    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using information that you acquired out of roleplay. Specifically, it's using information your character wouldn't know. For example, using knowledge of enemy battle plans you wouldn't have access to so that you may get the upper hand.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Showing unrealistic feats such as beating something unrealistic and creating something which is overly powered. For example, roleplaying as if your attacks automatically connect or hit or that you are stronger than one thing when you are clearly not.

He would slowly approach the stranger staring down at him form is very obvious height advantage and say "You are talking to me?" he would then laugh and simply brush past him saying "I am looking for a foe who is worthy of my time, to fight and conquer" . "But first I eat" He then walks up to not a food shop but an animal stock market looking for the biggest cow he can find. He says "This one. Now!" to the keeper of the shop not realising he's poorer than anyone else he sees around him. He growls the sound "Nuagh" and storms off clentching his fists.
