I'm genuinely impressed at how good faith this is, and how much coordination it must've taken. This is unheard of 90% of the time, and I'm super happy to see it. Fantastic job to everyone involved, but especially the leadership of both sides.

The Martyred Last Patriarch of Jorenus gave a slight grin and a big thumbs-up to the carrionism of his peoples from the Skies. He was pleased they hadn't forgotten about his sacrifice and duty to the Raev.

In the skies, the soul of a dear old friend, one whose life had been cut abruptly short, one who was denied the decades the De Senna had outlived him, waited patiently for the spirit of the couple he once had married to arrive. He had many choice words for the erstwhile Archchancellor, but few of them were harsh. He thought he was a decent man, serving a rotten machine. Still, despite the sordid name of Burgundy, and the Holy Imperium, Ledicort seemed still like an honest, reliable, good-humoured man. The hours they'd spent in Curial meetings, the times they sat quietly upon the rooftops of Lemon Hill, the hushed voices they murmured with as they argued and bickered over the fates of kingdoms in those meetings, seemed at once so close yet impossibly distant. Fond and foul memories in equal measure, but memories worth recalling. "O' Ledi, mea old friend. Twas I who stood between you and Helena, and spake those sacred oaths. Twas I who stood before the Tabernacle and welcomed you into the brotherhood of the temple. And now, my final duty to you is complete. Welcome. Rest."

Indeed, the Lord-Chancellor and his Exchequerial colleague had occasionally bickered. Though both were sophisticated men, the former valued decorum, procedure, civility and courtesy far more than the latter-- the more economic, liberal minded treasurer. Still, the Margrave of Schwyz wept for his beloved and treasured comrade-in-governance. He shed a tear for the loss of such a devoted and excellent bureaucrat and leal servant of the lands of Alba. "Poor George, Gott rest his wayward soul. We shall steward what you can no longer, we shall bear witness to the years you left us behind. We shall excel where you excelled before, and we shall, most of all, bear the pain and shame of such an unmistakable tragedy."
-
The Leal Magrave of Schwyz read the annals of a great historian to his family around the fire. "They Plunder, they Butcher, they ravish and they call it the lying name 'Empire'. Ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant." He spoke, a soft rasp in his voice, reciting the flexio with the precision of a well-tutored laymen. "They make a desert, and call it peace."

"..Grandvater..." Parzival repeated that word to himself in slight astonishment. He could hardly believe it was the truth, but he could not be happier that it was.
-
The Cardinal Ancestor of the Anathema Daemon frowned from the Skies. He was going to ask for a Smiting miracle from Godan.... "Godan, intercede for this sinner, and correct his foolish behaviours, lest he tarnish mea pious kins' name further.."

Salutations and Ostentatious greetings, fellow Albans. In the due course of keeping the goodly folk of Alba apprised of the ongoings within their home, and with all due course to be transparent in the notable ongoings of the treasury department, the Office of the Lord Exchequer is pleased to announce the first of the Bi-annual Treasury Gazette. This publication, ceterus parabius, shall be issued on the first day of every second week; it shall include economic updates, a listing of available properties currently for sale, and a reminder of any ongoing initiatives that are still underway. On this most auspicious day of the First Gazette, I am pleased to bring forth two announcements: Firstly, as our blessed Archduchy continues to grow, thrive, and prosper, the Treasury has been instructed to offer a fantastic opportunity to the goodly citizens of St. Godwinsburg. Our city has been beset by a most foul curse; a pernicious pathway plague, an ailment of alleys, a sickness of streets; the names of our roads are quite tawdry, and excite no excitement within the foot-traffic and passerbys. Thus, it has been decided that an AUCTION for the right to rename various streets within the goodly Alban Capital is hereby announced. Gather thy coppers, silvers and gold, pile them tall and wide! Purchase the right to contribute to thy city, and rename one of the various streets. A date, pursuant to a sensible polling of availability, will be announced in due time. The following streets will be up for offer at this auspicious Auction. A date will be announced soon! STREETS' NAMES TO BE SOLD I. Oak Street II. Future Burough Street #1 III. Future Burough Street #2 Secondly, I hereby announce the Archducal Archive Fund. It is my personal, and the Archduchy’s belief that preservation of our history and all tomes worthy of reading should be accompanied by a complimentary reward to donors. Thus, in conjunction with the Office of the Lady-Mayor, the Fund will begin dispersing monetary rewards for all individuals who contribute works worthy of preservation. FUND REWARD STRUCTURE Per Unique Book to the Archive - 5 Mina No person may receive more than 50 mina for their total contributions, to prevent greed and the submission of unnecessary items. Please contact the Lady-Mayor to submit items. Current Vacancies Herein is a list of the present vacant properties available for residents to move into, or engage in lawful economic enterprise therein. The New Margrave wept for several days and nights. He would have to find answers and find the strength he needed elsewhere now.
-
"Is there a single sane person left in Rittersburg?" Parzival mumbled, utterly beguiled by the pure madness of this missive.
-
"Papicide then," he shrugged. "What else could we possibly expect? I think I shall 'Kill myself' next, for there is truly nothing holy nor virtuous left in this world." He chuckled at the missive, as he tossed it into the smoldering embers of his fireplace. "That'll be fixed in time. GOD comes for us all, Hadrian. You can't avoid the Dirge of the Damned forever. You can only clasp thy hands upon thy ears, and screech, as you have; drown out the haunting melody, but a song unheard is not a song unsung." Parzival lit a cigar. Hadrian was right about one thing; there wasn't a single man who could be trusted anymore.
-
"Finally, the Church is slipping out from the oppressive, sickly boot of the Imperium. I pray it is not cowed by whatever happens next." Parzival gleefully smiled. "Hadrian never had the mandate of GOD, but this as close as we'll get I suppose, to true justice."
