  1. "And there I stood, face to face with a behemoth, with only an eye." -Unknown What is a Cyclops? A cyclops is a rather giant, bumbling creature with only an one eye planted in the square middle of their face. They are very hostile beings, and don't even welcome other cyclopes into their domain. They're body is very deformed, much like their face, and is covered in blemishes and warts all around its leathery skin. Their skin ranges from a pale, fleshy color to a dark green, but is really only a matter of where a cyclops lives; Hotter conditions would mean darker skin, colder would mean lighter skin.Cyclopes also stand higher than most common trolls by only a few feet, a fraction more if you're counting the horn mounted atop their heads. Their hands are burly and rough, with claws extending down from their four fingers, reaching over 6 inches at most. They live long lives, up to nearly 500 years naturally but are often times slayed before-hand, due to their peskiness. Unlike trolls, Cyclops are active and awake in day times, having lost the Old curse many millenniums ago. They hunt and scavenge for most likely whatever living thing they can find, presumably whatever race they settle near. But sense their largeness has given them a disadvantage of being terribly slow, they usually rely on ambushes to get their bellies fed. Behavior As stated before, Cyclopes aren't the most welcoming group around. They're prone to attacking anything inside what they believe to be their 'lands' and often times eat whatever they might catch. They hardly ever come in contact with other Cyclops, both because of rarity and because of their possessive nature. Cyclops hardly ever mate because of this and new cyclops are very rare, one being born around every 200 years or so. Cyclopes are carnivores and as being such eat only meat, which comes from a variety of sources; sheep, cows, pigs and usually people. A hungry cyclops is not one to cross, their usual docile nature swells to be even larger, wrecking and hitting anything in sight. A cyclops is a very dumb creature compared to any of the four races, and can only speak in choppy sentences and grunts, for example; *The cyclops is approached by a wandering human, looking up to it, the human trembles, weakly giving a* "Hello.." *The Cyclops snorts, its eye flicks downwards looking at the human* "Hee-lu, snook." (Hello, snack) Not only is a cyclops' speech rather dim, their thinking and actions are too, they'll often make brutish choices and don't think about them twice. So as if a tree presented itself an obstacle for a normal man, they would walk around it, but being a cyclops, it would try to clobber the tree over. A cyclops often is never seen wearing clothes, mostly because their whole lower half is often covered in fur, but some choose to wear them regardless, but it isn't a common spectacle. Where might I find a cyclops? Even though the cyclopes are very close relatives to Trolls, you'll never find one living in a cave, unless they absolutely have to. This is because, Cyclops prefer to sleep and hunt in the open sky, so usually they set up messes of wood and stone pens on top of hills. While it leaves them exposed to nature and hunters, their too stubborn to change their ways, having been doing so long before the races came along to their island. Key Points Strengths; -Very big -Strong -Can survive in the daytime -Are able to speak(ish) Weaknesses; -Limited vision -Bumbling Bafoons -Sluggish -Very dim History In an uncharted land, their lived a group of four trolls, very ancient trolls, whom looked nothing like the trolls today. Unchallenged in size and strength, these trolls began to spread rapidly, a bit too rapidly. They flourished and thrived for many years, but soon all the meat they had been eating, and all the animals they'd been snacking on, began to diminish. Food became scarce, and slowly the population dwindled down to a mere ten of the hundreds they had before and although these ten were not the brightest trolls, they knew they had to rekindle their numbers somehow. At first, It was only one or two being born with the strange defect, but then it began to take over these trolls. The larger, one-eyed spawn of the trolls began to dominate the numbers, outweighing the regular, original trolls by 3 to 1. They were rougher, dumber and more hostile then the other trolls, often times killing or maiming the smaller trolls in their young age. It became something like evolution for these trolls, and although they only had one-eye, the cyclopes for whatever reason didn't possess the curse that their parents held, giving them more times to hunt and collect for themselves of course. Soon, in a matter of years, the once ancient trolls had been completely taken over by the new, larger cyclopes. But, as the cyclopes prevailed, their hostile nature proved to make hunting in groups almost impossible. After several gruesome beatings, the cyclopes began to spread out and away from their brothers, taking home to the vast lands that they lived upon. They no longer hunted in groups like their parents had done before them, they were only left with a lonely and solemn life alone, tackling nature with only one eye to guide them, as it is today. Playing a Cyclops It's probally on your mind how can I play these awesome creatures! If they're accepted, please just pm me over the forums, only around 4 cyclopes is what I'd like to see played.
