    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: metagaming i would define as out right cjeating i mean there should be a story and some form of lore leading up to your RP character gaining this knowledge
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: i would define powergaming as being a dark souls boss and character that is not powergaming is a level 1 knight with no equipment or items

Elric steps off the boat and looks at the man with a look of joy "Hello sir i am here seeking adventure and unknown thrills" he bellows with such excitement as he unloads his luggage onto the docks looking around at the bazaar bustling with life, Elric adds to the conversation "This town is very cheerful i would love to learn about the history" he smiles at the man with such excitement, The man responds happily and shows Elric around the city, the night came so Elric enquires to the man and asks "is there a inn around here that could get me through the night" the man happily shows Elric they way and makes sure he gets a room,

 

As elric lays down for the night in the new town he thinks to himself "i wonder what adventures await me tomorrow"
