    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Jumping out of character and obtaining information via OOC text or voice chat, and taking actions based on that knowledge. For example, my friend in LOTC's is being attacked and I jump in to save him, whitout my character in game knows what's happening.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you are declaring that your actions against another player is successful without giving the other player any chance to act on their own free will. For example, my character is a fat dwarf and goes on a race against a Elve or a Human and I say that I won it.

Rorin walks around town heading to the market, being disturbed by the gentlemen, he grumbles giving a cold look and without commenting.

 

The gentleman says "Am I disturbing you, dwarf?". Rorin laughs sarcastically, reaching for the axe handle attached to his back as he says "Do we have a problem? I'm here in peace, for some ale and maybe some adventure. Just leave me be or we will have problems."

 

The gentleman withdraws, taking steps back with some fear of the dwarf. Confused by his temper, he starts to stutter "Calm down, I'm just here to welcome you!"

 

 

The dwarf laughs again, starting to walk and saying with his back turned "Be useful and tell me where the nearest tavern is." The gentleman pointed with his finger, unable to say anything and seeing the dwarf ignoring him.
