Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
*Traknar sits on the cushion, brow furrowed in confusion at her lack of fear*
"You're not going to tell them where I am are you?"
"Who my dear?"
*Traknars eyes dart towards the front of the tent then back to the Hag*
"They say my people are monsters nothing but servants to the dark lord"
"And..... are you?" says the Hag with a smug grin
"No!" Traknar declares
The world was held in silence. This is the first time Traknar realized he had no master to obey. And no members left of his clan
"....no" he says with sorrow
just then an army of peasant riders pass the town. Tracknar goes to hide under a pile of clothes. But notices the riders pass by without even acknowledging the towns existence
"Wha- why? They've been following me since yester eve why not stop to look here?" Traknar says in an emotional tone
The hag replies with a grin "there are things in this swamp that are worse than you Goblin"
"now please sit and tell me about your story"
"Okay but I must keep it quick I must find my kin"
"My family were humble workers skilled in their craft. My father was a silversmith. My mother a shopkeeper. We lived on the outskirts of our peoples domain supplying the local chiefs with expensive cutlery and decor. Ive picked up more of my habits from my mother than my father. Ive always been good at commerce but less so at the forge. I always wanted to be like mother. She ran the shop like a captain runs a ship." Traknar says laughing "Im hoping that one day once ive escaped and im long gone from here to open up my very own shop...."
