Born during 1543, in Vivec, to two Dark Elves, Maile was not the only child. However, unlike the curse of infertility would suggest - Forren was not born decades prior or after Maile. He was an identical twin. Maile and Forren were inseparable; constantly at each other's side, the two would often be seen saving the other's back - whether it was carrying the other home after they got hurt, or aiding to win an argument. Despite this, the pair were almost polar opposites - Maile was boisterous and naive, often letting curiosity get the best of him, and not thinking before doing or saying something. Forren on the other hand was quiet, polite, and preferred to read up on something before exploring it. However, one day in 1561, Forren was awake late at night, still reading, until something startled him. After hearing a scream, Maile went out to explore, bringing with him a dagger. Seeing a silhouette, he lunged, plunging the dagger into the silhouette's chest. It was Forren. Forren, in his last breaths pushed the book to Maile, and murmured "I don't hate you... but right now I don't want to love you". Those words have stuck with Maile since that day - the day he murdered his brother, the day he ran away, and the day he became someone new. Since that day, Maile has lived solely to become the protagonist of what was written in that book, acquiring the same clothing style, weapons, mannerisms, personality, and even going to the lengths of giving himself the same eye gauge. To claim these items he has had to travel to many lands - all across The Isles of Vailor, and eventually he arrived to Axios, and then Atlas - where he now resides, hoping to find his next item.
