Malcolm Rosario was born in the tribe of Hyspia and as a boy was raised along the outskirts of Tierra Natal under a Canonist orphanage. Throughout his childhood he would be indoctrinated into the beliefs of The Church, which continue to fuel him today. Malcolm arrived to Almaris alongside many other Canonists in the Orenian capital where he would remain under the guardianship of the clergy until he came of age. Throughout his adolescents he continued to study the scriptures and Canon law; though most of his time was spent doing menial tasks for the church to earn his stay, thus he is nowhere near a scholar of the scriptures. While he calls himself a fervent believer, he has always held some semblance of doubt, which had always been met with discipline by the priests who raised him. The lack of knowledge or answers has pushed him to learning more about his faith, though his upbringing has made him hostile to the ideas that it could be false.
Because of his arrival to Almaris and separation from his fellow Hysperians, Malcolm does not know much of his own people outside of the stories he's heard of their excommunication and conversion to the Red Faith, which troubles him deeply. As such, when he became of age to be separated from the clergy's guardianship, he has set out to find the remaining Hysperians in hope of restoring their belief in The Church of Canon.
Malcolm wandered the port aimlessly, amazed and anxious by the new sights and experiences. Though he'd lived near a city before, the riches and chaos of the market were not something he'd been exposed to. Upon being confronted by the stranger he'd return the smile and friendly attitude "Evening friend--I've come to this land in hopes to continue my education in The Holy Scrolls and Canon Law" after exchanging pleasantries Malcolm would resume his unfocused journey through the plaza.
