    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a person gets information out of roleplay and then brings it with them so their character somehow mysteriously aquires knowledge or abilities that their character would otherwise have no reason knowing.

Lucius is a Human and High-elf mixture making him a Half-elf. He is the result of a one time affair between his human mother and his High-elf father. His mother died eight years after his birth. As a result, he went in search for his father. When he found his father, his father tried to kill him after confirming the truth of his birth, but failed and gave Lucius his defining scar. Lucius was born in Oren, despite his father being from Haelun'or. He was homeschooled by his mother for the first 8 years of his life. After she died, he drifted from city to city scrounging for food and shelter- trying to find whomever his father was. He wasn't able to make many friends due to his stealing to survive and constantly moving. His interest in magic stems from the magic his father also used to try and kill him

Physical Description: Athletic, agile, and ordinary looking young man. Has short black hair, brown eyes, 160lbs, 5'8". Scar over the nose.
Roleplay Scenario:

Lucius takes his eyes off the beautiful landscape to address the man. "Hey there!" he exclaims " I'm here for all of the above. My name is Lucius Maxim, Sir, what's yours?" he says as he steps forward to engage with him.

  • Your Character Biography states that your character's parents are high elf and human. That mix together would make your character a half elf, not a halfling! I do reccomend reading through the races section of the wiki.
  • Your Personality Traits/Quirks need to include at least one significant negative trait. This can be anything that is a fault in their personality.
  • To address your question, magic is sought out in roleplay; after finding a teacher, doing the proper roleplay for whatever that magic requires, you may submit an MA (Magic Application) and begin to learn that magic under guidance and proper roleplay. How your character's class and the magic they pursue mesh together is really depends on the magic you pick. I'd say, once you've found a teacher, as them more about it in depth.
