with kit here- i think a really big aspect of this entire rewrite is that it feels like primarily benefits one specific branch of druids and casts aside the rest, and wasn't written with the other players of druidism in mind that are not battle / hunting heavy. i'm not saying that it wasn't done with everybody in mind, but i'm saying that's what it feels like, and i feel like a rewrite of this nature shouldn't take away something that there is already not very great access to in the first place, and these concerns are feeling very ignored which makes it feel as much even more.

So now second post! I've had time to really look over the lore and I'm equally pleased and bothered by this piece, here's why~

I'm grateful for the plethora of skills that were terribly redundant to be grouped together, I agree we had too many abilities that did exactly the same thing just slightly nuanced. This makes it much easier to understand and keep track of and far far less lessons for each ability.

That being said I need to cover some other topics:

Guidiance, on this one everything seems good till you get to combat scenario. It takes line of sight, which is both good and bad in my opinion. Druids have never needed line of sight to know where something is, take for example roots. If I'm stuck underground trapped and I cant see the roots that are all around me, is this saying I cannot use them to tunnel out because I cannot see them? Or do I just have to stare at the 'dirt' in which I know roots are threaded through? Some clarification would be good.

Druidic Limbs, with the one I'm only confused about the creation. Before we would need to use Awakening to bring the dead wood back to life, which on one hand was confusing because blooming did that as well, but it looks like it's specifically an enchantment for druidic limb function in passive. Some clarification on that would be nice.

Restoration, one of my biggest concerns. It seems to take a large step back from the previous Purging/Beastpurge/Cleansing in that it's been nerphed down horribly.
Why at T5 can I only go 10 blocks from the previous at best 15? Fertilizing is a 15 block radius, why can this one not be? Other magics can reach way way father then that, and can do it instantly. It also doesn't specify if we can move or not, when previously we were able to slowly move forwards while casting.
Druids have been a large support class and this feels like the shortened range and unclear on whether or not how easily it is to disrupt feels like a step back. On top of that it says the source of blight can still spread meaning we cant use this to cleanse it? So then what's the point if a Necro can blight a tree (the source), and it can keep spreading and we have to what...chop it down? It makes no sense we cannot use this ability to purge the source of the spread, just the offset. It feels like the healing aspects/peaceful druid types got pushed to the back as there is far more attack and combat related abilities then peaceful/support abilities now then ever before.
Some clarification would be good please.

Luonto, I do not understand why it's a 'passive' and yet has to be taught? It's an Rp aspect at best and it requires a lesson to learn, that to me is bloat for lessons. I think it should be an auto learn like it was prior.

Barkskin, I need some clarification. Why does it take two druids with the knowledge to teach it? Why cant it be just one? It's saying also that the ritual is performed as a means to teach and demonstrate, but what about a T5 Druid that already knows it? Do they need two other Druids to help put new bark on them, or can they do it themselves? Clarification please.

Mending, the only issue I have with this is why not animals? Once again we have an ability that works on people, non druids, and druids but not animals? Why? What makes them different then a person? As a Druid they are a part of nature and again get the short end of the stick, because another ability doesn't include something we're supposed to be able to help. I would like to see more abilities being able to aid animals, who are part of nature unlike people, and to add in that they can also be mended. I do not see any reason why animals specifically are excluded when their flesh is the same kind of flesh others have.
And if the argument is that they wont hold still? We can pacify animals and I can certainly use a normal bandage on them, but you're telling me they wont sit still for me to put a leaf bandage? Makes no sense, clarification please.

I'm really upset at the loss of Grasping. Once more healing/peaceful druids are losing out to combat related abilities, and now one of our best abilities that doubled as a new Infusion is being pushed out. It was a great anti-dark magic barrier ability, and it gave hope to those Druids that want to do less fight and more support that they have something major they could do. I would like to see it re-added or at least give us an equivalent ability that boosts the healing side of Druids. Especially since in the redlines it says we can be disrupted by literally someone throwing rocks at us. Another issue is that again as it was pointed out, a lot of the time we're called to heal and fix places that we cant because we're just not strong enough.

In conclusion, I hope a buff to the more healing/peaceful aspects of this rewrite because in various places they got nerphed while the combat warrior class got a serious boost. Druids were meant to be equally both but this feels more leaning towards the other, though I am very grateful at the combination of the redundant abilities.

huge +1 on this post, big agree. AS one of the more passive + peaceful druids that focus more on healing, if this was sent through i'd feel extremely demotivated to continue with drudism as a whole. i do enjoy more self defense, but i dont see why it has to come at the expense of something we already dont have enough of.
