Hadik was born near the settlement of the cavern dwarves (Urguan), his mother was going to get some materials for her family when she went into labor. Under regular circumstances his mother, Talf, would not have given birth this way. She fought to keep him in but with the spirit of a thousand warriors he fought against her and thus was born. His father, Atilla was always very proud of him until Hadik was the age of 6, when he and his younger brother(Otty) went exploring a nearby mountain cave. Otty was deeper in the cave and Hadik was playing with his tomahawk, His brother yelled to him, telling him to stop, but Hadik couldn't hear it. So he continued, until he slipped up on his grip and his tomahawk flew out of his hands hitting a group of loose rocks, causing the cave in that smashed his brother. When the incident occurred he called to his brother, there was a faint yelp coming from the other side of the collapse, Hadik tried to brush aside the boulders but didn't possess the strength yet. He ran home to tell his father what had occurred. When he was done they rushed back towards the cave but they were to late, by the time they had finally gotten all the rocks moved it was dusk and as they looked into the dark pit where the rocks had fallen and the dust settled, they saw the cold lifeless body of the poor Otty. A rock lay on his spine pinning him down onto the floor and it was clear that he had suffered, alone, pinned to the floor, gasping for air as the dust and lack of oxygen finally made him succumb to the darkness he saw all around him; he suffered a lot. His father never looked at him the same again, blaming him for his other sons death. Two years later Hadiks mother, Talf, got word that her sister, Dila Ebgran fell in love with a human and adopted an elf. Concerned for her sister's safety, she made her way towards the forest Dwarves but was ambushed by a group of humans who thought it was her sister. They killed Talf trying to kill the person who had interbred (this shows how much race plays a part in things). This lead Hadik's family and Deulara's family to become closer, as they now kept the secret of her existence. Hadik has also gotten to know the human, Alexander Ashryn, who was the lover of Dila, he is why Hadik doesn't hate all humans. When Hadik became 10, his father, who still blamed him for his brothers death, said it was tradition to have a family ceremony for his turning from a child to a beardling. This ceremony meant that he would start growing his beard and could never cut his hair since it is part of Dwarven heritage in addition to physiology. He is now exploring the vast mountain peaks and trying to find ways to fly while waiting for his next endeavor.
My character responds with "What did you just say to me?!"-not listening to what he said, the man repeats himself (I respond)-"oh sorry, I'm a little jumpy. Yeah many different things I could do, what do you think I came here for" The man repeats the same statement again (I respond again)-"Are you broken or something? You keep saying the same thing." The man once again repeats himself (I say)-"Can you say anything else?" the man turns to face Hadik, this time a somber look in his eyes, he repeats the same phrase another time and a tear trickles down his face (I respond)-"Don't worry I'll free you from your curse." Hadik turns and looks at the masses of people around him, "What coward commands this man?" nobody moves "What say you, Show yourself coward", then all of a sudden a high elf steps out, I may not be the tallest, certainly not compared to him, but I can definitely fight better than him, I pull out my axe and get into a fighting position. I was never one to back down from a fight, but this one had magic, this was unfair. I needed back up. I whistle and with that an average stature, thin, girl with amber colored hair and two different colored eyes, purple and brown jumps down from the top of some shops. It was my friend/cousin Deulara. Together we stood there ready for anything, me with my axe and Deulara with her falx. The high elf saw us and chuckled but eventually after dodging and reflecting his magic and multiple gashes to the side we defeated him. The original man jumped up and down with relief and walked up to me a shook my hand, but Deulara slipped back into the shadows before he got to us. He thanked me for setting him free and I told him that it was my pleasure, after all he seemed like a decent person, not one of those barbaric human scum that attack on sight. Also the magic the elf was using was forbidden, seems like something is amuck, if only we had a lead.
