Born from a wood-elf lumberjill, who, while chopping wood in the forest, observes a human man foraging for apples in one of her family's trees. The lumber jill begins to fall in love with the man and one day saves him from a violent attack from a bear, thus they begin to have a relationship. Unfortunately the man dies after being attacked by the same bear she saved him from but not long after she finds out she’s preganant with Sylvie-Rose. When the woman’s family finds out she’s pregnant, they disown her and she flees to Fenn where she raises her child, who despite having her wood-elf genes has fair hair and skin and is visibly different from her peers. It’s because of this physical abnormality that she is shunned often by her friends. The pair struggle against the province’s prejudice.
