    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the usage of out of game knowledge while playing an in-game character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is enabling your own character to do something that he/she should not be able to do. In a way you make your character "immortal" at the expense of others.

Arne walks up the docks and into the market, hoping to find an inn to stay at for the next few days. "Welcome", he heard. He turned his head and took a long look at the well-dressed gentleman before he responded. "Hello", he began "I am lookin' fer a place te stay, anything ye could recommend?."
