Born in Lorraine in 1623 as part of a pair of twins, alongside Rion Serene. His childhood was spent in heavy secrecy, filled with strict traditions and regular lessons. From the age of twelve to fifteen he was bedridden due to a foul fever, and spent most of the years that followed regaining his strength and retraining a body that had forgotten it's former skills. In his youth he spent much time avoiding lessons and spending time with his siblings, preferring to joyfully ignore his duties rather than attend lessons, however this changed radically after he developed a sickness and was forced to spend more time inside. He became withdrawn and quiet, growing distant from those around him and spending more time with his nose buried in whatever books he could get his hands on. When he was most sick he spent more time asleep than awake and was rarely strong enough to socialize with others, and when he overcame his illness he lacked the social skills to rejoin those he had once been close to. So, while no longer to weak to do anything with others he had simply grown accustomed to his own company, continuing to read alone for most of his free time, but also becoming fond of archery and some other crafts his views as mere hobbies. He's become rather skilled in both archery and swordsmanship, but is in no way an expert.
