Eric is a merchant that was brought up around the city of Kaz'Ulrah, peddling goods to and from Dwarven cities. This is where him and his family established themselves -- and where they continue to do so, or did rather. They were humble traders that made their life from the trade of goods alone but then a war occurred from the Renatus which ended up bringing down the dwarven cities, effectively, ruining the trade for the family. Due to this they became rought in poverty and had no money to help themselves grow, his parents became ill and eventually passed away -- unfortunate. From here on Eric wanted to be rich and wealthy again and thus upon hearing of a recent expedition to the lands of Arc, he decided that would be the best opportunity for him.
