  1. In a forest a woman wandered. Her name now irrevocably tied to a choice.
No more would she ask her kin to sacrifice. No longer would she lead her brothers and sisters to avoidable death.

Yet her hammer was not set aside, her shield not hung upon the wall. If they chose to fight, it would be their own choice.

Just as to keep going was her own.

A gleaming ring sat upon the woman's finger. An oath born of ages long past, to be honored still.

She would ask no others to follow her. But into the Titan's flame she would delve yet again. Til death take her, or the shadow cast ever aside by Holy Light.

  3. He called her sister. That boy did. Her. Sister. A woman so many times his age she could have been his great grandmother at least seven times over, likely more. It was a strange thing to hear the title Sister from one so young. Yet there was some reassurance in that. Some odd comfort not felt for decades or more. The pain and suffering, the loss and heartbreak which twisted and changed her over the years wasn't seen by that boy.

He was so different from the elves. He didn't see someone centuries older. He didn't see someone bent by age and sacrifice. He saw a young woman. Full of promise, full of strength. A woman whose body and soul he viewed as worth protecting.

She was there, when he took his last breath. Yet she couldn't watch it. She didn't dare. That boy who called her Sister, that boy who brought a smile to her eyes, he wasn't the body there on that bench.

He was the boy who laughed and ran around the square. He was the boy who asked questions on every new thing he saw. He was the boy with the gentle hands, who sought to care for and protect every vulnerable thing he saw. He was the boy whose bravery and strength brought him so far, he died amongst the stars.

He was the boy who would always be a Friend.
He was the boy who would always be her Brother.
Ezequiel was the Man who would never be forgotten.

  4. Across the realm a sharp pang ripped through a woman's soul. A gaping wound ripped through her, to never heal. The pain to be carried always, a reminder of the soul lost.
    Warrior. Father. Student. Friend. Brother.

War. A totem which meant darkness, strife, and loss to most. Yet as soon as he had spoken it, it brought hope to her. He was a man who did not falter. Did not yield. He fought, until there was nothing left to fight. Or until there was no fight left to give. An inspiration for a woman who so often faltered in her own steps. Who wondered if it was worth the price....
That sorrow echoed through her now. War had come, and War had gone. His last fight fought until the very end. No longer would he counsel or comfort her. No longer would his steady presence help bring reassurance and calm when all seemed at its worst.

    Warrior. Father. Student. Friend. Brother.
    Brother...
He would always be her brother. His words would not leave her, even as his spirit departed to another realm. Though she was the guide, it was he who often taught her. His love and strength would not be forgotten.
Sanguine eyes burned. Anguish and triumph, joy and rage. A myriad of emotion fighting to be heard, to be seen.

Armor clad she ventured across the lands. Warhammer at her side.
    War would not be forgotten.
Her brother would not be forgotten.
Taliyun'Orrir Sirame would not be forgotten.
His strength leant itself to her now.
    He could fight no longer.

So she picked up the hammer in his stead...

When the news made its way into the wilds, the woman oft called 'The Mountain' turned to the trees. When her mother had fallen, there was siblings all around to offer comfort and support. Taliyun was one of them.

Now it was he they mourned, and she stood alone. Her ventures had carried her too far, away from the warmth of her family. And now, now there was no goodbye. No parting hug for her beloved brother. The hulking woman gathered up her tools and set out. Leaving the wilds she'd dwelled in for so long to find her brother's resting place, and ensure he wasn't alone as he crossed to the Forest.

Her stoic soul would not allow tears to be shed. Her silent, lonely walk offering no comfort for the ache that settled deep within her chest. Icy eyes set ever forward as Mordun Sirame finally made her way back home.

  5. A small fiery haired woman squinted at the page. Then turning on her heel she ran all the way back to her home. Without consulting the other, quickly penning a response which she'd soon send off back to Alfie via a plump pigeon.

    Spoiler

    "Alfie,
Of course we'll be willing to take the kids! We have plenty of room. Especially if some of them still prefer sleeping in nests on the floor to beds. Don't worry, we'll keep them safe. And make sure they don't get into too much trouble.

Be careful with the demon, and make sure it doesn't burn down too much. Keep safe, and feel free to visit!

    Valmir agrees with me.
    Love you and Cruinne!

Between aviaries, a bird would swoop low, dropping the letter to a certain druid. A quick scan of the contents had a grim smile showing upon her features. At the next town, a response would be sent.

While I cannot speak with certainty for my brother, I have very little doubt that he will be as willing as I to help you with this matter. No payment is necessary. It will be a pleasure to help destroy such a creature. In this and the other matters you've mentioned, I pledge my aid.

  6. A woman sat in the corner of the tavern. Somber expression set, near enough a scowl. In her hand sat a small piece of oak. Carefully she whittled away at it to reveal the form of a wolf. Mutters fell from her lips. Spoken for the benefit of none save herself. A litany of names...then a pause. "Yours will not be added, princess. When I get my hands on Haldir..." Cursing under her breath, the blade was allowed to slice through her hand. Ichor pooling in the gash to be smeared across the lupine totem. "Even this warden won't be able to save that boy."

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Zar'eika, though commonly called Zezimar, are a twisted abomination of the hells. Created by Naztherak, their purposes vary but the False Princes often use them as soldiers for protection or offensive attacks. Made from what were once descendants, they have high intelligence but are incapable of most emotion. Warped and twisted away from their mortal state, their goals and view of the world will be entirely shifted into a twisted, hateful, self serving and ever hungry mess.
Created by a Naztherak, they will be bound by them and added to their personal court. Bound to the Naz and having to obey their commands. Twisted as they are, and due to the violent and often deceitful means of their creation, the Zezimar is likely to look for any means to use loopholes to circumvent orders from the Naz. They cannot outright refuse them, but they are able to twist things around. Their goal is not to serve the Naz, but to consume souls to empower themselves. If working with the Naz will enable that, they'll do so. However, if it hinders it, the Zezimar is all the more likely to try to find ways to work around the orders of their False Prince.

There are three types of Zezimar that can be created by a Naztherak. Each has their own specific physicality, abilities, and usage to the Naztherak. All however share a few traits. They're incapable of dying from age, though do gradually take on an ashy appearance and their hellish fires start waning with time. They all suffer from a severe weakness to holy magics. Easily burned with an agonizing pain should they be touched by things such as Xannic mists or a Cleric's light. They are carnivorous and need to feast on mortal flesh, though this can be either from an animal or a descendant. Should they fail to consume flesh and rely more on plants, their physical form will begin to weaken and wane. They are only at their peak when well fed on flesh. Whatever armor they bear naturally, made of chiton, bone, or another substance, can be broken and chipped by weapons when struck. It is not impervious and cannot be used to replace plate.

As for the types themselves and their differences, they are as follows:
Malda - This is the mage type of Zezimar. They are the weakest of the three types with a max weight of 150 lbs and height of no more than 6 ft. With a larger pool of maleus and a greater knowledge of spells, they are useful for ranged attacks at the side of the Naztherak. Comparable to a voidal mage, but evil, they tend to use their minds more than brute force or physical prowess to improve their position. They have access to malflame spells between tiers 1 and 4, 6 spells in total.
Kozun - This type of Zezimar fits the knight archetype. They are stronger than a Malda, being able to weigh about 300 lbs and reach heights of 7 ft. Still intelligent and willing to utilize such in a fight, they are likely to utilize fighting tactics and formations common in the ranks of trained soldiers. Their Maleus store is more limited than that of a Malda, and they have only 3 Malflame spells they can utilize. A good middleground for the Zezimar, able to hold their own physically but not quite so limited in regards to Malflame as the brute.
Rakaal - The final type of Zezimar fills the brute or barbarian archetype. With the lowest Maleus count of the three, they rely on their massive size and strength to get their job done. Being able to reach heights of 8 ft and weights of 400 lbs, they're on par with orcish warriors regardless of their previous descendant race. They are limited to just two spells with their Malflame, and therefore are unlikely to use it in combat. Relying more on armor, weapons, and proper physical close ranged combat to overpower their foes.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

Akno Alzkark is a Rakaal, a brute type Zezimar. As such it is a hulking mass of muscle and bone which is larger than all but those of an Orcish nature. It still bears the bipedal form it held when a descendant, with no extra limbs or appendages. The creature's head has warped and twisted. Devoid of outer flesh, it bears a smooth, bone like appearance. Horns of bone curl out and forward from it. Eyes set far back, peering from the corners of its maw rather than proper sockets. This gives this creature the appearance of being eyeless. The jaw itself bears no cheeks or extra tissue at the sides, much like the maw of a lizard. Filled with sharp, jagged teeth and a long, coiling tongue, this would further add to the image of a skinned, horned lizard.

Its body is one large, solid mass. Well muscled and covered in a thick layer of hard, scaled skin. Each hand bears sharp talons. Small, thorn like spikes protrude from it in patches. Reeking of sulfur and rotting flesh, it breathes out cinders and ashes with every heaving breath. The horns and skull are only as strong as normal bone and can be broken by a weapon's strike. The flesh, though scaly, is no more protective than a snake's skin.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Druidic Transcendence

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Druidic Transcendence is considered one of the most sacred gifts for druids. It is an ability which connects the druid's soul in a very special manner to the Fae realm. This connection between the attuned druid and the Fae realm causes a bleed of the realm into the druid, their gifts, and their mind and body. As such, it ends up allowing them not only access to special, Fae inspired spells and abilities in regard to the Fae realm - and the druids or Fae that reside within - but certain changes take place within the character themselves. Due to the extreme nature of the connection, they must bear certain shifts and alterations to their mental state as their mind and soul are now more clearly torn between the mortal realm and the Fae realm. In addition, their physical forms undergo changes as well. Fae appearances bleeding over onto the druid's body as they grow more attuned to that other worldly place, its influence creating visual tells through animalistic or plant like changes or other natural phenomenon making alterations to them. These changes, afflictions or blessings depending on perspective, grow steadily stronger and more notable as the druid's connection to the Fae realm strengthens until they reach their peak.

Beyond these physical and mental changes however, the druid is capable of many feats due to their new, deep connection with the Fae realm. After they first connect their soul to the Fae realm, the shifts in their mental and physical state will be minor. The abilities available to them for learning and use would allow the druid to imbue a protective spirit within wind chimes to stave off mischievous Fae, the other being the creation of Fairy Fire, which provides a simple, largely harmless distraction to aid in keeping unwanted visitors from certain areas.
As their attunement to the Forest progresses, the druid's physical and mental changes become more severe and noticeable. With this new growth they will be able to learn to harness the power of runes and their connection to the Forest itself. Using the power to create new Fae Rings rather than depending on their natural growth, as well as seeking out and forming a pact with a Fae companion from the Fae Realm itself.
At the final stage of growth the druid's mental changes are quite notable, and the physical manifestation of the Forest's influence on their soul impossible to hide. It is here that the two treasured rituals can be learned: how to summon the spirits of departed druids to a Fae Ring for communication and visiting, and then how to transcend the veil between mortal and Fae realms. Allowing the druid's soul to venture into the Eternal Forest itself, though this ability is quite dangerous and should be treated with all the care and respect such a feat is due. For a soul that is harmed or lost within the Forest is a soul likely lost to it entirely, or forever harmed due to misjudgment.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

The magic itself does not have clear sections or subsections. The spells available for learning do seem to come in several different types however. Infusions which function as small area of effect spells, largely aesthetic though with minor uses in roleplay. Then ritual spells, which pull directly from the power of the Fae Realm. These must be done at certain times in rp to be effective, and allow the druid to create connections between the Fae Realm and mortal realm that otherwise aren't possible. Connections which allow them to bind a Fae spirit to their own, create a Fae Ring which would act as a doorway into the Fae Realm, and even call upon the deceased spirits of druids who had entered the Forest and bring them to the mortal plane for a brief time. Finally, there is the ritual of Transcendence itself. A spell like a ritual, yet so much more. This must be overseen by ST, as it is a venturing of the druids into the Fae Realm itself. Druids, Fae, Mani, or other things may be encountered, and will very likely kill the druid as soon as help them. It is necessary then, to be fully prepared on an IC and OOC level before enacting that final spell. The consequences of such an event can be dire.

    Fairy Fire [4 Emotes]

[1] Pacing out through the dark night, lit only by the full moon overhead, a small figure stepped into a ring of mushrooms. The silence around was broken only on an otherworldly level. Nature's voices all merging together in one continual chorus within the ring. Settling in the center, the druid placed a bowl on the mossy earth. Pulling a leather bag from their belt, they emptied the contents into the bowl. Crimson kuila dust, glinting silver in the moonlight. Likewise did the druid's hands begin to glow. Silver mist flowing round their hands like water through the air.

[2] Placing their hands over the bowl, the flow of silver energies began to envelop the kuila dust within. The natural material, in tune with nature's song, flared to life. Crimson melding with silver within that bowl as the druid fed energy into the dust. More energy flowed from their person, dripping from their hair and head like water. Swirling down their arms to fill and overflow the bowl before them.

[3] In that quiet night the druid's voice rose in a soft chant. Words spoken to the wind, sky and earth, as the life the world granted was given freely now. The crimson kuila shone still, mixing with the silver of the moonlight and the druid's energy. It continued to feed into the dust, imbuing it with the power of the night. The mesmerizing moonlight, captured within.

[4] Eventually the outpouring of energy died down. The druid's hands drew back as the last vestiges of silver energy made their way to the bowl. Flowing round its surface as gradually the energy sunk fully into the dust within. That glowed for a few moments more before it too, darkened. Returning to its normal appearance, yet now imbued with the enchanted flames of the Fae Realm. If lit, the effect of such fire would be made known. Able to distract and lead astray, as the mischievous spirits of the Nightfall realm did...

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

Chimes of the Wildspirit [4 Emotes]

[1] Through dark paths two figures ventured. One holding onto a small string of bones. They clinked together, whistling softly as the breeze passed over them. Reaching a ring of mushrooms set in a small clearing bathed in moonlight, one of the figures gestured to the ring. "Enter. Hold the chimes before you. Be mindful not to break them. As you draw upon your power, call out to the spirit of the creature. The veil is thin this night, with the moon full. Your voice, and your strength combined may call the spirit to return."

The student did as instructed. Entering the ring with the chimes. Taking a place in the center, laying the chimes across their knees. Turning their face heavenwards, bathed now in silver moonlight, their features began to glow with a soft amber hue. The soul within calling upon the connection with nature even as their lips parted. A quiet chant beginning.

[2] Keeping well back from the ring, the teacher crouched low. Their gaze remained locked on the student. Voice dropping to little more than a whisper as they continued to offer guidance to the one within the boundary. "Focus on the creature as you remember it in life. As you call its name, allow  your strength to reach outwards. Both to the chimes and to the Forest beyond that you cannot touch. Call them forth."

Amber crackled down the student's arms, licking across their flesh like flame. Dancing around the collection of carefully carved bone even as the voice rose higher in the night. Calling out to the deceased spirit, calling for a return to the land left behind.

[3] "Keep your focus steady and your intention true. It will hear you, if you are patient." Keen eyes watched the area, reflecting the silver of the moonlight. They offered no further words to the chanting druid, nor moved to interfere with their work.

To the one in the circle, a presence became known. A quiet voice joining the chorus around them. The sound of small feet moving as if in time to their chant. An ethereal visage was barely visible now. Prancing round the outskirts of the ring. The form of a small rabbit, the rabbit the druid had called upon to make its return. As it came into view, the druid sent a surge of energy into the bone chimes they held. Fusing that call with the material itself.

[4] A slow smile spread over the silent teacher's face. Unnoticed by their student, they'd nod in approval. Feeling the shift in the area as the animal's spirit made itself known. It had answered the call. "Bind it now. Bind that cry and call to the creature. So that it will always know where to find its form. This is its body, and it will protect it from intruders. It will keep the Fae at a distance." They called forth.

The amber flames rushed down the druid's arms. Engulfing the chimes completely for a few seconds more. That chant suddenly died off, words echoing in the night. The song of the druid's soul now heard only in the chimes themselves. Energy coursing through them, burning that cry into the chimes' foundation. And then the flames burned out as the ethereal form seemed to dive for the chimes. Dying off, leaving the moonlight overhead as the only light source. A soft glow remained around the chimes for but a moment. A quiet, constant hum audible to the druids and nature now coursing through them.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would bring up the lore for them with the redlines to the ability or affect in question. Go over the redlines with them, then the rp they had done. Help them see where they had crossed the redlines and correct it. I would ensure they read the lore once again so that they would not repeat the mistake. If it should be repeated even then, I would contact LT to assist with communicating where the student had gone wrong and how to correct it.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Druidic Herblore

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Druidic Herblore is a Feat that is a subtype of druidism. It is able to be learned by those holding a Druidism Communion and Control MA, so long as they are at least Tier 3 in that magic. The Feat of Herblore focuses on the alteration of plant life for small, utilitarian and aesthetic uses for druidic characters. They focus on the manipulation of plant life, altering such to suit the everyday needs or desires of the druid in question. Ranging from simply altering a physical or medicinal property of a plant to infusing a mass of plant life into a living bandage with healing energy, to crafting hallucinogenic concoctions to be utilized in cultural and druidic visions and the creation of simple, plant based life forms to be small companions to a druid. Largely meant to be aesthetic and flavorful, this feat provides options to druids who desire a more whimsical, magical everyday use for their abilities and gives alternatives to alchemical means of achieving the same effect.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Not directly, though druidic blood mages do have access to additional abilities with herblore crossover. These however are only accessible to druids with both Herblore and Blood Magic.

    Granted Vision [4 emotes]

[1] Crouching over a flat rock, a figure laid gathered plants in the midst. Piling them up together, foliage from bushes, berries, as well as bark trimmed from trees. Taking up a smaller rock with both hands, they began to crush and grind the plants between the two. Silver wisps of energy began to arise from their hands, wrapping round the rock and pooling amidst the ingredients.

[2] Brushing the ingredients into a bowl of water after they were thoroughly crushed, the flow of energy was continued. Cupped in the druid's hands, the silver mist flowed around the bowl and into the mixture. As the energy fused with it, the water and foliage began to mix. Slowly at first, bubbling as they mixed.

[3] Material breaking apart into pieces smaller and smaller. The contents of the bowl rippled with an ethereal silver hue. Tossing in a final ingredient - berries crushed between wooden fingers - the mixture was allowed to settle. Though there was no fire, it bubbled and churned as if simmering over hot coals. The silver hue growing ever stronger as each of the ingredients were broken down and mixed with one another.

[4] With a final surge of silver, the bowl seemed almost on the verge of boiling over. The concoction glowed softly still, even as the surge of energy from the druid's hands drew to an end. Waiting just a few moments before turning to empty the prepared brew into a bottle.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

    Sealing Moss [3 Emotes]

[1] The elder druid gave a shake of their head. Eyes flaring silver, they gestured to the plants around them. "Connect with the inner spark you bear. Listen to nature's hymn, and prepare to pull your strength forth. You'll be using it and what's around you to cover the wound."

At the guide's request their student fell to the earth. Taking up handfuls of grass and nearby leaves from the bushes. A wound on their arm leaked crimson blood. Their teacher gestured towards it, and the student placed the plant matter against the open wound.

[2] Breathing out quietly, the elder crouched just next to them. Their own eyes shimmering, yet not conjuring any energy further. Listening only, it seemed. "Now, pull upon the strength within your soul. The connection to the songs around you. You'll use your energy, that connection, to weave these plants together in one, solid form. Fusing it to your flesh."

Gritting their teeth as they applied pressure to the bleeding wound, the student's eyes flared. Wisps of energy began to appear around their hand. Traveling from it over to the plant matter they held. Weaving between the threads of grass and leaves, the material began to visibly be knit together. Morphing from what it was into a strange, mossy material.

[3] "Good. Continue. Will it to grow, to meet with your flesh and adhere to it. The energy within will remain, preventing bloodloss and infections." Sitting back on their heels they'd continue to observe the other druid. Ensuring the process was followed to completion, not left off without the moss adhering to their skin.

With a final wave of energy the mossy patch grew large enough to cover the wound entirely. Its edges now growing sticky, adhering itself to the person's flesh. The blood dripping down their arm would soon cease, blocked by the patch itself. As they pulled their hand away, the mossy seal was left in place. Stuck to their skin, hard enough to remain in place yet not so much as to provide protection. A natural, plant formed scab.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I'd have the lore brought up. Show them the redlines of the spell they were using, and how their emotes went past what was allowed for the lore. I'd have them summarize the piece and its limits in turn, to ensure they read it and understood where they went wrong. If it should repeat even after that, I would turn to LT for help in correcting the powergaming emotes. Hopefully the student would listen to my point first, but if need be the extra authority of an LT can be called upon to ensure that powergaming is not continuing to take place after it was previously corrected.

  13. Two comments from here:
For ungrowth, you specifically state that it may not be used on Epiphyte plants or Soul Trees. However this ability is the only ability they have to move their plants. Both lores state that you must have permission oocly and icly for ungrowing to be used however. Do you mean for these CAs to no longer be able to move their plants, or can this be altered to reflect their current CA lore and allow for use with given permission?

The other is a purely aesthetic question. Powersharing currently has a non combative, non utility purpose. Granting warmth and comfort to another Druid when used by sharing the harmony and life of the world with a distressed Druid. Would it be possible to maintain that aesthetic/non combative use, or would it cause conflict with Powersharing’s new function?
