    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when someone uses knowledge that had been required out of character in character. For example: If you are talking to your friend and they tell you their plans of ambushing another character, if you tell that other character about those plans, it would be considered metagaming
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you make make your character or play your character as though they are a god or above natural ability. For example: If you said that when you had attacked someone it had killed them instantly with little effort, that would be considered powergaming

Adelyn steps of the boat, excitement already bubbling in her stomach. As she walks forward she notices a man walking towards her, smiling, he welcomes her and asks her what she is doing in the city.

Adelyn pull down her hood which covers her eyes, staring into his. She replies:

"Thank you! I am here for adventure, the elation of a new place with new people. However, I can only hope the other citizens are as friendly as you."

She lifts up her hood  once again, walking off, her eyes dart around as she watches people go past.
