    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when a person takes advantage of information outside of a roleplay for them to use inside of it, such as when a fighter in a battle knows his opponent's weakness through out-of-character measures, despite not receiving the information within the roleplay.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when a person unfairly imposes their actions upon other roleplayers. An example of this can be when a roleplayer specifically words their action(s) to be "unblockable" or "indefensible."

Nithalya takes a step forward and inhales the fresh and crisp air, her eyes fluttering shut. She enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the busy city, which vastly contrasted the long, sweet song of silence that she had grown accustomed to all of her life. Her brown eyes linger between the denizens of the area, observing the countless forms mixing and mingling and interacting with one another in a multitude of ways. Their liveliness raised the corners of Nithalya’s mouth into a warm smile.

She was about to advance farther into the busy market but comes to an abrupt halt following the approach of the stylish gentleman nearby. She reciprocates his radiant smile with one of her own. After all, he was the one kind enough to issue her a comfortable welcome. “It is a lovely city, indeed, sir. I’m just stopping by for the sights and such,” Nithalya responds with a half-truth. Yes, she did want to take a moment to enjoy the welcoming ambiance of the city, but her true plans lay in seeking to buy more suitable materials for her medicines. She didn’t want to give that away, of course. “It looks very promising so far…” She adds, averting her gaze from him to momentarily provide emphasis to her statement and lightly gesture to their animated surroundings.
