Born in 1761, Adeline had grown up in quite a beautiful time. Under the rule of Peter III, her home outside Helena had been rather peaceful during her time there, even if her parents had not. Her parents had raised her to be able to finally make it into the walls of Helena, for her life as an adult to be better than theirs had. She spent her childhood learning to cook and run the farm of her parents, running through the forests with friends. She grew from a little girl to a young woman looking for a future, but never having the courage to go and make a life for herself elsewhere. However, as news of murders in Sutica of members of the Imperial family spread, she knew that now would bring an end to her peace, and she had to either start a new life inside the walls, or suffer the fates of war and risk losing everything.
Adeline packed up some small bags and the mina that she had gained from selling pickled goods and other farmed commodities, and walked across the bridge into the city. She wandered for a while, before setting her sights on Novellen Palace, and thought about a job within. She looked behind her, to the gate where she had came, and began to make her way to look for some servantry job inside.
Adeline looked around with awe at the area around her, folding her hands in front of herself nervously as she took in her surroundings. As the man approached her, her eyes went somewhat wide. “Oh! A change of scenery, and looking for somewhere safer, really.” She’d offer him a pursed smile as she let a breath out through her nose in an attempt to remain calm. She’d dip her head to him before continuing on in the city.
