You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Saphielle walked closer, each energetic step causing the crimson waves of her hair to bounce slightly before coming to a halt as she sat. She stretched her arms back, making herself comfortable before starting with her retelling. "Everything started when I was born, my parents always said their worries started on that day." She gave a dramatic shrug with an illuminated face. "Whatever that means." She continued "Anyways, I was sickly growing up and the old ones never let me leave home because of it. For the longest time I just read whatever books they had lying around in the house to stave off my boredom. But eventually, I wanted to actually see and do the things told of in them." She stopped for a moment, seemingly pondering something. "My health eventually improved enough for me to move without aid. I thought that meant I could finally live but I was a fool." She stopped for a moment to slap her cheeks gently with both hands, resetting herself to her originally cheery demeanor. "I finally left some time later and haven't looked back since. I'm gonna learn all there is to know about creation and find myself a pretty lady." She said the last part with a confident grin plastered across her face, her lavender eyes practically sparkled. "So there's your answer, I hope I didn't shock you too greatly." She finished her answer, dusting her skirt with her hands as she stood up. "Now just watch me achieve it all." She walked out with an air of confidence unusual for a high elf of her stature.
