    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming involves using information that would be otherwise unknown to my character but found by out of character means such as third party mediums like discord or the lotc forums. It would be using this information unfairly, and poisoning the authenticity of my character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming involves using and emoting situations to be overpowering over proponents of my character, such as in combat situations or even in banal roleplay situations where I unfairly control or emote the scenario to my own benefit, disregarding the actions and intentions of other players.

Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. Your response must be at least four sentences long and include at least one action and at least one piece of dialogue surrounded by quotes. 

Adaline warily looked at the guy who just startled her " Uh thanks.. I'm just passing through on an adventure" she would say hastily. Adaline grows uncomfortable being around him and starts looking around. " The bazaar is really big here, eh?" she would ask to change the subject so he doesn't ask why she's alone.  She wraps her arms around herself in a protective manner wanting to keep going on her walk. After the conversation Adaline waves goodbye to the man and starts looking around the shops.
