Pelilasdir was of the young age of 18 when he first saw the war ships heading for the Meranesian Islands during a stormy night, the town bells rang alerting everyone of the danger coming. Pelilasdir and his mother fled to the ships where they tried to flee to the mainland, but the warships would not allow them to escape. The small ships that they were on were boarded and people were ripped out of the cabins, him and his mother were torn apart, as he was ripped from his mothers arms he slipped and fell off the ship, he drifted off, unconscious. He awoke on a ship. It was rocking smoothly in the water. He looked around the room he was in, and it didn’t seem to be a jail or anything like that. So he got up and left the room. A man that looked like he could be the captain of the ship stood on the deck of the ship and supervised the crews’ duties. Pelilasdir coughed to get the man’s attention. “Ah your awake young lad.” The man stated. “When we fished ye out of the water, I thought ye were long gone, but nay, you were a fighter, I respect that.” The man continued. “Oh where are me manners, the names Baelf, I’m the captain of this fine ship. And you are?” He asked. The man Baelf was definitely a dwarf, but why was a dwarf on a ship, he wondered. “The name’s Pelilasdir Frostfyre, I’m from the Meranesian Islands, I need to go back to the islands, I need to go back to my mot--“ A sudden shock ripped through Pelilasdir’s consciousness, the island was attacked, mother was taken.... He looked back up or towards the dwarf. “How long was I out for.” Pelilasdir asked. “Oh a few weeks give or take.” He stated. “A-A few weeks, they’d be long gone by now.” Pelilasdir said shock still. “Who laddie?” The dwarf questioned. “The soldiers that attacked my home.” Pelilasdir said, coldly. “Ah well, if ye can’t go back then, ye are more than welcome to work for me. I could use the extra hands.” The dwarf looked at him with a questioning look. “Does it pay?” Pelilasdir asked. “Oh of course it does, you frogbite!” The dwarf chuckled. “Alright then I’ll work for you.” Pelilasdir, looked to the horizon as the ship sailed off. He worked with the Baelf for several years, reaching his 50’s, before setting off with the money he’s saved off to lands unknown to him. Pelilasdir grew to respect the forests around him, he knew the forests held many beasts and creatures that are quite powerful. During his travels he came across an ancient city known as Laurelin, the city that the ancient elves came to after being separated from their brethren, his mother told him stories of the ancient elves who were brought here through a portal, the great Larihei, was taught to the young Pelilasdir, she was a great woman who mother admired, but the city of Laurelin was a beautiful city, rich in architecture and design. He found it quite breathtaking, but he had to move on from there and move to a new area. So he would continue his travels towards a brighter tomorrow.
