The Waesorian line reaches all the way back to 1639, beginning with Geneve Winthrow and Ardor Waesorian. With the dissolving of the Holy Orenian Empire, there were a plethora of conflicts and grudges to be had, which resulted in Geneve and Ardor to become assassins. At first, they were each others competition, but ended up falling in love and bearing a child, Granre Waesorian. Granre took on the familys line of work and became an assassin, eventually becoming known as the Wraith of Renatus. Granre’s legacy carried on throughout the Waesorian line, as all but a select few grew to be fearsome, unmerciful assassins. The Waesorians were widely feared, and hunted amongst all for the innumerable amount of deaths that originated with them. The parents of Aelin Waesorian were no different, killing mercilessly as a means to pay their bills and survive. However, when Aelins mother, Marnya, realized she was pregnant, she and Aelins father Daryius vowed to give their child a normal life. They left their assassin occupations behind and became blacksmiths and shopkeeps. Aelin was eventually born and was the light of their lives, up until they were brutally murdered when Aelin was only 7 years old. Their murderer, Anyus Kranken, believed he was exacting revenge as Aelins parents had assassinated his sister 5 years earlier. Anyus, wanting revenge but not willing to murder a child, dropped Aelin at an orphanage in Renatus. Aelin, knowing her familys reputation, never divulged her full name, and eventually fled the orphanage to continue her familys legacy. Whilst her parents didn’t want Aelin to become apart of the assassin lifestyle, they still explained their history, not willing to withhold the truth from their child. Little did they know, Aelin would go on to follow the family legacy, nearly gaining a larger reputation than her ancestor Granre. She is now 23 years old, and has become callous to the world due to a life of murder and destruction. Nobody knows that she is, in fact, a Waesorian, only going by her first name, and using aliases when necessary. She stays in a home in Renatus, where she is attempting to assimilate into civilian life, and end her run as an assassin.
