I'm all for hearing your criticisms and reasons why you don't want this accepted. And if it's simply for a lore bloat you don't like it, that's fine. Give me a little more, you know? I'm willing to hear anything out and if it makes enough sense and can't really be debated, I'll have the thread deleted.

it is lore bloat. there are like 900000000 different magics and they can barely keep track of it as it is. people dont know what you can and cannot do with magics that have existed for years and its a constant source of grief and honestly just makes rp more boring. why add even more complexity ontop of an already steaming pile of magical ****? at what point does it stop? will you just keep bloatmaxxing magics until every user who's had it for a few months is demi-god status and every single subtype of magic is some sort of combat magic that is trying to outdo other types in terms of combat usefulness? this just seems like another example of the magical lore arms race mages seem to be doing in order to become THE lord of the craft.

all im saying is that i dont think we need yet another addition to the magical conglomerate of assfuckery which envelops every single aspect of lotc as already is.

    stop doing magic.

Have you held a staff position before?

Yes. I was a member of the event team.

Do you currently hold a staff position?

    No.

Do you plan on applying for other staff positions?

     No.

Have you ever been banned before? If so, how long ago and what reason?

     I have not been banned.

What style of events do you feel you enjoy creating? (Low Fantasy, High Fantasy, Quests, Dungeons, etc.)

Grimdark Low Fantasy with a horror atmosphere, often inspired by traditional folklore is my preferred style, but I can be pretty versatile if it is required.

List three factors you feel play a part in a quality event and expand upon them.

Atmosphere/Aesthetic: I feel like this is honestly the most important part of most events. An atmosphere can make or break what you're trying to do. Its what really makes the players feel immersed and on the edge of their seats. This can be achieved through builds, mood music, timing and just the language of emotes.

Difficulty: In my opinion, difficult events provide a lot more character development than easy events, where the players are the heros who always win at the end of the day. If someone makes a bad decision ICly, I will fully deliver the consequences, even if it means the death of the character. In my opinion, this adds a lot more weight to events and makes them way more memorable. Despite this, I am always sure to be FAIR. If people are smart and prepared, they will most likely defeat whatever foes or obstacles face them. At the same time, difficulty requires the players to have a variety of choices they can make, which will either make things a lot easier or result in their deaths.

Plot: A reason is always required. Things don't happen out of the blue, and when I'm not doing spontaneous events I like to make the story deeper and more personal than another defeat the bad guys and win story, though that is also fine, depending on what the player wants. The plot should be easy at the start, but grow more complex and nuanced as more is discovered about the event.

Which member(s) of the team would you attempt to emulate and why?

Probably Grimreaper and Ebonsquire, if anybody.

Provide three event scenarios, in total, of the style(s) you listed above:

Scenario 1: The Piper of Little Windham

A small town in a wild and untamed wilderness has been reporting cases of missing children. It is remote, and the players must journey through a seamingly peaceful yet dense wood to reach it. Upon reaching the hamlet, the villagers are extremely distrustful and xenophobic.

After convincing the tavern-keeper to give them a more detailed idea about what is occurring, the players learn that at first, the town had a rat infestation... A man claiming to be a rat catcher appeared seemingly out of the blue, offering to take care of the rat problem. After making the deal, the piper blew his flute and the rats all followed him out of the town. The town underwent a period of prosperity, lacking disease or pests.

Having completed his task, the piper returned to claim his pay, yet the distrustful mayor refused to pay him in full sum. The piper stormed off angrily, vowing revenge.

Some time passed, before the piper returned during a festival celebrating a good harvest. The piper blew his flute, and all of the children in town, save a few, were taken into the wilderness, never to be seen again... At least until the players venture to find out what occurred.

Scenario 2: The Troll under the Bridge

A player stumbles across a wagon stopped just prior to crossing a bridge, it has many fancy wares within. A man with a blue turban and a long black beard steps out, seeming distressed. He explains that he cannot cross the bridge, as a troll guards it and requires a toll. The greedy merchant refuses to pay. The player has options. He can either try and kill the troll, pay the toll, or try and get the wagon across the bridge before the troll can prevent it from crossing. All three will result in wildly different outcomes.

Scenario 3: The Black Goat of Drumclog Moss

A player ventures into a swampy wilderness, having heard a child crying in the distance. He would see a black goat staring at him and not moving. The cries continue, leading them deeper and deeper into the swamp, until they are fully lost. The goat follows him.

The cries of the baby fade away as night falls, and they are left in the middle of the swamp without light or supplies. As they try to make their way back from where they came, they would see a fire in the distance. Once they get closer, they would hear chanting, and would see multiple incredibly ugly women preparing the baby for sacrifice.

The player will then likely try to prevent the ritual or will be spooke and forced to find himself back through the wilderness, where I would RP the harsh environment and natural obstacles he faces. Or he will defeat the women and prevent the ritual, in which case he will have to fight the apparent witches and their strange magics. The player, when fighting the group, will have to be smart, for if he takes too long the babe will still die, making his efforts useless, or he will simply be destroyed by their eldricht magics.

Assuming the latter route is taken and the player is successful, the Goat would offer him a deal; The babe in exchange for the player to be healed completely and sent back to civilisation. If he chooses to take the deal, the baby is taken by the black goat and he is teleported back to where he started, with no wounds. If the player decides to try and save the babe by running back through the wilderness with it, he would be attacked by the goat and cursed with bad luck for the duration of the event, making navigating the wilderness twice as hard.

Why do you wish to become an ET Actor Member?

Because I was one before and still have eventlines to finish. I also simply enjoy being an ET actor.

What strengths would you bring to the team?

My skills at improvisation and plot building, as well as my dedication to providing character development to the community.

    What are your weaknesses?

I can get burnt out if I do too many events

How much time could you give to this position in the foreseeable future?

Alot. Uni term is about to end
