    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you take out of character information and utilise it to your character's in-roleplay gain. In example; a friend tells you that he's across the world and something just happened, so you say what just happened, in roleplay, to someone random.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you ignore other players' actions and/or automatically do yours without giving chance for the other player to react.

Radgrim had never been to a city so grand, and even the port looked massive in comparison to any other place he'd ever been to. The trip here, however, was a hassle, and the dwarf looked forwards to step out of the ship and go out there, to try and seek work and put himself on the sheets and ledgers as a good man. However, not more than two steps in, and he'd already been hailed by someone. Am I expected? he thought, and of course, he wasn't. The question made him shrug, and scratch his beard in thought. He spoke, then;

"Why, m'friend. Oi'm here fer some adventure, tha's fer sure. Who isn't, eh? Oi've a promise ta'keep, but fo' righ' now, wot Oi nee' is a wee lil' bit of work, and som' rest. So, if yew'll ex'use me, Oi'm gonnae foind m'self an inn t'lay me 'ead down for a wee bit!"
